Back in Black

 Hallo,

wir sind's wieder - heute noch einmal mit der Stimme aus dem Hintergrund, denn ich möchte mich unbedingt persönlich bei Euch allen bedanken für die tröstenden und liebevollen Worte zum Tod der stillen Blogleserin. Vielen Dank für Eure Kommentare unter unserem letzten Post, aber noch mehr für all die privaten Nachrichten, die mich erreicht haben. Das hat mir wieder deutlich gezeigt, was für ein besonderer Ort Blogspot ist... und deshalb (und weil ich Euch und Eure wunderbaren Projekte vermisse) war es an der Zeit für mich, zurück zu kommen. Ich werde zwar in absehbarer Zeit nicht viel Neues zu Zeigen haben, weil mir nach wie vor nichts Freude macht, aber ich werde Euch wieder regelmäßig besuchen.

... it's us again - today once more with the voice from the background because I really need to thank all of you personally for all the comforting and lovely words after announcing the death of the silent blogreader. Many thanks for all your comments under our last post but even more for all the private messages I've received since then. This showed me once more what a special  place Blogspot is... and because of that (and because I'm missing all of you and your wonderful projects) it was about time for me to come back. I don't think I'll be able to show something new in the near future as my mind is still blank and nothing brings me joy but I'll continue to visit you regularly again. 

Heute aber können wir Euch doch etwas Neues zeigen und das passt auch noch perfekt zu Halloween. Vielleicht erinnert sich noch jemand an meine Version des Pumpkin Cottage von Petite Properties... obwohl wir das bereits an Halloween im Jahr 2017 vorgestellt haben.

But today we're able to show something new anyhow and this is even perfect for Halloween, too. Maybe some of you still remember my version of Pumpkin Cottage by Petite Properties... although we've introduced this at Halloween back in 2017.

 Leider hatte sich damals gezeigt, dass die kleine Hexe Eusebia Featherstone viel zu groß für das Cottage und die Möbel war - obwohl eigentlich alles im Maßstab 1:48 sein sollte. Nun ja... schon damals bestand die Problemlösung aus einem Garten, in dem Eusebias Größe hoffentlich etwas weniger auffallen würde. Allerdings hat es dann bis zum September dieses Jahres gedauert, bis Pumpkin Cottage tatsächlich einen Garten bekommen hat. Und obwohl das eigentlich nur ein ganz kleines Projekt war, ist es inzwischen zu einem ganz besonderen Projekt geworden - denn es ist das letzte fertige Projekt, das ich meiner Mutter zeigen konnte...

Sadly back then I had to learn that the little witch Eusebia Featherstone was much too big for the cottage and the furniture - although everything was supposed to be scale 1:48. Well... already in 2017 the solution appeared to be a garden in which Eusebia's size would hopefully not be as apparent as inside the house. However it took me until this year's September to create a garden for Pumpkin Cottage. And although this was just a very small project it turned by now into a very special one - because it is the last finished project I could ever show to my Mom...

Begonnen habe ich mit dem Untergrund...

I started with the base...

... wobei ich hinten ausgespart habe.

... but decided to spare the back.

Danach entstanden zwei Bäume aus Draht, Klebstoff, Farbe und etwas von dem Stoff, mit dem BiWuBärchen gefüllt werden.

After this I made two trees from wire, glue, paint and a bit of the stuff which is usually for filling BiWuBearies.

Und zusammen mit einigen selbstgemachten winzigen Pilzen, Kürbissen und sogar einem Kieselsteiner sowie Grünzeug sieht das dann so aus:

And together with some homemade tiny mushrooms, pumpkins and even a pebblestoner as well as some green stuff it turned out like this:

Eusebia Featherstone und ihr Hausdrache haben sich sehr darüber gefreut. Sehr gefreut habe auch ich mich, als mich ein Geschenk von Ricardo erreichte - nicht nur, weil Geschenke von Ricardo immer toll sind, sondern auch, weil es ein Problem mit der Post gab und deshalb lange dauerte. Aber Hauptsache, es ist angekommen - und nun sind wir stolze Besitzer von weiteren fantastischen Büchern aus der Hand von Ricardo:

I myself was also happy when I received a gift from Ricardo - not only because gifts from Ricardo are always awesome but also because there was some trouble with the mail delivery which made its journey longer than usual. Ein schönes Etui, bunte Federn und eine Box voll mit den tollsten Charms und Bändern. Aber das war längst noch nicht alles, denn Huibrecht hat mir auch noch diese Nalladris-Miniaturen zum Bemalen geschickt.

A lovely etui, colourful feathers and a box filled with the most wonderful charms and ribbons of all sorts. But this wasn't all yet because Huibrecht also sent me these items by Nalladris which need to be painted still.

Ich war wirklich total gerührt von so viel Freundlichkeit... aber auch noch aus einem anderen Grund. Ich hatte nämlich die bärigen Nußknacker (von denen es auch eine Bärenkönigin gibt) bereits bei Nalladris entdeckt und ehrlich... die sind doch nun wirklich wie für mich gemacht. Ich war so begeistert, dass ich sie auch sofort meiner Mutter gezeigt habe - die wie immer in solchen Fällen reagierte: "Toll! Bestell' die - die bekommst Du von mir zu Weihnachten." Und was habe ich gemacht? Ich habe ihr geantwortet, dass ich noch gerne warten möchte, weil ich davon ausgegangen bin, dass Sun noch mehr interessante Neuheiten einstellen würde. Damit hatte ich übrigens recht, aber das kann mich nicht trösten, denn wenn ich bereits bestellt hätte, würde ich nun ein allerletztes Geschenk von meiner Mutter in Händen halten... Aber auch, wenn sie es mir nicht mehr selbst schenken kann - ich werde mir das bärige Nußknackerpaar noch bestellen und es hoffentlich schaffen, daraus Versionen von Fluby und Rosey zu machen in Erinnerung an die stille Blogleserin. Und der bärige Nußknacker von Huibrecht wird einen Ehrenplatz im Weihnachtshaus bekommen.

I was deeply touched by so much kindness... but also for another reason. I had already spotted these beary nutcrackers (they also sell a version of a beary queen) at Nalladris' and honestly... they look as being made having me in mind. I was so excited that I showed them to my Mom at once - who reacted as always in cases like these: "Great! Order them - I'll give them to you for Christmas." And what did I do? I replied to her that I would like to wait a little more because I expected Sun would list some more interesting new items. Btw I was right with this but this is no comfort at all because if I would have ordered already I would now hold a last gift from my Mom in my hands... But although she can't give it to me by herself anymore - I am going to order this beary pair of nutcrackers and will hopefully make it to turn them into versions of Fluby and Rosey in memory of the silent blogreader. And the beary nutcracker from Huibrecht will receive a place of honor in the Christmas House.

Und das war's für heute von mir und BiWuBären on the Blog - bis auf eines... Für mich hat sich mein ganzes Leben von einem Moment auf den anderen geändert auf eine Weise, die unvorstellbar traurig und grausam ist. Aber ich weiß genau: Die stille Blogleserin hätte sich in jedem Fall von mir gewünscht, dass ich weiter mache mit dem, woran sie selbst so viel Spaß hatte. Und daher schließen wir heute am 31. Oktober in guter alter BiWuBären-Tradition:

But I know this for sure: The silent blogreader would really want me to continue with what she also enjoyed so much. That's why we finish today at October 31st in the traditional BiWuBeary way:

nun wird's aber Zeit, dass wir uns hier mal wieder sehen lassen... unser Blog war ja schon ganz staubig. *lach* Oder um unsere liebe Freundin Ulrike zu zitieren (der ging es nämlich ähnlich): "Oh weh! Da ist der halbe Februar schon fast vorbei und ich habe keinen Post geschrieben."  Und weil wir uns länger nicht gesehen haben, haben wir Euch ein kleines Küsschen mitgebracht...
… oh my, now it's really time that we're showing up again… our blog got covered with dust in the meantime. *LOL* Or in the words of our dear friend Ulrike (who happens to have the same experience): "Oh my! Now half of February is over again and I did not write a single post at all." And because we haven't seen each other for some time we've brought along with us a little kiss for you…

Wie wir hier oben sagen: "Kriegst 'nen Süßen!"... *kicher* Was es damit auf sich hat, erzählen wir gleich. Erst einmal wollen wir Euch wie versprochen (oder wie angedroht... das liegt wohl im Auge des Betrachters *grins*) die drei Weihnachtselfen En, To und Tre näher vorstellen, die ja bereits in unserem Post vom 3. Advent ihren großen Auftritt hatten. Hier sind sie - und wenn ich Euch verrate, dass en, to, tre Dänisch ist für eins, zwei, drei, dann könnt Ihr die Kerlchen auch locker auseinander halten.
A truly sweet one… *giggle* But we're going to tell the story behind this a little later. Now as promised (or perhaps as threatened… a decision everybody needs to make for him-/herself *grin*) we'd like to introduce the three Christmas elves En, To and Tre a little more who already had their big showtime in our post for Advent 3rd. Here they are - and as soon as I've told you that en, to, tre is Danish for one, two, three you will be easily be able to tell who is who.

 

Schon zu Beginn der Planungen für das Weihnachtshaus war Birgit eigentlich klar, dass es ohne winzige Weihnachtselfen nicht gehen würde. Das festzustellen war einfach... es in die Tat umzusetzen aber eine Herausforderung, denn etwas in Richtung Elfen hatte Birgit vorher noch nie gemacht. Und es wurde auch nicht einfacher dadurch, dass die Elfen beweglich sein sollten - und winzig... aber nicht einfach nur winzig, sondern so klein, dass sie zum Maßstab 1:48 passen. Aber Birgit hat die Herausforderung angenommen - und so wurde aus Draht ein Körpergerüst gebaut. Ergänzt mit Elfenschuhen und Händen (die echt winzig sind und trotzdem überdimensioniert wirken... *seufz*) sowie etwas Bauchfülle mit Hilfe von Klebstoff und ersten Farbakzenten sah das so aus:
When she started to make plans for the Christmas House Birgit knew right away that this could never be complete without tiny Christmas elves. Deciding this was easy... but realizing it was quite a challenge because so far Birgit had never made anything in the range of elf-lookalikes before. And it didn't get any easier after deciding that the elves should be movable - and tiny… and not just tiny but so tiny that they would match with scale 1:48. But Birgit faced this challenge - and started to turn wire into a body structure. After adding elven shoes and hands (who are in fact really tiny but look still so huge… *seufz*) as well as some glue for some belly growth and some first touches of paint it looked like this:
 

 

Danach hat Birgit in Sachen Kleidung getüftelt...
Then Birgit struggled with the clothes…

 

… und hat dann aus Fimo diese drei *hüstel* Charakterköpfe gemacht.

… and after this she made these three *coughcough* character heads out of polymer clay.

 

 

Und kaum waren sie nach einer Begegnung mit Birgits Pinseln fertig, da fingen sie schon an, alles und jeden zu erkunden (was eine sehr höfliche Umschreibung ist für den Zustand, dass die Drei sich als Trio Infernale entpuppten, jeder für sich eine erstklassige Nervensäge, aber das darf ich nicht laut sagen... Ihr wisst ja... nach dem Goldenen Buch ist vor dem Goldenen Buch... äh... wo war ich... ach ja... "erkunden"):

And right away after they were finished after one more date with Birgit's brushes those three started to explore everything and everybody/-beary (which is a very polite description of the fact that these three appeared to be Trio Infernale, each of them being a first-class pain in the neck but I'm not allowed to say this aloud… you know by now… after the Golden Book is before the Golden Book... eh... where was I... oh yes… "explore"):

 

Aber nicht nur Rosey und ich mussten als Spielplatz herhalten, die Drei entdeckten auch sehr schnell Strawberry Hut und fühlten sich (wohl auch aufgrund des wunderbaren Rot-Grün-Farbkonzeptes... hach... rot-grün... rot wie Erdbeeren... grün wie Erdbeerblätter... gibt es eine schönere Farbkombi auf der Welt???... äh... weiter im Text...) dort sofort sehr wohl.

But not just Rosey and I had to suffer from being declared to be a playground, those three also discovered Strawberry Hut and felt comfortable there at once (I suppose this has something to do with this wonderful red-green-color-combination… sigh… red and green… red like strawberries… green like strawberry leaves… could there bee a more beautiful color combination in the world???... eh... let's continue…)

 

Nur der arme Mini-Fluby wusste erst gar nicht, was er von dieser Invasion halten soll!

But in the beginning poor Mini-Fluby did not know what to think of this invasion!

 

Weil aber alle Flatterbärchen - egal ob stolze 9 Bärchenzentimeter groß oder in der Miniminiversion - freundliche Gastgeber sind, hat er sich schnell mit den Dreien angefreundet und sich dann insbesondere mit To sehr lange unterhalten.

But due to the fact that all flutterybearies - whether they are proud 9 beary centimeters tall or of the miniminikind - are friendly hosts he became friends with the three elves very fast and had a long conversation with To.

 

Sehr schön, da wissen Rosey und ich die drei Lümmel... äh... kleinen Kerlchen wollte ich natürlich sagen, in guten Händen... äh... Pfoten...

That's nice, now Rosey and I know the three rascals… eh... little guys, that's what I wanted to say of course, are in good hands... eh... paws...

 

… und können uns anderen Dingen zuwenden. Zum Beispiel dem Zeigen des Kalenderbildes für Februar - denn ich habe selbstverständlich auch in diesem Monat meiner Birgit beim Umstellen ihrer zahlreichen Kalender geholfen. Ihr wisst ja - ich bin ein Gentlebär von Kopf bis Fuß. Und ich weiß  nicht, ob ich das schon mal erwähnt habe, aber man kann nie früh genug anfangen, sich Pluspunkte im Goldenen Buch des Weihnachtsmannes zu verdienen. *grins* Im Februar zeigt unser Sprüchekalender ein Schwanenpaar und einen Spruch von Eleanor Roosevelt: "Die Zukunft gehört denen, die an die Wahrhaftigkeit ihrer Träume glauben."

... that's why we can take care of other things now. Like for example showing the calendar picture for February - of course I've helped my Birgit once more in this month with the update of her several calendars. You know me - I'm a gentlebeary from top to toe. And I don't know if I've ever mentioned this before but one can never start too early to earn some good points in Santa's Golden Book. *grin* This February our wisdom calendar is showing a pair of swans and a saying by Eleanor Roosevelt. She said the future would belong to those who would believe in the truthfulness of their dreams.

 

Das hat sie schön gesagt, Träume sind tatsächlich ein besonderer Treibstoff... und das gilt auch für Tagträume. Ich weiß ja nicht, wie es Euch geht... aber bei Tagträumen muss ich automatisch an eine ganz besondere Bloggerin denken - eine Miniaturistin, die nicht nur wunderschöne Träume träumt, sondern diese auch absolut beeindruckend in die Realität zu holen vermag. *schmunzel* Ihr wisst sicherlich längst, von wem ich hier spreche... aber es hat einen guten Grund, warum ich unsere liebe Freundin Betsy hier erwähne. Ich hatte ja versprochen, dass ich noch einmal auf die schokoladigen Küsse zu sprechen komme... Die kamen nämlich zahlreich zu uns von der anderen Seite des Atlantiks...

A very nice thought from her because dreams are for sure a very special type of fuel... and this is also true for daydreams. I don't know about you... but whenever speaking of daydreams I can't help to think of a very special blogger at once - a miniaturist who not only dreams the most beautiful dreams but is also able to bring them to reality in a most impressive way. *smile* I'm sure you all know by now of whom I'm talking here... but there's a very good reason why I'm mentioning our dear friend Betsy now. Remember my promise that I would tell you about those chocolaty kisses? Well, there were quite some of them coming over to us from the other side of the Atlantic Ocean...

Hurra!!! Wir haben auch für 2019 unser eigenes Exemplar von Betsys legendärer Weihnachtskarte bekommen!!! Wie toll ist das denn??? Und auch diesmal ist Betsy wieder ein wahres Meisterwerk gelungen, das neben vielen familiären Ereignissen natürlich auch die Entstehung ihrer vier saisonalen Fliedersträucher zeigt. Und schaut mal wer da vor dem winterlichen Fliederbusch steht und winkt!!!
Hooray!!! Also for 2019 we got our own copy of Betsy's legendary Christmas card!!! How great is that??? And once more Betsy managed to create a stunning masterpiece which shows next to many family moments of course also the creation of her four seasonal lilac shrubs. And just have a look who is standing in front of the winter lilac waving hello!!!
 

 Unser Cloude - der ja als Weihnachtsgeschenk zu Betsy gereist ist. Hach... da war Birgit aber wieder gerührt, dass es ihr Schneewesen auf Betsys fantastische Karte geschafft hat. Aber es gab noch so viel mehr auf der Karte zu entdecken, z. B. die Entstehung der Fliederblüten oder des Quilts, den Daphne und Renee für Grand-père genäht haben.
It's our Cloude - who was our Christmas gift for Betsy. My… Birgit was indeed very touched when she noticed that her snow being made it to become a part of Betsy's awesome card. But there was so much more to be discovered on that card like for example the making of the lilac blossoms or the sewing of the quilt which was given to Grand-père by Daphne and Renee.
 

Und ganz prominent ist auch Penny Wooden zu sehen, die Betsy letztes Jahr näher vorgestellt hat... obwohl sie vielen von uns längst vertraut war als Betsys Icon. Sie schaut nun Betsy zu beim Zeichnen ihres Meisterwerks...
And also Penny Wooden got a prominent place, Betsy introduced her to us last year… although most of us have been familiar with her for long because she's Betsy's icon. Now she's watching Betsy while drawing her masterpiece...
 

… und ich wette, sie ist genau so fasziniert wie wir, dass wir im Hauptbild der Weihnachtskarte sehen können, wie Betsy genau diese Karte zeichnet... und auch darin können wir sehen, wie Betsy an dieser Karte zeichnet... auf der wieder Betsy an genau dieser Karte zeichnet. Ist das nicht unglaublich??? Betsys Karten sind wirklich in JEDER Hinsicht Meisterwerke!

Isn't this incredible??? Betsy's cards are for sure masterpieces in EVERY way!

 

Hat man eigentlich ein bisschen gemerkt, wie riesig wir uns über dieses Überraschungsgeschenk gefreut haben??? Und dabei war das noch nicht alles... denn da gab es auch noch diese Dose.

But I wonder… have you been able to notice how much we're over the moon with this surprise gift??? But this wasn't all yet… because there was also this box included.

Einer von Betsys legendären Fliederzweigen!!! Nur für uns!!! Wir sind total aus dem Häuschen!!! Wir haben mal eine Nahaufnahme versucht, um Euch zu zeigen, wie toll die Schattierung der Fliederblüten und -blätter ist.

Dearest Betsy, thank you so much for making our day with your wonderful, fantastic, awesome and thoughtful gifts - but even more for the gift of friendship. Oh, and not to forget… of course also for sending home that certain package box. *teehee*

2. Advent

Hallo,

 

so, nun haben wir schon den 2. Advent zu fassen - also ehrlich... die Zeit verfliegt im Advent doch noch schneller als im übrigen Jahr, oder? Um so wichtiger ist es jedoch, dass man sich Zeit nimmt für die wirklich wichtigen Dinge - zum Beispiel einen schönen gemütlichen Adventssonntagskaffeeklatsch. *schmunzel*
… okay, now we're already facing Advent 2nd - honestly… time does fly even faster during Advent than it already does in the rest of the year, doesn't it? So it's even more important to take time for the really important things - like for example a nice and cozy Adventsunday-"Kaffeeklatsch". *smile*

 

Und da wir auch heute wieder viel zu Zeigen und zu Berichten haben, empfiehlt es sich erneut, einen Pott Kaffee oder Tee zur Hand zu  haben. Oder auch zwei - schönen Gruß an Betsy und Ulrike! *zwinker* Und da wir nun schon den 2. Advent haben, beginnen wir erst einmal mit den Geschenken, die wir von unserer lieben Ilona zum 1. Advent bekommen haben. Schaut mal: Die Erdbeere meiner Träume!!!!!!!!!!!!! Juhuuuuuuu!!!!!!!

Okay, die Art meiner Freude änderte sich ein wenig, nachdem meine kleine Schwester laut anfing zu lachen und mir dann klar wurde, dass das keine Erdbeere zum Essen ist. Wäre ja auch zu schön gewesen... *seufz* Aber auch wenn diese Erdbeere zwar rot aber weder süß noch saftig noch aromatisch ist, hat sie mich total begeistert... und nicht nur mich:
Okay, the kind of my joy was changing a bit after my little sis' startet to laugh out loud which made me realize that this was no strawberry meant to be eaten. My, it would have been a dream come true… *sigh* But although this strawberry is apart from being red neither sweet nor juicy nor aromatic I'm totally over the moon with it... and I'm not the only one:

 

Unseren Vorschlag, daraus ein BiWuBärchen-Zelt für Gartenparties zu machen fand Birgit merkwürdigerweise nicht so toll... Aber nun hat sie immer einen Einkaufsbeutel dabei, wenn sie zum Beispiel nächstes Jahr spontan süße, rote, saftige, aromatische Früchte für ein gewisses Flatterbärchen einkaufen will. *freu* Und einen schönen Bärenstoff, einen roten Mini-Mohair, hat Birgit auch noch bekommen.
But strange, Birgit didn't like our suggestion to turn this into a BiWuBear tent for garden parties very much… But now she will always have a shopping bag at hand when for example next year she's spontaneously buying sweet, red, juicy, aromatic fruits for a certain flutterybeary. *beams-with-joy* And Birgit also got a lovely bear making fabric too, a red mini mohair.

 

Mal sehen, was daraus wird... bisher ist unser Sabienchen ja das einzige echte BiWuBärchen, das aus Mohair genadelt wurde. Und noch etwas hat Ilona uns geschickt, den traditionellen niederländischen Gruß zu Sinterklaas - diesmal mit Geschmack und ohne bärsonalisierte Buchstaben, dafür mit einem "S" für Sinterklaas.
We'll see what is going to become out of this… so far our Sabienchen is the only real BiWuBeary that was sewn from mohair. But Ilona sent us yet something else, the traditional Dutch greeting for Sinterklaas (in Germany we celebrate St. Nicholas Day too, but on December 6th and differently than our neighbors from the Netherlands). This time the chocolate came with flavor and without bearsonal letters but with a "S" for Sinterklaas.
 

 

Ich muss leider gestehen, dass dieses Geschenk gewisse Nebenwirkungen hatte... Das Problem war natürlich, dass bei der einen Packung die Hausregel an ihre Grenzen stieß - Ihr wisst schon: Ist es pink, gehört es Rosey, ist es rot und/oder mit Erdbeeren, gehört es mir. Wir mussten das dann leider... äh... ausdiskutieren, denn Rosey wollte einfach nicht verstehen, dass die Schokolade nun mal Erdbeergeschmack hat und dass ich als älterer Bruder in solchen Fällen die größeren Rechte habe. Birgit rief dann aber aus dem Hintergrund, sie würde gleich den Weihnachtsmann kontakten zwecks gemeinsamer Aspirin-Großbestellung und Besprechung der Sachlage "Goldenes Buch"... *schluck*!  Hat sie dann aber doch nicht gemacht sondern uns stattdessen vorgeschlagen, dass wir es ja vielleicht auch mal mit Teilen versuchen könnten... öh... hmmmm… nun ja... warum nicht mal in der Vorweihnachtszeit etwas Neues ausprobieren? *breitgrins*
I'm ashamed having to admit that these gifts caused some side effects… The problem was of course that one of the packages made the house rule not work anymore - you know by now: If it's pink, it belongs to Rosey, if it's red and/or with strawberries it belongs to me. Well, sadly we had to… eh... discuss this because Rosey did not want to understand that this chocolate actually has strawberry flavor and that I being the older brother have the main rights in cases like these. But then Birgit was shouting from the background she would contact Santa now to talk about placing a huge Aspirin-order together and even more about the status quo in the "Golden Book"... *gulp*! Luckily she changed her mind and suggested instead that we might try to share for a change… eh... hmmmmm… well… why not try something new during Christmas season? *broadgrin*

 

Wenigstens gab es keinen Diskussionsbedarf bei den Geschenken, die Birgit für den Adventskalender der stillen Blogleserin gemacht hat - und von denen wir einige zeigen möchten. Weil die stille Blogleserin - auch bekannt als Birgits Mama oder als unsere Oma - nicht nur Schneemänner liebt sondern auch alles was leuchtet, bekam sie von Birgit ein beleuchtetes Weihnachtshaus.
At least there was no need for discussions regarding the gifts that Birgit made for the Advent calendar of the silent blog reader - we would like to show some of them here. Because the silent blog reader - aka Birgit's Mom aka our Granny - does not only love snowmen but also everything with lights Birgit gave to her a lighted Christmas house.

Und weil ein beleuchtetes Haus schön ist, zwei beleuchtete Häuser aber noch schöner, hat Birgit noch ein 2. gemacht - diesmal für draußen und mit Hilfe eines Bausatzes von Playmobil.
And because one lighted house is nice but two lighted houses are even nicer Birgit also made a 2nd one - this time fit for outdoor use and with the help of a kit by Playmobil.

… die Birgit aber noch übergepinselt hat, weil ihr die Originalfarbe zu orange war und die Balken zu sehr nach Plastik aussahen. Hier auf dem Bild seht Ihr rechts das Original und links das Resultat nach einer Begegnung mit Birgits Pinseln.
… which got a coat of paint from Birgit because she considered the original color looking much too orange and the beams much too plastic. Here in the picture you can see the original in the right and in the left the result after meeting Birgit's brushes.

 

Und fertig sieht das dann so aus - mit dezenter Deko, denn es ist ja für draußen gedacht.
And in the end it looks like this - with just a little touch of decoration because it's meant to go outside.

 

Und die stille Blogleserin hat noch einen weiteren Schneemann bekommen... schön staubgeschützt in einem Glasdom.
And the silent blog reader received yet another snowman... very well protected from dust under a glass dome.

Aber weil selbst für einen Schneemannfan wie die stille Blogleserin hin und wieder ein wenig Abwechslung schön ist, gab es noch Szenen zum Wechseln. Für jede Jahreszeit eine:

Und jede Jahreszeit hat ja ihren eigenen Reiz... beim Winter ist es natürlich eindeutig die schöne Weihnachtszeit. Und zur Weihnachtszeit gehört ja nun auch untrennbar unser BiWuBären-Weihnachtsmarkt. Wobei mir gerade so der Gedanke kommt... wenn es Pluspunkte im Goldenen Buch geben würde für besonders gelungene Themenüberleitungen, dann könnte ich jetzt einige für mich verbuchen. *kicher* Brauchen könnte ich sie dringend... ach... immer diese Ungewissheit... ich meine, sieht der Weihnachtsmann wirklich alles... also echt ALLES? Jede einzelne Bärchenpfote, die sich heimlich in die Keksdose bewegt? Dann bin ich verloren... *schwitz*… äh... wo war ich... ach ja... Weihnachtsmarkt.
Well, every season has of course its own charm… for winter it's for sure the wonderful Christmas time. And to Christmas time belongs without any doubt our BiWuBeary Christmas Market. Which makes me wonder… if it would bring me good points in the Golden Book when coming along with very well made bridges to new topics I should have earned me some now. *giggle* I could really need them… my… always this uncertainty… see, does Santa really see everything… I mean EVERYTHING? Every single beary paw secretly diving into the cookie jar? In this case I'd be doomed… *pant*… eh... where was I... oh yes… Christmas Market.

Als erfahrene Blogbärchen haben Rosey und ich wieder Fotos von den Buden vor der offiziellen Eröffnung gemacht und beginnen unseren kleinen Rundgang mit der Glashütte.
Being experienced blogbearies Rosey and I remembered to take pictures of the stalls before the official opening and we're starting our little tour with the "Glashütte" (= glass booth in English. But there's a little word joke in it because "Glashütte" is the German word for a workshop where glass is produced and blown while "Hütte" is an expression also being used for such a booth/stall).

Wie viele Weihnachtstraditionen haben auch die Glasornamente für den Weihnachtsbaum ihren Ursprung in Deutschland, genauer gesagt in Thüringen, wo die Stadt Lauscha bis heute Synonym für exquisiten Glasschmuck ist. Mitte des 19. Jahrhunderts fingen die thüringischen Glasbläser an, ihre Kugeln auch zu verkaufen und schon 1880 importierte ein gewisser Mr. Woolworth die ersten Christbaumkugeln in die USA.
As many Christmas traditions glass ornaments for the Christmas tree have their origin in Germany, to be exact in Thuringia where the city of Lauscha is a synonym for exquisite glass decoration until today. In the middle of the 19th century the glass blowers of Thuringia started to sell their baubles and already in 1880 a certain Mr. Woolworth imported the first Christmas baubles to the USA.

Die nächste Bude unseres Weihnachtsmarktes ist die "Weihnachtsbäckerei" - und dazu muss ich ja nicht viel erzählen. ;O)
The next booth at our Christmas Market is the "Weihnachtsbäckerei" (= Christmas Bakery) - somehow self-explaining, I suppose. ;O)

Wie Ihr Euch denken könnt, ist das eine der beliebtesten Buden auf unserem Markt. *grins*
I bet you won't be too surprised to learn that this is one of the most beloved stalls of our market. *grin*

Dasselbe gilt für den "Zuckerbäcker" - süße Versuchungen gehören zur Weihnachtszeit ja einfach dazu.
It's the same about the "Zuckerbäcker" (= candy maker) - sweet treats are a real must have at Christmas time.

Und viele kennen ja schon den kleinen Gag, den Birgit hier eingearbeitet hat - in ihrer Familie ist nämlich das braune Lakritzkonfekt total beliebt. Das kann Birgit zwar gar nicht nachvollziehen, aber es wird hier trotzdem sortenrein in großer Menge angeboten. *schmunzel*
And many of you already know the little gag Birgit has included here - many in her family are totally crazy about the brown licorice confect. Birgit is in fact none of them nevertheless this sort of candy is offered here in a large quantity. *smile*

Die letzte Bude für heute ist die "Erzgebirgische Holzkunst". Viele traditionelle weihnachtliche Holzdekorationen wie Schwibbögen und Weihnachtspyramiden haben ja ihren Ursprung im Erzgebirge.
The last booth for today is the "Erzgebirgische Holzkunst" (= wood art from the Ore Mountains). Many traditional wooden Christmas decorations like "Schwibbögen" and Christmas pyramids have their origin in the Ore Mountains, a region in Saxony with the city of Seiffen as its center which is a synonym for traditional wooden folk art of high quality. Miners of the Ore Mountains tried to earn their living with wood art after losing their jobs when the ore mines weren't profitable any more. The church of Seiffen is one of the most replicated churches because it's a very common motif in Schwibbögen and other Christmas ornaments - many other motifs refer to the miners. Even the very famous Christmas treat "Dresdner Stollen" from Saxony's capital Dresden refers to the miners' tradition because a "Stollen" is our word for an adit / underground mine.

Ohne jeden Zweifel die Lieblingsbude von unserem Sabienchen *grins*. Wir wetten ja schon lange nicht mehr, ob sie denn nun dieses Jahr endlich ihr Taschengeld gegen ein schönes Holzobjekt eintauschen wird... aber der immer sehr geduldige Verkäuferbär hat seiner treuesten Besucherin (Kundin kann man ja nicht sagen *lach*) extra wieder einen Hocker hingestellt. Wir schreiben hier auf dem BiWuBären-Weihnachtsmarkt Service mit ganz großem "S"! *zwinker*
Without any doubt this is the most favorite booth of our Sabienchen *grin* We gave up long ago placing bets about whether or not she would finally spend her money to buy a beautiful wooden piece… but the very patient sales bear placed once more a stool for his most faithful visitor (well, you can't call her a customer after all *LOL*). Yes, we're writing service with a big "S" here at the BiWuBeary Christmas Market! *wink* (And this is a joke that only works in German - because we're writing nouns with a big first letter anyway)

Und das war's für heute - die übrigen Buden zeigen wir Euch dann am 3. Advent. Ihr wisst ja - Advent bedeutet "Ankunft" und hat viel mit Warten zu tun... Allerdings müssen wir nun nicht mehr darauf warten, dass wir die 2. Kerze am Adventskranz anzünden dürfen.
And this is all for today - we're going to show the other stalls to you at Advent 3rd. You know by now - "Advent" means coming or arrival and has a lot to do with waiting and anticipating… However we don't have to wait any longer now for permission to lit the second candle at the Advent wreath.

Auch auf dem Weihnachtsmarkt leuchtet am Karren der Hexentürmer nun schon die 2. Kerze mit magischem grünen Feuer.
And also at the Christmas Market at the sales cart of our Witch Tower Crew the second candle is already shining with magical green fire.

Höchste Zeit also für einen schönen gemütlichen Adventssonntagsnachmittagskaffeeklatsch - Rosey, Abby, Wuff und ich sind bereit und wünschen auch Euch nachher ganz viel Spaß mit ein, zwei Tässchen leckerem Adventssonntagsnachmittagskaffee und ein, zwei, drei, vier Stückchen oberleckerem Adventssonntagsnachmittagskuchen.
