Nie wieder Sechseck - Teil 3

Hallo,

... today we finally get to the 3rd and last part of our "Never again a hexagon"-series. After the roof was built together and being decorated on the outside and from the inside one might have thought, okay, done... now we can finally start with decorating the upper floor. But my Birgit had already said the roof wasn't finished yet, there would be something missing still... and from the depths of her "May-be-somewhen-somehow-useful-for-somewhat"-boxes she brought this to light.

Merkt Ihr was?
A dovecote? Strange... and what puzzled me even more... eh... just have a close look at this piece! Do you get it? A hexagon!!! What a contribution to the topic "Never again a hexagon!!!" *LOL* But nevertheless - it was already built together. And I would really like to take this opportunity to give some advice to you. Noone can deny it, the time when our feathered friends in the garden need our help to get through winter time comes nearer. So this is the advice of a flutterybeary - if you want to not only do something good to the birds but also to other garden guests you shouldn't lay out not only bird's seed but also other goodies...

Seht Ihr?!
See?! It works! Lay out a piece of strawberry cake and you'll attract a flutterybeary to your birdhouse... *teehee* But now back to business before Birgit is going to ask me if I've had a clown for breakfast... do you remember the tiny dinosaurs we recently got as a gift from Drora? Here's a picture from the archives...

Keep that light green dino at Magica's paw in mind... because now we start with the finishing of the witch tower roof. And this means nothing more than Birgit and her brushes getting in action. Some eggcarton was needed too and afterwards the dovecote didn't look like a dovecote anymore.

Looks somehow like a miniature version of the witch tower, doesn't it? So I've asked Birgit if this was going to be not a dovecote but a dragoncote. She laughed and said this would have been a brilliant idea, too, but indeed this would become apartments for elves. In the Owl Tree Garden of the Old Witch Tower there are already some tiny elves at home... and some more tiny magical beings shall find a safe home in the new witch tower. And because elves like it nice and love flowers Birgit made everything real cozy for the new inhabitants of the witch tower.

Pixie Chic...
Pixie Chic... *grin* And... did you somehow eventually maybe have seen this dragon on the tower top somehow somewhere before? *smile* Yes, that's the changes life has in store for you sometimes, you've been traveling being a tiny light green dinosaur from Israel to Germany and somehow get transfered into a copper coloured dragon sitting on the top of a witch tower. But now we're going to turn around the mini tower a little bit... just to check if this is indeed a hexagon. We've already had sides 1 and 2 and now we get to sides 3 and 4.

And last but not least - who could ever guess that - sides 5 and 6.

This much about the statement "Never again a hexagon" - didn't last long, this resolution. Honestly speaking this didn't surprise me as much as discovering that elves do have doormats in front of their doors. You're never too old to learn! And this is how the mini tower looks in its position on the witch tower roof:

A little bit higher to make sure that the front can be easily moved to open or close the tower. And this is how the whole tower is looking now:

Nun, ich muss zugeben - Birgit hatte wieder mal Recht... Da hatte wirklich noch was gefehlt. ;O)
Well, I have to admit it - Birgit was right once more... There had been something missing still. But now the roof is finally finished ... and where there is a roof there is an upper floor that can be finally furnished! ;O)

Liebe Grüße / Hugs
Flutterby

It was a good idea to take the top of the bird house. It fits so perfectly. Your witches house is wonderful.

I wish you a good election on Sunday, it also means a lot for Denmark, indeed the whole of Europe who is elected. I was on a little mini trip to Berlin last weekend. Nice town, one of my favorite city. It is a big city with everything my heart desires, but it also has a calm that I have not experienced in other cities.
Hugs and great weekend.

Wow! The final touch of magic! The tower is stunning. I wouldn't be surprised if the whole idea of building a hexagon tower started when Birgit found this incredible dovecot.
I'm really happy that the tiny dragon
turned copper and stands on guard on top of the elves' home.
Brilliant!
