4. Advent... und die Frage aller Fragen

Hallo,

... well, to me this is a very big mystery... Advent 4th... this can't be true, can it??? Where has December gone to??? Birgit just says in the background in my case mostly at the BiWuBeary Christmas Market... hehe... well... somehow she might be right about that... *grin* And as promised I'm taking you with me on another tour to the opened BiWuBeary Christmas Market because last week Rosey and I have only shown you the booths... Let's go!

Our Christmas Market is small but cozy... and filled with Christmas spirit. And of course you're able to meet dear friends here and to enjoy the most yummiest treats watering the mouth of every beary... but above all this is also about the question of all questions. No, not the question you may have in mind now... the question making so many people start to shout "Aaaaahhhhrrrrgggghhhh!!!!!!" before Christmas... the question "Do you already have all the presents for Christmas?" No, that's not a question we would ever worry about... for this we have Birgit who keeps in her mind all year long that Christmas Eve is at December 24... and for the rest there's Santa... i. e. if you have been good over the year and were able to gain enough good points in the Golden Book... hopefully there will be enough for me this year... I really tried... but maybe I shouldn't have put my paws forbiddenly into the cookie jar two times yesterday... if only I would knew how things are for me in the Golden Book... eh... oops... where was I... yes... the question of all questions... In our case this is of course something completely different... in earlier times we have been laying odds but we don't bet anymore because nobeary is willing to bet for the other option anymore if it comes to this question... the very important question if Sabienchen will finally succeed to make a purchase at the "Erzgebirge"-booth this year!!!

*schmunzel*
But at the moment it looks like she's going to save her money once more... and let's be honest - this close to Christmas nobody needs this type of Christmas decoration anymore. And in the meantime we all are convinced that she will have saved enough money to buy the whole booth at the day the salesbear is going to retire... *LOL* But Sabienchen really intends to buy something... but she's not able to decide. Well, of course it's really not that easy... should one better take such a nice "Schwibbogen" (and if so - which one?) or should one better go for a nativity (and if so - in which style?)? These are for sure very hard decisions... And because the salesbear of the "Erzgebirge"-booth understands this well, he placed once more a stool for his most difficult "customer" in front of his booth. Yes, Service is written with a capital "S" at the BiWuBeary Christmas Market! *smile*

*lach*
But Sabienchen is not the only one struggling with decisions... Rolli too has some problems to decide what kind of yummy treats he should buy. But different from Sabienchen Rolli has the emergency option to take a mixed bag "with everything". *LOL*

Our Mon Chéri had no problems at all with making decisions... this ol' swot *teehee* has indeed already finished his Christmas shopping.

And it's also no problem at all to decide for Teddy's booth if you'd like to treat yourself with some mulled wine... because at Teddy's you can get the best mulled wine - sure, he is using the recipe of his Mother-in-Law. And here is Teddy in bearson! (He and his booth were made by Teddy Hermann - but Birgit made many additions to it. All other salesbears are from Steiff.)

And one of the angels by Goebel has also made a decision - for a gingerbread garland as pretty as yummy.

Lucky is totally thrilled about it... while Azurro is still thinking over which cake should be his choice. Oh, I can really understand him... *giggle* In the meantime Holly has found something at the "Glashütte" she likes...

... and if there's any beary knowing exactly what it wants to do at the BiWuBeary Christmas Market it's of course our Sunny!

Sure... his only wish is dragon riding! The rest of us has almost no chance for a ride... only if Borthud Skullington mentions very diplomatically that maybe every now and them other bearies might like to enjoy this special experience too. But honestly... where else do you have the possibility to ride on a real dragon? *wink* Luckily Tschang is a very patient dragon... And our Herzbube also knows exactly what he wants...

... to have a veeeeery deep look into the eyes of Lavendelinchen. Ah, love must be a nice thing! And of course our Christmas Market is also a place to meet and chat with dear friends... like for example Ruby Fourty and Erdbärchen...

... or Granny Smith (as usual with spiced apple juice!), Rosey and the Gobel-angel always worrying Granny Smith might drink too much...

... oder die fröhliche Runde am Hexenstammtisch.
... or the merry gang at the witch's table.

Btw... did you happen to notice this extremely handsome looking wearer of a scarf? *tweet* Sadly there are also shocking things happening at our Christmas Market - and I really need to point out that this guy is NOT a BiWuBeary!!!

A true case of too much mulled wine... *teehee* Let's cotinue with something nicer now! In this year once more Jolly and another Goebel-angel were in charge to decorate the big Christmas Market Tree.

Both of them are making a very good job... and with a lot of care... As you can see the angel is checking first where the star would look best. The two dragons Polus and Polus really can't get enough of looking at this splendor...

... and for sure you can sum this up to the conclusion that it was once more simply wonderful this year at the BiWuBeary Christmas Market!

We hope you've enjoyed our little tour!

But now it's time to lit the fourth candle at the Advent wreath!

No doubt about it... now Christmas IS very close. And I don't know about you... but at Advent 4th we always have the lovely story about the four candles in mind...

The Four Candles (written by Elsbeth Bihler, told in poor English by us)

Four candles were burning at the advent wreath. All was silent. So silent that you could hear the candles beginning to talk. The first candle sighed and said: "My name is Peace. My light is shining, but the humans don't live in peace, they don't want me." Her light grew smaller until she went out.

The second candle was flickering and said: "My name is Faith. But I am superfluous. People don't want to hear about God anymore. There's no more reason for me to keep on burning." A breeze of air blew across the room and the second candle died.

Silent and very sad the third candle started to speak: "My name is Love. I have no more strength left to burn. People are pushing me aside. They only care for themselves and not about those they should love." And with a last flickering this light also faded.

Then a child entered the room. It was looking at the candles and said: "But you should be burning and not be faded away." And it almost started to cry. Now the fourth candle started to speak. She said: "Don't be afraid. As long as I am burning, we can lit the other candles again. My name is Hope." With a match the child took the light from this candle and lit the other candles again.

We're wishing to all of you a wonderful Advent 4th with a lovely, cozy Adventsundayafternoon-"Kaffeeklatsch" having one, two cups of tasty Adventsundayafternooncoffee and enjoying one, two, three, four pieces of yummy Adventsundayafternooncake. And of course we're also wishing a nice Christmas Countdown to all of you!

Liebe Grüße / Hugs

This year's markets look very well stocked. I wish I was a little bear and and do my shopping there. It was a very interesting tour, also enlightening. Now I know the meaning of the four candles - a lovely story by the way.
I wish all the bearies and their creator a Merry Christmas and Happy New Year!
