Kaffeeklatsch (Nr. 164)

Hallo,

 

und weiter geht's mit unserem Erinnerungs-Kaffeeklatsch an die drei zuletzt ausgewanderten BiWuBärchen. Obwohl er der Letzte war, der uns verlassen hat, ist heute erst mal Copper an der Reihe mit seinem eigenen Auftritt in der Kaffeeklatschtasse - aber das hat einen bestimmten Grund, zu dem wir gleich kommen.

... today we continue with our Remember-me-"Kaffeeklatsch" presenting the three BiWuBearies who left us recently. Although he was the last who left us it's Copper's turn today hosting his own "Kaffeeklatsch" - there's a special reason for this which we are going to tell you right now.

      

         

Copper lebt inzwischen in den Niederlanden bei unseren lieben Freunden Margriet und E-beertje - und da war uns schon vorher klar, dass er sich dort absolut wohl fühlen wird. Mit E-beertje hat sich Copper auch auf Anhieb verstanden - wenn Ihr mal schauen wollt, wie die beiden sich kennen gelernt haben, dann klickt einfach mal hier. Es lohnt sich, vor allem wenn E-beertje zu der Erkenntnis gelangt, dass es praktisch ist, einen großen Freund zu haben. *lach* Aber nun zu dem Grund, warum Copper ausgerechnet heute seinen Auftritt haben musste - unsere liebe Margriet hatte nämlich gerade Geburststag und das nehmen wir zum Anlass, um auch von dieser Stelle aus ganz herzlich zu gratulieren.

Copper lives now in the Netherlands with our dear friends Margriet and E-beertje - so we knew before he would feel at home there at once. Copper and E-beertje became friends at first sight - if you'd like to have a look how the two met each other, than you should click here. It's worth while, especially when E-beertje comes to the conclusion that it's quite handy to have a big friend around. *LOL* But now to the reason why it had to be Copper's turn today - our dear Margriet celebrated her birthday recently and we're taking this opportunity to say our congratulations also from this place.

 

Happy Birthday and best wishes to you, dear M-tje! And always a good sense of humour with E-beertje, Copper and all the little ones in the house... *teehee*

 

Wie nicht anders zu erwarten ging ein Kaffeetassen-Fotoshooting mit Copper nicht ohne Blödsinn ab...

Guess what - having a photoshooting with Copper in a coffee wasn't possible without a little fooling around...

Aber natürlich war ich trotz allem traurig, als Copper abreisen musste - so ein Abschied ist halt immer nicht einfach. Aber da hat er mich geknufft und meinte, er hätte da ein gutes Mittel, um mich aufzuheitern.

But of course I've been sad after all when Copper had to leave - saying goodbye is never easy. But he gave me a friendly punch and said he would knew a very good way to cheer me up.

        

          

Na... ich weiß nicht... ob das  hilft??? Aber eines weiß ich - ICH habe absolut kein Hutgesicht! *grins*

My... I'm not sure if this is really helpful??? But one thing I know for sure - I have definitely no hatface! *grin*

Wie gesagt, wir wissen genau, dass es Copper richtig gut getroffen hat in seinem neuen Zuhause. Ob er allerdings dort heute einen Sonntagsnachmittagskaffeeklatsch haben wird, wissen wir natürlich nicht genau. Aber wir würden es mal vermuten - denn wie könnte man einen Sonntagnachmittag wohl schöner verbringen? Und genau deshalb wünsche ich Euch nachher viel Spaß bei einem schönen, gemütlichen Sonntagsnachmittagskaffeeklatsch mit ein, zwei Tässchen leckerem Sonntagsnachmittagskaffee und ein, zwei, drei, vier Stückchen oberleckerem Sonntagsnachmittagskuchen. Und eine schöne Woche - die wünsche ich Euch wie immer natürlich auch! Und einen ganz besonderen Wunsch muss ich auch noch loswerden - an Birgits Tante, die heute Geburstag hat: Alles Liebe vom Flatterbärchen! ;O)

As I've said, we know for sure that Copper has found a wonderful new home. But what we don't know is if he's going to have a Sundayafternoon-"Kaffeeklatsch" in his new home today. But we would guess so - because could there a better way to spend a Sundayafternoon? So I'm wishing you loads of fun later on having a nice, cozy Sundayafternoon-"Kaffeeklatsch" with one, two cups of tasty Sundayafternooncoffee and enjoying one, two, three, four pieces of yummy Sundayafternooncake. And of course I'm wishing to all of you a great week on top! But I have another wish to say - to Birgit's aunt who is celebrating her Birthday today: Best wishes from the flutterybeary! ;O)

In der Hexenküche - Teil 1

Hallo,

 

da bei uns die Hitzewelle inzwischen vorbei ist (worüber wir gar nicht traurig sind), hat Birgit so langsam wieder die Arbeit am Hexenturm aufgenommen. Wobei ich schon gestaunt habe, dass das alles so lange dauert - schließlich ist Einrichten und Dekorieren ja eigentlich das, was ihr besonders Spaß macht. Aber Birgit meinte, man müsse halt vorher gut überlegen, wie alles am Besten zusammen passt... Nun, ich denke, das ist nur eine nette Umschreibung für "Ich habe so viel Kram, dass ich erst mal schauen muss, was ich davon gebrauchen kann..." *kicher*

...now that the heatwave is over around here (which we don't regret at all) Birgit finally was able to continue work on the witch tower. It was in a way surprising to me that this took her so long - usually decorating the interior it the part she likes the most. But Birgit said it would need some thinking about how everything should turn out in the end... Well, in my opinion this is a nice way to say in other words "I'm having so much stuff that I need to have a close look what might be of use for me..." *giggle*

 

Aber irgendwann hatte Birgit dann eine genaue Vorstellung, was sie wollte und hat losgelegt. Als Erstes kam die letzte Deko für die Spüle - Birgit hat sich nämlich nun doch dafür entschieden, den Reagenzglasständer und die Flaschen für die Extra-Dosis Glück dort unterzubringen. Ich bin übrigens immer noch nicht dafür verantwortlich, dass hier das Glück einfach so davon rinnt... ehrlich! Ich hab' das nicht umgestoßen!!! Ich bin das unschuldigste Flatterbärchen auf der ganzen weiten Welt!

But sometime Birgit was through with making plans, she knew what she wanted and was able to start. At first she added the last decoration to the sink - Birgit finally decided the test tube rack and the jars with the extra portion of "Good luck" should be placed there. Btw - I'm still not responsible for spilling the luck - believe me! I didn't drop that jar!!! I'm the most innocent flutterybeary in the whole wide world!

Auch den Herd hat Birgit inzwischen so gut wie fertig - es fehlt nur noch die Feuerstelle.

Auch die beiden großen Glasflaschen, die Melli uns geschenkt hat, wurden inzwischen gefüllt und dekoriert.

Sehr viel Spaß hatte Birgit auch beim Dekorieren des Küchenschrankes.

Was aber weniger daran liegt, dass ich Angst vor der Totenkopfdose hätte, sondern weil ich bei Keksen vom Hexenturm generell seeeeeehr zurückhaltend bin... *flööööööt*
Well, if this isn't Witchy Chic then I don't know what would be! *LOL* And honestly speaking... *whisper* From this skull cookie jar even I wouldn't think of stealing cookies. But not because I'm afraid of a skull jar but when it comes to cookies from the witch tower I'm generally veeeeeeery cautious... *tweeeeeet*

Kaffeeklatsch (Nr. 163)

Hallo,

 

nach unserer tollen Reihe "Kaffeeklatsch Extra" und dem Start unseres Giveaways letzte Woche (falls Ihr Euch noch nicht eingetragen haben solltet - hier ist der Link) geht nun aber beim Kaffeeklatsch alles wieder seinen normalen, gewohnten Gang... sollte man meinen! *lach* Nun, während der "Kaffeeklatsch Extra"-Serie haben sich drei BiWuBärchen aufgemacht in ein neues Zuhause. Und natürlich habe ich denen vor ihrer Abreise fest versprechen müssen, dass auch sie ihren Auftritt in der Kaffeeklatschtasse haben werden. Na, und so ein Versprechen muss man ja nun in jedem Fall halten... Ehrensache. Und weil ich ja bekanntermaßen ein Gentlebär bin, fangen wir heute mit Violetta an - Ladies first eben!

 ... after our exciting series "Kaffeeklatsch Extra" and the start of our giveaway last week (in case you might not yet have signed in - here is the link) we're now going to celebrate a good ol' "Kaffeeklatsch"... at least that's what one might think! *LOL* Well, during our "Kaffeeklatsch Extra"-series three BiWuBearies have traveled to new homes. And before their departure I had to promise them of course they would also have their showtime in the "Kaffeeklatsch"-mug. And you know I'm a trustworthy bearson keeping my promises. Being the gentlebear that I am we're starting with Violetta today - you know: Ladies first!
       

       

Violetta lebt ja inzwischen zusammen mit unserem Toffee und ganz vielen anderen Bärchen bei der lieben Gaby - und da grüßen wir mal ganz herzlich hin! Und zeitgleich mit Violetta ist auch eines von Mellis Minipippibärchen bei Gaby eingezogen, die kleine Emmy. Die beiden Mädels haben sich von Anfang an richtig gut verstanden und sind nun die besten Freundinnen - wie man auf den Bildern sehen kann, die Gaby uns netterweise geschickt hat. Da haben sich zwei gesucht und gefunden... nur Toffee - der fühlt sich wohl manchmal wie das dritte Rad am Wagen - aber der hat ja seine Schachtel Toffifee zum Trost. *schmunzel*
In the meantime Violetta lives together with our Toffee and many other bearies at Gaby's home - and we're waving heavily our greetings to you! At the same time when Violetta arrived also one of Melli's Mini-"Pippibären" moved in, little Emmy. The two girlies became friends at first sight - as you can see at the pictures Gaby kindly sent us. Looks like search and found... only Toffee might feel a little alone still every now and then... but he's lucky to have his own box of Toffifee as a comfort. *smile*

       

       

Und wie Ihr auf dem nächsten Bild sehen könnt, konnte sich Violetta auch in anderer Hinsicht wie zu Hause fühlen... seht Ihr das Miniaturhaus im Hintergrund? Auch wenn Violetta eher an Hexentürme und Drachenfelsen gewöhnt ist, aber das gefällt ihr bestimmt... ;O)

As you can see on the next picture there's another reason why Violetta was able to feel at home at once at Gaby's... do you see the miniature house in the background? Although Violetta might be more familiar with witch towers and dragon rocks I'm quite sure she will like this one, too... ;O)

Überraschungen

Hallo,

 

nun wird es aber allerhöchste Zeit, dass ich Euch das wunderbare Ü zeige, das wir kürzlich von einer ganz besonderen Bloggerin bekommen haben. Weit gereist aus Israel war dieses Päckchen - und damit ist auch schon vollkommen klar, wer da so lieb an uns gedacht hat und uns eine Freude machen wollte: Drora! Wer Drora kennt, wird mir zustimmen - es sind Leute wie sie, die Blogland zu einem besonderen Ort machen!

... now it's really time for me to show you the spectacular surprise we recently received from a very special blogger. From far away Israel that packet came to us - and now it's pretty clear who has been the one thinking so kindly of us and intending to send us loads of joy: Drora! Who knows Drora will agree with me - it's people like her that make blogland a special place!

 

Tja, ich war so gespannt, was in dem Päckchen sein würde, dass ich so schnell ausgepackt habe, dass die Kamera da nicht mithalten konnte. *lach* Seht mal, all diese Schätze hat Drora uns geschickt... fast alles selbst gemacht und mit ganz viel Bedacht ausgewählt.

Well, I was so thrilled what might be in that packet that I opened it so fast that the camera had no other choice but to surrender. *LOL* Have a look at all the treasures Drora has sent us... almost everything made by her and wisely chosen.

            

              

Und deshalb war es bei den meisten schönen Dingen überhaupt keine Frage, für wen sie bestimmt waren. Magica und Mysteria de Spell waren jedenfalls total aus dem Häuschen über all die schönen Zaubertrankfläschchen, die tollen Totenkopfanhänger und die niedlichen, winzigen Dinosaurier.

So with most of the pieces it was no question at all to whom they were dedicated. Magica and Mysteria de Spell were over the moon with those beautiful potion bottles, those fantastic skull beads and those cute, tiny dinosaurs.

           

              

Ja, genau, die Dinos kommen in den Hexenturm... aber natürlich erst nach einer kleinen Begegnung mit Birgit und ihren Pinseln. Und auch Rosey hat sich sofort ihren Anteil gesichert, schließlich wird sie demnächst auch ihr eigenes Häuschen bekommen, wenn Birgit irgendwann einmal den Hexenturm fertig hat.

Yes, for sure, the dinos will come into the witch tower... of course after meeting Birgit and her brushes first. But Rosey also made sure she'd get her share, she's going to get her own house soon, that is whenever Birgit has finished the new witch tower.

              

          

Rosey soll auch das vielleicht beeindruckendste Stück bekommen - die Collage mit den Muscheln. Aber nicht irgendwelche Muscheln - die hat Drora nämlich am See Genezareth gesammelt!

Rosey shall get the perhaps most breathtaking piece - the collage with the shells. But these aren't just shells - Drora collected them at the Sea of Galilee!

           

          

 Ist das nicht toll? Den See kennen wir alle aus der Bibel und nun haben wir Muscheln von diesem besonderen Ort. Zu schade, dass die Collage farblich nicht recht in mein Cottage passt - aber ich gönne Rosey das schöne Bild von Herzen für ihr zukünftiges Haus, außerdem bin ich selbst natürlich auch nicht leer ausgegangen. 

Isn't that great? We all know that lake from the bible and now we have shells from that special place in our home. Kind of sad that the collage's colour doesn't match with my Cottage's interior - but of course I'm feeling happy for Rosey that she will have this fantastic picture for her new home... and of course Drora didn't forget about me.

        

             

Es konnte ja wohl keinen Zweifel geben, für wen diese Tasse (!) mit Erdbeer(!)pflanzen gedacht war, oder? Und wie Drora uns schrieb, war auch die Vogelscheuche für meinen Garten bestimmt. Wie toll ist das denn? Na, ich hab' meine Schätze gleich an Ort und Stelle gebracht. Barry hat mir geholfen, das richtige Plätzchen für die Erdbeertasse zu finden.

No question at all to whom this cup (!) with strawberry(!)plants was dedicated to, huh? And as Drora has written the scarecrow was also meant for my garden. How great is that? Well, I took my treasures in my garden at once. Barry kindly helped me to find the perfect place for the strawberry cup.
           

          

Und auch die Vogelscheuche hat ihren Platz gefunden.

Zusammen mit dem Schild "Pfoten weg" dürfte ja wohl nun endgültig klar sein, dass an meinen Erdbeeren niemand außer mir etwas zu suchen hat, oder? Ach ja... süße, rote, saftige, aromatische Erdbeeren... *seufz* zu schade, dass die Erdbeerzeit jetzt langsam zu Ende geht, aber wenigstens habe ich meine eigene Notversorgung in meinem Garten und die nun auch besonders gut abgesichert... äh... ach so... ooops... ich war ja noch gar nicht fertig mit Droras Geschenken! *rotwerd* 

Together with the sign saying "Pfoten weg" (= Paws away or Keep off your paws!) it should be absolutely clear now that nobody else than me has to do any business with those strawberries of mine, shouldn't it? Oh my... sweet, red, juicy, aromatic strawberries... *sigh* too sad the strawberry season ends now but I'm glad to have my own supply in my garden and having it even better guarded by now... eh... oh... ooops... I still wasn't done yet with Drora's gifts! *blush*
          

          

Birgit sagt, sie ist total begeistert von dieser Strelitzie - Droras handgemachte Blumen sind wirklich beeindruckend. Und der Tortenständer ist auch ganz toll gemacht... Wohin diese beiden Miniaturen kommen, ist noch nicht ganz entschieden, aber eines steht fest, sie werden ein würdiges Plätzchen bekommen! Aber da war ja noch die wunderschöne Schachtel mit den aufgeklebten Muscheln... und da fingen die Probleme an, denn irgendwie wollte die jeder von uns haben und wir fanden alle, dass dieses außergewöhnliche Stück sich bei uns ganz besonders außergewöhnlich gut machen würde. Rosey hat dann vorgeschlagen, wir könnten das ja ausknobeln... aber ganz ehrlich... das habe ich sofort abgeblockt. Der Vorschlag brachte nämlich Magica und Mysteria sofort dermaßen breit zum Grinsen... und ich hatte so eine starke Ahnung, dass die beiden schon vorher gewusst hätten, wie die Würfel fallen würden. *räusper*

Birgit says she's fascinated by this strelitzia - Drora's handcrafted flowers are indeed impressive! And this cake stand is also so well made... It's not yet decided where these two miniatures will find their place but one thing is for sure - it will be a place of honor! But there was still this beautiful box with the shell decoration... and then the trouble began because everyone wanted to have it and we all were convinced that this extraordinary piece would fit perfect in our home. Rosey suggested we could throw the dice... but my... I disagreed on that at once. This suggestion brought immediately a broad grin on the faces of Magica and Mysteria... and I had a strong feeling about those two knowing exactly how the dice would fall. *clearshisthroat*
      

             

Birgit hat dann gesagt, in dieser Angelegenheit hat sie das letzte Wort und sie wird entscheiden, wo die Box am Besten reinpassen wird. Aber da gab es ja noch einen Kandidaten, dessen Besitzrechte noch nicht geklärt waren... *höhö*
But then Birgit told us she would have the last word about this decision where the box will find its place. But there was still another someone without an owner... *teehee*

          

         

Aber was den leckeren Kuchen angeht, da waren wir uns alle sofort einig... der wird geviertelt! Jawoll! Also, mein Viertel war echt lecker... *grins*
But as far as this tasty cake was concerned we found a compromise we all could agree at once... we cut it in four parts! Yessssss! Well, my quarter was soooo yummy... *grin*

Dear Drora - once more: Thank you from the bottom of our hearts for your lovely and generous gifts that included not only fantastic miniatures but also a good amount of friendship and brought us loads of joy and happiness!

 

Aber es gab diese Woche noch mehr Überraschungen für uns - und auch, wenn diese nicht für uns sondern für Birgits Mama zum Geburtstag bestimmt war, wollen wir Euch diesen kleinen Kerl hier natürlich nicht vorenthalten.
But this week held yet another suprise for us in store - although this time not for us but for Birgit's Mom as a birthday present but of course we want to present this little guy here, too.

          

        

Flakes heißt der kleine Schnuckel - und wenn er groß ist, möchte er mal ein richtiger Schneemann werden. Mit unserem Freezy hat er sich sofort verstanden, die beiden sind inzwischen schon richtig unzertrennlich.
Flakes is the name of that little cutie - and once he's grown up he wants to become a real snowman. He and Freezy became friends at once, they are inseparable friends in the meantime.

 

Flakes stammt natürlich aus den begabten Händen von unserer lieben Freundin Melli, die Birgit meistens nur Nachteule nennt. Und weil wir Mellis Alter Ego bei uns im Haus haben (natürlich ebenfalls von Melli gezaubert), hat die kleine gefilzte Nachteule dann die Danke-Umarmungen anstelle der großen Nachteule abbekommen!
Of course Flakes was made by our dear friend Melli and her talented hands. Birgit normally calls her nightowl and because we're having Melli's Alter Ego at home (of course made by her) the little felted nightowl received the Thank-you-hugs that were dedicated to the big nightowl!

         

           

Liebe Nachteule, auch von dieser Stelle aus noch einmal allerherzlichsten Dank für Flakes und die Sturzbäche an Augenschweiß, die er der stillen Blogleserin beschert hat! Wir sind so froh, dass es Dich gibt!

 

So viele wunderbare Geschenke... wisst Ihr, was mir da wieder mal in den Sinn gekommen ist? Ganz ehrlich... ich bin das glücklichste Flatterbärchen auf der ganzen weiten Welt mit den tollsten Freunden weit und breit! ;O)

Ein besonderer Gruß

Hallo,

 

heute bin ich in ganz besonderer Mission unterwegs... denn ich möchte Glückwünsche überbringen an einen ganz besonderen Menschen, der heute Geburtstag hat: Meine Oma! *lach* Also, im normalen Leben kennt man sie allerdings eher als Birgits Mama und auch als stille Blogleserin.

... today I'm on a beary special mission... because I have to say congratulations to a very special person who celebrates her birthday today: My Granny! *LOL* Okay, in real life she's better known as Birgit's Mum and also as our silent blog reader.

          

          

Einige von Euch erinnern sich vielleicht noch - Birgits Mama hat eine Vorliebe für Schneemänner bzw. Snow Ladies und deshalb hat Birgit auch diesmal einen neuen Schneemann zum Leben erweckt. Hier ist er schon!

Some of you may remember - Birgit's Mom loves snowmen and snow ladies that's why Birgit made a new snowman for her. And here he is!

           

             

Freezy heißt der kleine Kerl, und er hat sich extra schick gemacht mit Zylinder und trägt ganz stolz einen der drei wunderschönen Schals, die Ilona netterweise für uns gestrickt hat.

Freezy is the name of that little guy and his dress code is exquisite with a top hat and he's proudly wearing one of the three beautiful scarves Ilona kindly knitted for us.

Kaffeeklatsch (Nr. 162)

Hallo,

 

herzlich Willkommen zum ersten Kaffeeklatsch im August. Wie ich ja schon letzte Woche erzählt habe, ist unsere Aktion "Kaffeeklatsch Spezial" mit Bildern ausgewanderter BiWuBärchen erst einmal vorbei. Was ich Euch aber letzte Woche mit voller Absicht nicht erzählt habe ist, dass es heute trotzdem noch einen ganz besonderen Kaffeeklatsch geben wird...  Naja, lässt sich ja auch irgendwie vermuten, wenn das Blogbärchen bärsönlich aus der Kaffeeklatschtasse grüßt, oder? *zwinker*

... and a heartwarm Welcome to our first "Kaffeeklatsch" in August. As I've already told you last week our series of "Kaffeeklatsch Extra" showing pictures of BiWuBearies who found new homes is over. But what I didn't tell you is that today we're going to celebrate another very special "Kaffeeklatsch"... But in a way you would expect something special if the blogbeary bearsonally greets from the "Kaffeeklatsch"-mug, wouldn't you? *wink*

            

          

Ja, heute haben wir mal einen ganz besonderen Kaffeeklatsch... denn heute geht es nicht um BiWuBärchen, die aus ihrem neuen Zuhause grüßen, sondern um ein BiWuBärchen, das ein neues Zuhause sucht - und zwar bei einem von Euch! Vorausgesetzt, Ihr könnt Euch vorstellen, dem kleinen Kerl ein Zuhause zu geben. Ja, genau - es ist allerhöchste Zeit für ein neues Giveaway bei "BiWuBären on the Blog". Also, ICH würde echt gerne gewinnen... aber Birgit hat mir schon unmissverständlich mitgeteilt, dass ich als Blogbärchen von der Teilnahme ausgeschlossen bin... *seufz* Dabei hätte - wir Ihr jetzt sehen werdet - Barry wirklich so gut zu mir gepasst...

Yes, today we're having a very special "Kaffeeklatsch"... today we won't show BiWuBearies greeting from new homes but a BiWuBeary that is looking for a new home - maybe yours! That is, if you could imagine giving that little chap a new home. Yes, indeed - it's about time for a new giveaway at "BiWuBären on the Blog". My, I MYSELF would really like to win... but Birgit told me unmistakably that I being the blogbeary wouldn't be allowed to participate... *sigh* So sad - as you will see now - Barry would have matched perfectly with me...

         

         

Flutterby: Hi Barry, da bist Du ja... komm, sei nicht so schüchtern! Wenn Du ein neues Zuhause finden willst, musst Du Dich schon mal ganz zeigen!

Barry: Ja, da hast Du wohl recht... aber das ist alles noch so neu für mich... Ich war doch noch nie auf einem Blog...

Flutterby: Keine Bange, das tut überhaupt nicht weh... also fang an - oder soll ich Dich vorstellen?

Barry: Ja, ich glaube, das wäre besser!

Flutterby: Okay... gerne. Also, meine Lieben - ich darf Euch heute das neueste Mitglied unserer BiWuBärentruppe vorstellen: S. T. Rawbarry, aber wir nennen ihn alle nur Barry... sag mal, wofür stehen eigentlich das S und das T?

Barry: Für meine Vornamen... aber die sind mein Geheimnis. Ich mag Barry viel, viel lieber!

Flutterby: Hi Barry, come on... don't be so shy! If you're looking for a new home then you should better show yourself!

Barry: I agree... but all of this is so new and thrilling to me... I've never been on a blog before...

Flutterby: Don't worry, you won't get hurt. So please begin - or shall I introduce you?

Barry: Oh yes, I think that would be better!

Flutterby: Okay, you're welcome. So, my dearies - I'd like to introduce you to the newest member of our BiWuBeary gang: S. T. Rawbarry, but we simply call him Barry... say, what do the S and the T stand for?

Barry: My forenames... but they are my secret. I really prefer being called Barry!

             

                

Flutterby: Eigentlich ziehen mich Geheimnisse ja sonst magisch an... aber gut, wenn Dir Barry eben so viel besser gefällt, dann bleiben wir auch dabei. Wie Ihr unschwer sehen könnt, ist Barry ein Roly-Poly-Erdbärchen... und genauso so rot, wie eine Erdbeere sein muss. Allerdings fehlt es ihm an den Attributen saftig und aromatisch *kicher* - und was das süß angeht, da müsst Ihr selbst entscheiden. Ach ja... Erdbeeren... süße, rote, saftige, aromatische Erdbeeren... *seufz*

Barry (leise zu sich): Bin ich froh, dass ich nur aussehe wie eine Erdbeere...

Flutterby: Usually secrets totally attract me...but okay, if you're prefering to be called Barry then we'll leave it this way. As you can easily see Barry is a Roly-Poly-Strawbeary... and as red as a strawberry should be. But for sure he misses the features juicy and aromatic *giggle* and as far as the sweetness is concernded you have to make your own opinion. Oh my... strawberries... sweet, red, juicy, aromatic strawberries... *sigh*

Barry (silently to himself): I'm so glad I'm only looking like a strawberry...

Willkommen im August

Hallo,

 

so, nun ist er also da - der August. Wenn ich nur wüsste, wo die vorherigen 7 Monate geblieben sind? *grübel*

... my, here it is - August. If I only had an idea where the previous 7 months have gone to? *think*

 

Aber nun nicht lange überlegt, wir haben Monatsanfang und das bedeutet Arbeit - vor allem für einen Gentlebären wie mich, denn wie immer ist es Ehrensache für mich, meiner Birgit bei der Umstellung ihrer unzähligen Kalender zu helfen. Schauen wir also mal, was unser Sprüchekalender uns im August sagen möchte... Nun, zunächst einmal zeigt er uns wieder mal ein sehr schönes Bild - und der Spruch passt dazu: "Der Weg zum Glücklichsein führt über die Brücke der Zufriedenheit." Leider wurde kein Autor angegeben, schade, für so einen schönen Satz muss man sich doch gar nicht schämen... *schmunzel*

But no more pondering, it's the beginning of yet another month and that means business - especially for a gentlebear like me, of course it's a question of honor to me helping my Birgit to switch her countless calendars. Let's have a look what our wisdom calendar wants to tell us in August... Well, at first it shows us another lovely picture - with a matching saying (As always no quotations, I'm trying to say it in my own poor English) which tells us that the way to happiness leads over the the bridge of contentment. Sadly there's no mentioning of the author - although I think noone should have to be ashamed for such a lovely saying... *smile*
            

               

Aber wie immer habe ich noch andere schöne Gedanken zum Monatsstart für Euch heraus gesucht. Falls die Brücke der Zufriedenheit einmal durch irgendwelche Hindernisse blockiert sein sollte, dann hilft vielleicht diese Erkenntnis von Mark Twain weiter: "Lachen bricht alle Widerstände". Wichtig ist aber auch, dass man sich nicht stressen lässt, denn wie der arabische Dichter Amrilkais schon vor vielen, vielen Jahrhunderten erkannt hat: "Gott hat dem Menschen die Zeit gegeben, aber von Eile hat er nichts gesagt." Tja, das solltet Ihr Menschen vielleicht öfter mal berücksichtigen, wir Bärchen sind da besser dran, wir sind von Natur aus gemütlich... *lach* Lasst also mal die Hektik außen vor, ganz im Sinne vom deutschen Schriftsteller Paul Keller, der gesagt hat: "Der Sommer macht den Menschen zum Träumer."
But as usual I've found some more nice thoughts for the month's beginning for you. If somehow the bridge of contenment should be blocked by some obstacles maybe a thought of Mark Twain can be helpful who said laughter breaks all resistances. And it's also important not to get stressed as Arabian poet Amrilkais pointed out many, many centuries ago when saying God gave time to people but he didn't say anything about haste. Yes, that's something you human beings should remember more often, we bearies are on the luckier side, we're comfy by nature... *LOL* So let the hustle and bustle outside right in the sense of German author Paul Keller who said summer makes people become dreamers.

 

Zum Schluß habe ich noch ein gutes Rezept für Euch, eine Weisheit aus Schweden: "Wir sollten das Beste hoffen, auf das Schlimmste gefasst sein und es nehmen, wie es kommt." Das finde ich sehr sinnvoll - lasst uns also versuchen, auf dem Weg zum Glücklichsein die Brücke der Zufriedenheit ohne Eile zu überqueren und dabei unsere Träume nicht zu vergessen... und dann nehmen wir es, wie es eben kommt.

 At the end I have one more good recipe for you, a wisdom coming from Sweden: Hope for the best, expect the worst and take it as it comes. That's the spirit - so let's try to cross the bridge of contentment slowly without any hectic on our way to happiness without forgetting about our dreams... and then we're going to take it as it comes.
 

Und bevor ich es vergesse... ich wollte Euch noch erzählen, dass Birgit unsere Blogseiten endlich mal aktualisiert hat. Das wurde auch wirklich Zeit - auf der Seite von der Hexenturm-Crew haben ja so viele wichtige Charaktere gefehlt, das ging ja gar nicht. Nun ist das "Who-is-who" komplett, was ich aber noch viel wichtiger finde... es gibt auch eine neue Seite mit Bildern von meinem Strawberry Cottage. Ach, ich bin doch wirklich das Flatterbärchen mit dem schönsten Zuhause auf der ganzen weiten Welt. Also, falls jemand Lust hat, da mal nachzuschauen, die Seiten finden sich ganz oben unter unserem Header. Und nun wünsche ich Euch allen einen wunderschönen August - auf dass die Brücke der Zufriedenheit sich mit Blogfreunden fülle! *lach*
And before I might forget about that... I still wanted to tell you that Birgit finally managed to update our blog-pages. That was about time - on the page of our witch tower crew there have been so many important characters missing, that was an absolute no-go. But now the "who-is-who" is complete and whatsmore... there's also a new page with pictures of my Strawberry Cottage. My, I am indeed the flutterybeary with the most beautiful home in the whole wide world. So, if anyone might be interested to have a look then you'll find the pages right on our blog's top under our header. And now I'm wishing to all of you a fantstic August - may the bridge of contentment be crowded with blogfriends! *LOL*
