Hallo,
schon so lange September und der Oktober bereits in Sicht - da wird's ja mal wieder Zeit für einen Post von uns... Birgit hat im realen Leben immer noch viel um die Ohren aber sobald sie ein bisschen Zeit hat, dann werkelt sie bereits an kleinen Überraschungen für Ihr-wisst-schon-was (und für alle, die nicht gleich drauf kommen... fängt mit "W" an und ist ein Fest am Jahresende... mir wird ganz anders beim Gedanken, wie wenig Zeit mir nur noch bleibt, um mir Pluspunkte im Goldenen Buch des Weihnachtsmannes zu verdienen... *schluck*). Das ist auch eine Art Birgit-Tradition... immer wenn sie Ende August ein Jahr älter geworden ist, ist das für sie irgendwie der Startschuss, sich schon mal mit "W" zu beschäftigen. Weil wir Euch davon aber aus nachvollziehbaren Gründen nichts zeigen können, zeigen wir Euch heute eben etwas hiervon und etwas davon... und beginnen mit der wunderschönen Geburtstagskarte, die Birgit von Ilona bekommen hat:
... September is here since so long and October is even coming into sight - now it's for sure time for another post from us... Birgit is still very busy in RL but whenever she can spare a bit of time she is working on little surprises for You-know-what (and for all of you who don't get it at once... it starts with "C" and is a holiday at the end of the year... I start trembling at the thought of how little time is left to gain me some good points in the Golden Book of Santa... *gulp*). This is some kind of a Birgit-tradition... whenever she turned one year older at the end of August this means somehow the kickoff for her to start thinking about "C". And because it's easy to understand that we're not able to show you anything of this we're going to show you a little bit of this and a little bit of that today... and we're starting with the beautiful birthday card Birgit received from Ilona:

Natürlich mit Marjolein-Bastin-Motiv, weil Ilona genau weiß, was Birgit gefällt... *schmunzel* Das war auch letztes Jahr der Fall, denn da hat Birgit diese Bastin-Karte zum Geburtstag bekommen:

Das Motiv ist natürlich perfekt für's Bärchenhaus, deshalb hat Birgit das nun auf Fotopapier gedruckt und gemeint, sie würde dafür ein schönes Plätzchen an irgendeiner Wand im Bärchenhaus finden.
This motif is of course perfect for the Beary House that's why Birgit printed it now on photo paper and said she would go and find a nice place for it on a wall in the Beary House.
Es gibt aber noch mehr Kandidaten, die einen schönen Platz an einer Wand im Bärchenhaus benötigen... Über die Jahre hat Birgit von unserer lieben Freundin Drora einige Geschenke bekommen, die nun endlich den ihnen zustehenden Ehrenplatz bekommen sollen. Da sind zum einen diese drei kleinen Spiegel, verziert mit winzigen Muscheln aus dem Heiligen Land...
And there are some more candidates who would like to have a nice place at one of the walls in the Beary House... Over the years Birgit has received some gifts from our dear friend Drora which shall finally get their deserved places of honor. First there are these three small mirrors decorated with tiny shells from the Holy Land...

und dann diese wunderschöne Box (schon unsere zweite, die erste hat ja einen Ehrenplatz bei Gertie Gumthrop).
and then this beautiful box (it's already our second one, the first has a place of honor at Gertie Gumthrop's).
Darin waren sogar noch winzige Muscheln - Birgit hat die aber lieber festgeklebt und das Kästchen vorher mit blauem Samt ausgeschlagen und einen Hauch Goldfarbe drüber gelegt.
Inside were even some loose tiny shells - which Birgit fixed with glue after covering the box's inside with blue velvet and a touch of gold colour.
Auch die Spiegel wurden noch etwas bearbeitet - etwas Frostfarbe drauf und bemalte Metallornamente et voilà... maritime Wanddeko.
And the mirrors too got a little makeover - a bit of frost colour and some painted metal charms et voilà... a maritime wall decoration.
Danach hat sich Birgit um die Stehlampe gekümmert, die früher im Esszimmer des alten Bärchenhauses stand.
Next in line to meet Birgit was the standard lamp which used to stand in the dining room of the old Beary House.
Leider kaltweißes Licht *seufz*.
Sadly with cold white light *sigh*.
Das lässt sich nicht ändern... das langweilige Aussehen aber schon. Birgit hat ein Stück blaue Faserseide genommen,
Well, this can't be changed... but the boring look can be improved. Birgit took a piece of blue mulberry paper,
danach kam noch ein bisschen Farbe dazu und am Ende sah die Lampe dann so aus:

Besser - und das kaltweiße Licht wirkt auch gleich angenehmer:

Und auch für das kleine Nachtschränkchen aus dem alten Bärchenhaus war es an der Zeit für ein Makeover...

Rosey: Entschuldige, ich muss Dich kurz korrigieren... Das hier ist kein Nachtschrank - das ist eine Schatztruhe!
Flutterby: Äh... öhm... vielleicht solltest Du mal über einen Augenarzttermin nachdenken???
Rosey (grinst): Nö, mit meinen Augen ist alles in bester Ordnung... aber ich mache mir Sorgen um Deinen Honigdetektor... oder sollte ich besser Erdbeerdetektor sagen?
Flutterby: *???*
Rosey (grinst noch breiter): Ich glaube, Du wirst alt, lieber Bruder... Du erkennst ja eine Schatztruhe nicht mal, wenn Du genau vor ihr stehst.
Rosey: I'm sorry but I have to correct you... This piece is not a bedside table - it's a treasure chest!
Flutterby: Eh... well... perhaps you should better think about making an Ophthalmologist appointment???
Rosey (grinning): No, my eyesight is absolutely okay... but I'm worried now about your honey detector... or should I better say strawberry detector?
Flutterby: *???*
Rosey (grinning even broader): My, I suppose you're getting old, dear brother... you don't even recognize a treasure chest when standing in front of it.
Flutterby (strahlt): Die hat sich aber auch richtig gut als Nachtschrank getarnt, die Schatztruhe... Weißt Du, Rosey... manchmal hast Du direkt gute Einfälle. Oder (grinst) kann es sein, dass Du auch noch ein paar Pluspunkte im Goldenen Buch gebrauchen kannst?
Rosey: Phhhh... im Gegensatz zu Dir stecke ich ja meine Pfoten nicht heimlich in verbotene Keksdosen...
Flutterby: Ssssshhhhht... nicht so laut... man kann Dich ja bis zum Nordpol hören!!!
Flutterby (beams with joy): My, but this treasure chest disguised perfectly as a bedside table... You know what, Rosey... every now and then you come along with real good ideas. Or (grinning) could it be that you too are in need of a few good points in the Golden Book?
Rosey: Phhh... unlike you I'm not secretly diving my paws into forbidden cookie jars...
Flutterby: Ssssshhhht... not so loud... they might hear you at the North Pole!!!
Kleine Schwestern... man kann nicht mit ihnen, aber ohne irgendwie auch nicht... *grins* Und schon gar nicht, wenn sie so gute Einfälle haben wie zum Beispiel Kuchen belegt mit süßen, roten, saftigen, aromatischen Früchten als Flatterbärchenüberraschung in einer Schublade zu deponieren. Und nachdem der kleine Schrank nun leer war *kicher* konnte Birgit sich ihm widmen - und am Ende sah er so aus:
Little sisters... you can't get along with them but you can't get along without them neither... *grin* And especially not if they have awesome ideas like for example storing cakes covered with sweet, red, juicy, aromatic fruits as a flutterybeary surprise in a drawer. And after the small cabinet was fully empty *giggle* Birgit could start to work on it - and in the end it looked like this:
Passend zur Neugestaltung der anderen Möbel im ehemaligen Kinderzimmer... und jetzt auch ohne erdbeerigen Inhalt. *lach* Aber nicht nur Birgit hat fleißig gewerkelt, auch meinereiner hat selbstverständlich am Monatsanfang wie immer tatkräftig beim Aktualisieren von Birgits zahlreichen Kalendern geholfen. Ihr wisst ja - ich bin ein Gentlebär von Kopf bis Fuß (Und ein Gentlebär, dem im Kopf ganz schwummrig wird angesichts der wenigen Zeit, die nur noch zum Pluspunktesammeln bleibt... *schluck*) Diesen Monat zeigt unser Sprüchekalender ein ganz besonders schönes Bild - und einen Spruch von Novalis: "Die Liebe ist stumm, nur die Poesie kann für sie sprechen."
Matching with the makeover of the other pieces of furniture in the former nursery... and now without any strawberry content. *LOL* But not only Birgit was busy, of course I too have helped my Birgit with the update of her several calendars at the month's beginning. You know by now - I'm a gentlebeary from head to toe (And a gentlebeary who gets dizzy in the head regarding the little time remaining to gain me some more good points... *gulp*) This month our wisdom calendar shows a very beautiful picture - and a saying by Novalis who came to the conclusion that love would be silent and only poetry was able to speak for her.
Das ist zwar hübsch gesagt, aber ich möchte ihm da doch widersprechen. Man kann auch sehr profan ausdrücken, wie lieb man jemanden hat: "Pass auf Dich auf!" - "Bind einen Schal um, damit Du Dich nicht erkältest!" - "Ruf an, wenn Du angekommen bist!"... oder zum Beispiel: "Geht mal wieder an die frische Luft raus in den Garten!" Tja, und wenn Birgit auf so nette Weise ausdrückt, wie wichtig ihr ihre Bärchenkinder sind, dann bleibt Rosey und mir ja gar nichts anderes übrig, als in den Garten zu gehen und mit Folge 93917 unserer *hüstel* beliebten Reihe "Und schon wieder jede Menge Bilder von BiWuBärchen im Garten" wieder zu kommen. *grins*
This is nicely said but I still need to disagree. It's in fact possible to express in a very profane way how much you care about somebody: "Take good care of yourself!" - "Wear your scarf so you won't catch a cold!" - "Call me after you've arrived there!"... or for example: "Better go out to get them fresh air in the garden!" Well, if Birgit is expressing in such a nice way how much she cares about her beary kids Rosey and I can't help to go out into the garden and to come back with volume 93917 of our *coughcough* beloved series "And once more many pictures of BiWuBearies in the garden". *grin*

Und das war's auch schon von uns für heute - fast... wir möchten Euch nämlich noch gerne Neues von Mr. Iceman zeigen. Vielleicht erinnert Ihr Euch an ihn - Elizabeth hatte uns diesen besonderen frostigen Gesellen geschickt und Birgit hatte damals gemeint, sie wisse genau den richtigen Platz für ihn. Nun, überzeugt Euch selbst, aber wir finden, besser als bei Bowler hätte es Mr. Iceman gar nicht treffen können.
And now we're done for today - almost... before we're leaving we would like to show you news about Mr. Iceman. Perhaps you remember him - Elizabeth sent this special frosty chap to us and back then Birgit said she would know the perfect place for him. Well, check it out but we think that Mr. Iceman could not have found a better place than Bowler's home.

Die Beiden lassen es sich gut gehen bei einer schönen Tasse Eistee (was wörtlich gemeint ist... jedem das Seine... ich bärsönlich wäre da ja mehr für schöne süße, rote, saftige, aromatische Früchte, aber diese Frostwesen ticken halt anders *hihi*). Und das empfehlen wir Euch auch, nicht den Eistee auf Bowler-Art... aber dass Ihr es Euch gut gehen lasst. Habt einen schönen September!
Both of them are enjoying a nice cup of ice tea (which is meant literally... everybody to his/her likings... but bearsonally I would prefer for sure some lovely sweet, red, juicy, aromatic fruits, but well, these frosty guys find their pleasure in different things *teehee*). We would also recomend this to you, well, not ice tea the Bowler way... but enjoying yourselves and having a good time. We're wishing to you a wonderful September!
