Osterkaffeeklatsch

Hallo,

… I suppose you're not very surprised to find an Easter "Kaffeeklatsch" post from us today. But if you'd have a closer look to all of those greeting out of the egg it might happen that there will show up some surprise still...

Yes, "BiWuBären on the Blog" makes it happen... here at our place the Easter Bunny is dropping by in person for an Easter "Kaffeeklatsch". *smile* But we're going to tell the story how this was made possible at the end of this post… Before this we would like to show what Birgit had crafted during the last days. Do you still remember... her good resolution for the makeover of the Beary House?! I may quote from our post of March 16th: "And Birgit made another decision - her intention is to do the makeover with material that is already at hand and hopefully not to buy new stuff". Well, this already worked really well with the new chairs... *grin* But somehow those chairs are responsible that Birgit threw her good resolution once more overboard and bought a very special kit.

Was sonst?
See, my Birgit decided to put the dining table into the living room - with this the space of this big room will be used better and the small room next to the kitchen will be free. And what should one do with a free room if this someone is Birgit who doesn't care at all about realistic, reasonable room use in a house project with for example no bathroom nor a bedroom? Sure - installing a craft room. What else? *broadgrin* Birgit had this idea for some time... she said it might be fun to arrange some miniature houses in there. But this vague idea did not become concrete until Birgit happened to find a kit for a working desk made by Ketty Pierro. And what am I supposed to tell you - it was love at first sight. Birgit wanted this desk and no other for the craft room of the Beary House! And she wasn't afraid of all the parts that were waiting to be assembled... but Rosey and I were in fact amazed how much parts were already needed just to assemble one of the containers with drawers.

And these are not all the needed parts yet... but the instruction was well explained and the parts well made so the start with the first container was speedily made...

... and step by step it went on...

For the left side of the kit a chalkboard is included. Birgit made a small variation for this and searched for a nice chalkboard motif in the internet.

"Coffee is always a good idea"... stimmt... obwohl wir hier bis heute nicht verstehen, warum es uns nicht möglich war, den Spruch in einer richtigen Version zu finden. Ich meine, es muss ja eigentlich "Kaffeeklatsch" is always a good idea" heißen, oder???
"Coffee is always a good idea"... so true... nevertheless around here we still can't understand why we did not manage to find the saying in the correct version. See, it is in fact meant to be "A Kaffeeklatsch is always a good idea", isn't it??? *LOL* Well, but this one is also quite nice. At the other side a small shelf was planned but Birgit decided not to use it. Her intention is to have a full view to the back wall and according to her that small shelf would also be good as for example a spice rack some day. So Birgit covered the other side wall with just a nice picture matching the maritime theme of the house.

Zum Schluß noch das Dach drauf...
Finally the roof was attached...

... but before doing this a little electrical gadget was added still.

Crafters always need good lighting! *smile*And the first decoration appearing as a flying fish is also already in place... but of course this wasn't enough... so Birgit started to rifle her Someday-for-Something-Boxes and began to work a bit on this and a bit on that:

But we need to show these miniatures a little closer:

Birgit has made them because she has and uses these in real size.

This is really the original saucer Birgit uses since many years to spread her paint on... now finally available in a miniature version… *grin* And even the wood stirrers or wooden sticks Birgit often uses to stir her paint or to attach structure paint were added as miniature versions… next to some other things like scissors and - what else to expect - a current craft project. And after exchanging the silver coffee mug with a smaller one in white and spreading all of this at the work desk it is looking like this:

*breitgrins*
Someday Birgit plans to add a jar filled with pens and brushes but for the moment she declared the work desk project to be finished. And what is one supposed to do after finishing a project? Sure, starting a new one… but only after having a look into the garden first. In other words: A heartfelt welcome to volume 93906 of our series "And once more many pictures of BiWuBearies in the garden!" *broadgrin*

After Rosey and I checked bearsonally that spring has finally arrived at our garden we went into our own gardens afterwards. And what am I supposed to tell you… we happened to catch a secret visitor in the act! First he was at Rosey's in Flower Cottage...

und danach in Strawberry Cottage!
… and afterwards in Strawberry Cottage!

And now you know how it could happen that the Easter Bunny took part in our photo shooting for our Easter post in person. As a "thank you" we have invited him to a little snack because a spontaneous Easter "Kaffeeklatsch" can never be wrong.

And just among us - I truly like the Easter Bunny! He doesn't threat anyone with reports in the Golden Book, brings tasty chocolate and best of all - he prefers carrots more than strawberry cake!!! I really can't understand how anyone could ever choose carrots instead of sweet, red, juicy, aromatic strawberries but hey... this way there's more left for me! *beams-with-joy* But sad somehow that I had to keep my loyal dog Wuff in the house - he resisted to understand that hunting the Easter Bunny is even more forbidden than hunting common bunnies. *sigh* Anyhow, we're wishing to you lovely days of Easter and later on much fun while enjoying a nice and cozy Easterafternoon-"Kaffeeklatsch" with one, two cups of tasty Easterafternooncoffee and one, two, three, four pieces of yummy Easterafternooncake.

Vielen Dank! Und an Euch alle: Frohe Ostern!
Btw this cute card was an Easter greeting from our Fudge who now lives in Riverside... and of course from Nina too. Thank you so much! And to all of you: Happy Easter!

Hallo liebe Freunde!! Zum ersten: Fröhlich Ostern für Ihr Allen!
Wow, Fluby, your Birgit has outdone herself once more with this project for the new mini craftroom. And if only because it's blue (my favorite color ;O) ) and it's absolutely beautiful!! I'm also loving maritime subjects, so this we also have in common ;).
I admire her patience for also making all of her utensils, she uses for making mini's, in miniature, very clever and so very well done.
The 'fish' light is such a great addition, as are the images at the sides of the cabinet.
I'm glad to see that the Easter bunny also got time to visit your homes too for Easter eggs AND a Kaffeeklatsch, which exists for him of carrots, great picture ;O).
It was a pity that my grandson is still too young for a good bite in that big chocolate Golden Bunny you sent us, otherwise I surely had send you a picture of him at that moment ;).
Thank you for sharing these wonderful pictures of your gorgeous garden, Fluby and Rosey: thank you for the tour, you've done a good job :)!!
Enjoy your Kaffeeklatsch and one, two, three, four pieces of Easter afternooncake! Don't forget your silent reader ;)!
Liebe Grüsse, Schepje, Little Me und Ilona

Ulrike

Oh my goodness the craft desk project is such a delight to look upon because there is just so much to see! I love the blue and white color scheme which had to take some serious planning and makes each drawer pop against the white! The craft supplies are marvelous, as is the tiny room box being constructed! What a neat project and though I am sure a complicated one, you have made something special that you should be extremely proud to display!
The spring gardens in the cottages look so happy and alive, and all of the treats on the table are making my mouth water! Lucky Bears!
I hope you have had the nicest Easter ever, and hope you find time for more creative projects!

Dear Fluby and Rosey and Birgit and Mr. Easter Bunny too, it is great to see you having such a Wonderful Spring Visit together!!! The gorgeous garden pictures make me happy... our gardens are still at the Crocus stage.... but any day now the daffodils will open too! I am so glad to see the Easter Bunny got some reward after all the hard work of hopping like mad all over the World! Whew! What a job! And as for the stunning new project Birgit has just "whipped up" I am clearly able to see why she had to throw out her good intentions and get a new kit! LOL! It is such a great kit! And Birgit has done such an amazing job on all the drawers and cubbies... not to mention all the items to put in it!!! I was "oohing" and "aaahing" at each new picture... and the tiny room being built with the tiny settee..... AAAhhh! It is perfect! And makes me want to rush right out and start an new mini mini project.....!!!! But wait... first I need to finish the one I am working on..... (this is so hard for me)... but I will do it! And meanwhile I hope you had plenty of Easter Chocolate to go with your Kaffeeklatchcakes!!! Happy Easter to all of you!!! :):):)

Wow, Flutterby!
So much to show. I adore the craft desk. I wish I had one like this in real size. The craft supplies, the project at work on the desk, along with the tiny furniture are simply stunning. Fantastic details.
Once more, you and Rosey among the blooming spring garden steal the show. Mr. Bunny is too cute for words. It's very nice of you to befriend him right away. Looks like together all three enjoyed a lovely Easter afternoon "Kaffeeklatsch".
My love to you and Rosey, and of course to Birgit and her "Silent Reader".

WOW!!! :)
Un abrazo!!

The craft desk is wonderful, with many accessories and the colors blue and white is perfect.
The secret visitor at Rosey's in Flower Cottage is a beautiful Easter bunny with a surprise, a basket of eggs! He is so happy with the invitation!
Birgit spring garden is fantastic!

I hope you all had a happy Easter time and for what I see in this post, you did! First of all, I love that Spring has arrived at Birgit's garden as I love all your photo sessions and the beautiful display of so many wonders. Birgit's garden is a paradise!! I also love the desk kit. I totally understand Birgit, she has to have that fantastic desk, great purchase. And of course, Birgit took it to the next level and elevated that fantastic desk into something just wonderful. She makes look easy to accessorise a piece of furniture, for me the most difficult part. Birgit did a great job and that desk is now divine!! Who wants a bathroom or a bedroom when you can have a craft room? Silly question!! No brainer:)
And at last we are not very familiar with the Easter bunny in this part of the world but I am happy for his visit to you and I enjoyed it a lot.
Big hugs to all of you xxx
