Kaffeeklatsch (Nr. 207)

Hallo,

... it's us again!!! The Fan Decimeter of Wankendorf!!! Yesss... the Soccer World Championship in Brazil has started and so it's a question of honor for us to host today's "Kaffeeklatsch". And whatsmore - on Monday will be the first match of the German team.

*kicher*
Nevertheless... if we're really being honest... somehow our enthusiasm about the World Championship isn't very big this time. Somehow it must mean something that the word "fan" is included in the word "fanatism"... And worst of all are the supermarkets at the moment... barely a product can be found without any wrapping in black-red-gold and/or with a football on and/or with a German flag on it. Somehow strange... usually in Germany we are very careful when it comes to patriotism - but whenever the topic is Soccer then everything dives in black-red-gold. But okay.... we are indeed black-red-gold, too... but our fur looks like that if there's a Soccer event or not. And speaking about the flags... well, we're only waving them enthusiastically because today is Sunday! And because a Sunday wouldn't be complete without a nice Sundayafternoon-"Kaffeeklatsch"! And the best - there's a Sunday at the end of every week which means a weekly Sundayafternoon-"Kaffeeklatsch" - but a Soccer World Championship only happens every four years. No question at all who will be the winner of this match! *LOL* And in case you might have asked why we are called the Fan Decimeter of Wankendorf... well, we are still too small for a fan mile! *giggle*

But the members of the Fan Decimeter are for sure fans of a Sundayafternoon-"Kaffeeklatsch" - and so we're wishing you loads of fun later on having one, two cups of tasty Sundayafternooncoffee and one, two, three, four pieces of yummy Sundayafternooncake. And of course we're also wishing to you a great week on top - whether with or without Soccer... ;O)

Liebe Grüße / Hugs

Yes, the 'soccer madness' has started here too. For some weeks now the shops and everything which is related to the soccer world championship is colored in.......yep: Bright Orange here in The Netherlands ;)! We have for example orange cakes for the Sunday afternoon Kaffeeklatsch (of course not only for this occasion), clothes, scarfs and so on:) LOL!! So instead of the choice of just one color (like we have), you are so lucky with even THREE colors of cakes to choose out ;)!!
With two men here sitting on the couch, it is now quiet here, but last Friday evening this was a complete other matter, so just after the first victory of the orange team.........have pity on me ;)!
I love these three bearies with their colored furry coats, well dressed as fans for the World Championship and I wish you all a good soccer match and a cosy Monday evening, when it is their turn to support your team :D LOL!!!
Liebe Grüsse, Schepje und Barney, who will support our neighbours too, because of Germany is their country of birth and Ilona who lives just a few kilometers from the German border, she can hear you all, cheering for the Deutsche Mannschaft ;)!!

I must confess, I am a "loser" when it comes to sports! I know Nothing about ANY of it.... except that it involves a lot of balls and kicking or hitting... !!! Well, I think I have other things to do with my time... but I can appreciate the beautiful Colors of your fan club! And I can appreciate Coffeecake in any form on Any day... and I really don't want to be a "spoil sport" about the big games... So I can wish you a Great success in Whatever way you want it to be! But Gosh, now I come to think of it... I have a Blue Beary and a White Beary.... and a Black Beary.... but NO Red Beary???? I guess I am not a Patriot after all! LOL! (Please don't get me started to think of More Bearys who need more stories and Houses... Castles... Palaces.... I am already in trouble enough!!!)
We will just enjoy our Cake over here in the Clouds......!

The man in my house is connected by
infusion to the TV trying not to
miss a game, forgetting what else goes on in our world. I get to listen to anthems I never dreamed
I'll ever hear.
How much more fun to sit down and have a nice cup of coffee with many
pieces of cake. Your look so
pretty in your mug. It's wonderful you could fit there all
three.
Have a wonderful week!
Hugs, Drora

Hallo Ihr drei gutaussehenden Wankendorfer Deutschland Fans !!

Ulrike

My husband is a football fan (an amateur football player), so we are following all the events in Brasil :)
your team in the cup is adorable!!

Giac hat gesagt…

Hello All,
I honestly wish I cared about soccer because it is all you hear about now. People go on and on and on and it is so difficult to pretend to care! Oh well, at least it brings a lot of people joy.
Have a great week.
Big hugs,
giac

Mal in Folge... DAS soll Jogis Bande erst mal nachmachen!
Liebe Grüße
Melli

Sweden didn't get to the football (or soccer as some may say) World championship this year, but still there is advertising everywhere and like you say, food wrapped in the "Swedish colours" (even if we aren't even in this..) and football on TV all day... Football is really big here in Sweden, but I never really liked it.. =)
But what I do love, is bears! =) So back to bears =) I most say its a great photo off all the "German" bears sitting together with flags like that!!!
Good luck with the games! =)
