3. Advent

Hallo,

*freu*
... and now it's already Advent 3rd... and St. Nicholas Day is once more history again. I hope all of you have found something nice in your bootie - well, at least those of you celebrating it the German way which is putting a boot in front of the door at the evening of Dec. 5th which will be filled by St. Nicholas with nice (and mostly yummy!) goodies. Here at our place St. Nicholas Day means discussions between Birgit and me... about only nice children would receive gifts in their boots. Birgit says the children-thing might be fulfilled somehow because in a way I was her beary child having in mind that she brought me to life with the help of her needle. But boots would already be much more difficult because BiWuBearies would always be bare-footed... I was pointing out that I'm owning slippers once given to me by Ilona which would be perfect for being filled by St. Nick... But then Birgit refers to the point about "being nice"... and then she starts to grin all over her face saying this would settle it all for me then... Honestly... the things I have to bear with until I'm reaching blogbeary retirement! But whoever has friends kindly thinking of you is a lucky chap even with a Birgit around being as nit-picking as mine, I mean, 2 out of 3... that isn't a bad result after all, right??? *grin* Anyhow, Ilona came to my rescue and made sure that I got a gift for St. Nick even without any boots or other conditions. *beams-with-joy*

To be more exact Rosey and I received a gift from Ilona for St. Nicholas Day... in the Netherlands Sinterklaas Day is for sure much more important than here in Germany. And somehow it would not have been necessary to add the beautiful tags with our names on because my package had a strawberry red bow...

... und das von Rosey... naja... was wohl... Ilona denkt eben an alles! *schmunzel*
... and Rosey's... well... guess what... Ilona thinks of everything for sure! *smile*

Natürlich hatten wir unsere Päckchen in Nullkommagarnix geöffnet...
Of course we had opened our packages in the wink of an eye...

What a wonderful surprise - our initials made of chocolate! This is a custom in the Netherlands at St. Nicholas Day... and now I too have my own chocolaty "F" that is even bigger than me...

Also in the name of my little sister... thank you very, very much, dear Ilona!!! Because of you we have enjoyed a wonderful Sinterklaas Day! Nevertheless I should better mention that of course Birgit did not forget us at St. Nicholas Day... *wink* She's always so strict and points out how grown-up and reasonable she is... well... at least when it comes to being grown-up she can set her marks... *teehee* Oops... Birgit is just shouting from the background "Beware the Golden Book!"... *gulp* Eh... maybe I should better get myself some more good points fast... maybe a good way to do so would be to continue with our tour of the BiWuBeary Christmas Market. At Advent 2nd Rosey and I have shown you the glass booth and the Christmas bakery, today we go on with the "Zuckerbäckerei" (= Candy Shop)...

... ohne Zweifel ein absolutes Must-have auf unserem Weihnachtsmarkt!
.... without any doubt a true must-have at our Christmas Market!

Next on our list is the booth "Erzgebirgische Holzkunst" with its beautiful traditonal wooden Christmas decorations. ("Erzgebirge" = Ore Mountains is a region in Germany near Dresden being famous for Christmas decorations made of wood such as "Schwibbögen" or Christmas pyramids and it's a kind of trademark)

*kicher*
And for all our long time readers who may have wondered... of course the salesbear of this booth offers his special service once more this year by placing a stool in front of his booth to make it comfortable for his most faithful but at the same time most difficult customer while looking at the sales offer. Nevertheless... is it even possible to call Sabienchen a customer? I mean... she never buys anything because she's not able decide... *giggle*

And of course HE is also here with this booth in this year - our friend Teddy, his booth being the origin of our Christmas Market (Teddy and booth by Teddy Herrmann... with a few additions by Birgit)

It is a well-known fact that Teddy's booth offers the best mulled wine ever... that's because he brews it following the recipe of his Mother-in-law! *LOL* Well, and it's also well-known that there is no rose without thorns... so he is also here again...

*grins*
As in every year we really need to point out that this nasty guy is NO BiWuBeary!!! *grin*

Speaking about BiWuBearies... of course our Christmas Market is somehow special because it's the BiWuBeary Christmas Market. But it is also special because of an attraction no other Christmas Market offers... or do you know a Christmas Market where you'd be able to ride on a real dragon and buy hot dragon blood from real witches and wizards? *teehee* Yes, or Witch Tower Crew is always around at our Christmas Market with their sales cart and at least the items that are allowed for non-magical bearies are very popular around here. Luckily hot dragon blood does not have the tiniest drop of real dragon blood included... and all the treats are guaranteed to be free of toad slime and spider legs...

But there's still our new guest for the Christmas Market waiting... I still need to show you how Birgit has decorated it. Simple Answer: With loads of handmade Christmas decoration! *LOL* See... Birgit has made these booths some years ago... and in the meantime Birgit has learnt one or two things and tried this and that... So this is what she has done for the new cart - Christmas ornaments...

... jede Menge Deko...
... plenty of decoration...

... und kleine Tannenbäume.
... and tiny Christmas trees.

And of course one of Birgit's little house scenes needed to be included...

Alles zusammen sieht dann so aus:
And in the end it looks like this:

And that's all for today... Rosey and I will (surprise!) celebrate Advent 3rd together at Christmas Cottage now - of course with a nice and cozy Adventsundayafternoon-"Kaffeeklatsch". After this we will visit the BiWuBeary Christmas Market for sure... and will have loads of fun together with all our friends.

And now we have lit the 3rd candle of the Advent wreath and we're wishing to all of you a lovely Advent 3rd - and loads of fun with a nice and cozy Adventsundayafternoon-"Kaffeeklatsch" having one, two cups of tasty Adventsundayafternooncoffee and enjoying one, two, three, four pieces of yummy Adventsundayafternooncake.!!! And remember - the 3rd Sunday of Advent time is called Gaudete... which means joy... so enjoy this wonderful time of the year! ;O)

Liebe Grüße / Hugs

So many beautiful things to drool after - again ;)
Takes eternity to look through all the pictures and always you miss something with the first glance, so you have to go through them time and time again, so that you wouldn't miss any lovely details..
Would Fluby and Rosey need a roomer..?? Sure would LOVE to live in their world so I could enjoy your goodies every day and all the time (^^)
I would love to make my Christmas shopping in the BiWuBeary Christmas Market. I would have the best Christmas ever!
I think that the Witch Tower Crew's sales cart is the best (**)
And absolutely adore those little Golden bear ornaments - so cute!

Jaaaaa, wieder zu spät, tschuldigung ;)!! This time there was a good reason: my youngest celebrated his birthday, so I'm sure Birgit and you, Fluby und Rosey, will forgive me ;)???
I'm always in awe for Birgits inventions when it comes to making new Christmas decorations, or in this case, even a brandnew cart. This new cart has become wonderfull, look at those tiny cute rendeers, antlers and so on, and everything is so well made! Every year it's a feast for the eyes to see your Christmas market with all of the stalls, well filled with so many wonderful or yummy Christmas goodies, Fluby! The fact that every year your cottage get changed by Birgit into a Christmas cottage is so sweet, she loves you (and Rosey) very much. Yes, I know that she can be grumpy now and then, but sometimes you have deserved it, naughty Fluby ;). So, what do you think: will you have earned enough good points in the book of Santa? I hope so!!
I'm very happy that you were so clever to think of your slippers, for getting something in your boot from Sinterklaas, hehehe, great and clever find!! I hope it tasted well, because I'm sure that by now the chocolate letters are vanished like snow for the sun, hehehe ;)! I hope you enjoyed it, dear bearie friends.
Wishing you all a lovely Advent time ;)!
Liebe Grüsse, Schepje (who has got his own bombardement of chocolate, we will show it later on our blog ;)!) und Ilona

Liebe Grüsse auch an Rosey und Birgit,
Dein Fudge
