wir sind's - wir hoffen, Ihr habt die Feiertage gut überstanden und dass das neue Jahr Euch bisher gut behandelt hat. Bei uns begann das neue Jahr wie immer mit dem Abschied von der kompletten Weihnachtsdekoration und deshalb grüßen Rosey und ich heute auch schon wieder aus Strawberry Cottage.
... it's us - and we hope you made it well through the holidays and that the new year treated you kind so far. As usual the new year started for us with a goodbye from the complete Christmas decoration and for this today Rosey and I are greeting again from Strawberry Cottage.
So schön mein Zuhause als Christmas Cottage auch ist, es ist auch schön, wenn alles wieder normal ist. Mir wurde ja schön öfter von jemandem (ich nenne keine Namen - aber Ihr kommt bestimmt drauf) gesagt, das alles seine Zeit hat. Tja, und im Januar ist bei uns traditionell die Zeit, doch noch einmal auf die Weihnachtszeit zurück zu blicken, um uns für all die wunderbaren Geschenke zu bedanken, die liebe Blogfreunde uns geschickt und uns damit die Weihnachtszeit verschönert haben. Willkommen also zur alljährlichen Weihnachtgeschenkeparade auf "BiWuBären on the Blog"... und wie immer machen wir das alphabetisch und beginnen daher mit dem Weihnachtsgruß von Alex.
And as lovely my home is in its appearance as Christmas Cottage, after all it's good if things are back to normal again. I was told many times from somebody (I'm not telling names - but I bet you can guess it) that everything has its own time. Well, and January is traditionally our time to look back at Christmas time as we really need to say thanks for all the wonderful gifts we've received from dear blogfriends making our Season so much brighter. Birgit freut sich schon darauf, das zusammen zu bauen. Noch mehr freut sich allerdings meine kleine Schwester, denn die Laube ist für Roseys neugestalteten Garten gedacht. Vielen Dank, liebe Jodi! Und damit kommen wir zu den Geschenken von Pilar, die extrem lange unterwegs waren und erst Mitte Januar angekommen sind. Aber Hauptsache, sie sind angekommen - denn es wäre furchtbar, wenn all diese Schätze verloren gegangen wären.
Birgit is already looking forward to build this. But my little sis' is looking forward to this even more as the arbour is meant for the makeover of Rosey's garden. Thank you so much, dear Jodi! And now we're coming to the gifts from Pilar, which took plenty of delivery time and did not arrive before mid-January. But what counts in the end is that they arrived after all - because it would have been a tragedy if these treasures had gone lost.

Neben den leckeren Geleebonbons haben wir einen Bausatz für ein spektakuläres Hochbett erhalten, den Rosanna selbst gemacht hat. Und es war ein toller Zufall, denn Birgit hatte gerade Ausschau nach einem besonderen Bett für Lasse gehalten... und das hat sich nun auf die wunderbarste Weise erledigt. Vielen Dank, liebe Rosanna! Rosanna bloggt ja leider nicht mehr - und das gilt leider auch für die nun folgenden lieben Freunde, die uns trotzdem nicht vergessen haben. Da wären zum Beispiel unsere Freundin Martina alias Tinchen, die uns auch für 2024 wieder mit einem wunderschönen Kalender von Peter Schnellhardt versorgt hat.
Next to yummy jelly candies we've received a kit for a spectacular bunk bed designed by Rosanna herself. And it was a lucky coincidence because Birgit had just started to watch out for a special bed meant for Lasse... and this was now solved the most wonderful way. Thank you so much, dear Rosanna! Sadly Rosanna isn't blogging anymore - and sadly this is also true for the following dear friends who still did not forget about us. Among them and next in line is our friend Martina aka Tinchen who also for 2024 spoiled us with a beautiful calendar by Peter Schnellhardt.
Außerdem gab es noch leckere Schokolade und ein Notizbuch. Danke, liebes Tinchen! Und auch unsere Freundin Tine weiß ganz genau, dass man Birgit immer eine Freude mit einem Kalender machen kann... und uns BiWuBärchen mit allem, was süß und lecker ist. *hihi*

Und das Beste daran: Das ist ein Wochenkalender!!! Mit anderen Worten: 52 Extra-Gelegenheiten für ein Gentlebärchen, um sich Pluspunkte im Goldenen Buch zu verdienen! Wie toll ist das denn??? Aber es kam sogar noch besser... denn glaubt es oder glaubt es nicht... aber ich habe aus reinem Interesse willkürlich eine Seite aufgeschlagen und da kam dieses Bild zum Vorschein:

In Wort und Bild - da kann Birgit sich jetzt schon bereit machen - wenn die Woche im Juli vorbei ist, will ich das Bild verkleinert und gerahmt in Strawberry Cottage hängen haben. *strahl* Danke, liebe Ulrike! Und obwohl wir noch nicht fertig sind mit der Geschenkeparade, fügen wir schnell folgendes Beweisfoto ein:

Ihr glaubt doch wohl nicht, dass Mr. Gentlebear und seine kleine Schwester in diesem Jahr aufgehört haben, Birgit mit den Kalenderumstellungen zu helfen, oder? Nach Weihnachten ist schließlich vor Weihnachten... und gewisse Flatterbärchen können gar nicht früh genug anfangen mit dem Sammeln von Pluspunkten... *ähem* Und damit kommen wir zum letzten Weihnachtsgruß und der kam von Véronique... und die hat auch genau gewusst, wie sie Rosey und mich glücklich machen kann:

In the end after Christmas is before Christmas... and certain flutterybearies can never start too early to collect themselves some good points... *ehem* And with this we're coming to the last Christmas greeting and this came from Véronique... who also knew well how to make Rosey and me happy:
Wie toll ist das denn bitte?! Vielen Dank, liebe Véronique! So, das waren jetzt wirklich alle Geschenke von unseren lieben Blogfreunden... aber ein Geschenk haben wir noch, das wir zeigen möchten - nämlich das Geschenk, das Birgit sich selbst gemacht hat. Wie viele von Euch wissen war die stille Blogleserin ein großer Schneemannfan. Birgit konnte Ihr daher mit Schneewesen immer eine große Freude machen, entweder mit ihren eigenen BiWuSchneewesen oder mit gekauften Figuren. Zum Beispiel hat Birgit ihren Eltern und dann ihrer Mutter jedes Jahr einen Adventskalender gemacht mit einem BiWuBärchen oder -Schneewesen am 1. Dezember und auch der einen oder anderen "Cherished Teddies"-Figur (am Nikolaustag war das immer gesetzt). Daher verbringen jetzt etliche Cherished Teddies die Adentszeit mit uns... viele Santas, aber natürlich auch viele mit Schneemännern. Und nun hat die Miniaturistin Shirley Scheibehenne angefangen, Miniaturversionen von Cherished Teddies anzubieten... und darunter waren einige, die wir hier stehen haben. Birgit hat sich zwei davon selbst zu Weihnachten geschenkt - und im besonderen Andenken an die stille Blogleserin natürlich welche mit Schneemännern.
How great is that?! Many thanks, dear Véronique! Well, now you've really seen all gifts from our dear blogfriends... but there's still one gift we would like to show to you - in fact the gift Birgit has given to herself. As many of you know the silent blogreader was a big snowman lover. Birgit was always able to make her happy with a snow being, whether with her own BiWuSnowBeings or with bought figurines. For example Birgit gave every year an Advent calendar to her parents and then to her mother with a BiWuBeary or -SnowBeing for December 1st and one or even more "Cherished Teddies" figurines (one was always scheduled for St. Nick's Day). That's why now several Cherished Teddies spend Advent time with us... many Santas, but of course also many with snowmen. And now miniaturist Shirley Scheibehenne started to offer miniature versions of Cherished Teddies... and among them were quite a few we have standing here. Birgit gave two of them to herself at Christmas - and in loving memory of the silent blogreader there had to be snowmen involved.

Schon toll, was man mit einem 3D-Drucker alles machen kann! Und nun habt Ihr es fast geschafft mit unserer Geschenkeparade... aber etwas fehlt noch... denn bei den Geschenken ist ja meistens noch eine schöne Grußkarte mit dabei. Und diesen Advent hat Birgit es endlich geschafft, ein Geschenk ihrer Kusine in einen Kartenhalter umzuwandeln. Das Teil ist eigentlich ein Adventskalender mit Haken für 24 Beutel... und dafür wurde er letztes Jahr auch wieder genutzt. Aber auf der Rückseite hat Birgit nun ein paar Klammern angebracht und die Seiten mit einer Tannengirlande sowie einer Lichterkette verziert et voilà:
It's for sure amazing what can be done with a 3D printer! And now you have almost made it to the end of our gifts on parade... but something is missing still... because usually together with the gifts lovely Christmas cards do arrive too. And this Advent Birgit has finally managed to turn a gift received from her cousin into a card holder. This piece is originally an Advent calendar with hooks for holding 24 bags... and this was what it was used for once more last year. But now Birgit also attached a few clamps (or clothespins) to the back of it and decorated the sides with a fir garland and a light chain et voilà:
Und wo wir gerade bei Grußkarten sind... Birgit hat ja selbst Weihnachtsgrüße verschickt und dazu gehört bei ihr ja immer auch eine selbstgemachte Karte. Insgesamt hat sie 47 Karten gemacht (davon waren 18 im Auftrag für eine Verwandte) und die sahen - was viele von Euch ja wissen - am Ende so aus:
And speaking of Christmas cards... Birgit too sent some Christmas greetings which always include a handmade card. In total she made 48 cards (18 of them were on behalf of a relative) and as many of you know these looked like this in the end:
Birgits Karten sind ja immer recht arbeitsintensiv, nicht nur wegen der Menge... Aber vielleicht ist es ja dem einen oder anderen aufgefallen, dass die Weihnachtskarten für 2023 besonders arbeitsintensiv waren. Wir geben Euch mal einen kleinen Hinweis *schmunzel*
Birgit's cards always mean a lot of work and time and not only because of the quantity... But perhaps some of you have noticed at all that the Christmas cards for 2023 meant even more work and time. We're giving you a small hint *smile*
Fehlt noch Punkt 8: Wiederholen - damit es am Ende 48 Bilder sind! *grins* So, das war's nun aber endgültig mit unserem Rückblick auf Weihnachten. Jetzt heißt es nach vorne schauen... mal sehen, was für Projekte da auf Birgit warten. Was mich angeht... ich habe ja nun gelernt, dass es geradezu meine Pflicht ist, mich selbst glücklich zu machen...
Point 8 is missing: Repeat - to make it 48 pictures in the end! *grin* Well, this was in fact the end of our Christmas retrospective. Now it's time to look forward... let's see what kind of projects are waiting for Birgit there. And as far as I am concerned... I've learnt now that it is somehow my duty to make myself happy...
Und in Sachen Goldenes Buch schadet es ja bestimmt nicht, wenn ich meiner kleinen Schwester in einem Anfall von Großzügigkeit ein, zwei, drei, vier Erdbeeren abgebe. Und Kaffee kann sie sogar bekommen, bis er ihr zu den Ohren wieder rausläuft *grins* Wir wünschen Euch für den Rest vom Januar schöne und hoffentlich kreative Tage!
And keeping in mind the Golden Book it might not be a bad idea to share in an act of generosity one, two, three, four strawberries with my little sister.
