so, nun haben wir schon den 2. Advent zu fassen - also ehrlich... die Zeit verfliegt im Advent doch noch schneller als im übrigen Jahr, oder? Um so wichtiger ist es jedoch, dass man sich Zeit nimmt für die wirklich wichtigen Dinge - zum Beispiel einen schönen gemütlichen Adventssonntagskaffeeklatsch. *schmunzel*
… okay, now we're already facing Advent 2nd - honestly… time does fly even faster during Advent than it already does in the rest of the year, doesn't it? So it's even more important to take time for the really important things - like for example a nice and cozy Adventsunday-"Kaffeeklatsch". *smile*

Okay, die Art meiner Freude änderte sich ein wenig, nachdem meine kleine Schwester laut anfing zu lachen und mir dann klar wurde, dass das keine Erdbeere zum Essen ist. Unseren Vorschlag, daraus ein BiWuBärchen-Zelt für Gartenparties zu machen fand Birgit merkwürdigerweise nicht so toll... Aber nun hat sie immer einen Einkaufsbeutel dabei, wenn sie zum Beispiel nächstes Jahr spontan süße, rote, saftige, aromatische Früchte für ein gewisses Flatterbärchen einkaufen will. *freu* Und einen schönen Bärenstoff, einen roten Mini-Mohair, hat Birgit auch noch bekommen.

Mal sehen, was daraus wird... bisher ist unser Sabienchen ja das einzige echte BiWuBärchen, das aus Mohair genadelt wurde. Und noch etwas hat Ilona uns geschickt, den traditionellen niederländischen Gruß zu Sinterklaas - diesmal mit Geschmack und ohne bärsonalisierte Buchstaben, dafür mit einem "S" für Sinterklaas.

Ich muss leider gestehen, dass dieses Geschenk gewisse Nebenwirkungen hatte... Das Problem war natürlich, dass bei der einen Packung die Hausregel an ihre Grenzen stieß - Ihr wisst schon: Ist es pink, gehört es Rosey, ist es rot und/oder mit Erdbeeren, gehört es mir. Wir mussten das dann leider... äh... ausdiskutieren, denn Rosey wollte einfach nicht verstehen, dass die Schokolade nun mal Erdbeergeschmack hat und dass ich als älterer Bruder in solchen Fällen die größeren Rechte habe. Birgit rief dann aber aus dem Hintergrund, sie würde gleich den Weihnachtsmann kontakten zwecks gemeinsamer Aspirin-Großbestellung und Besprechung der Sachlage "Goldenes Buch"... *schluck*! Hat sie dann aber doch nicht gemacht sondern uns stattdessen vorgeschlagen, dass wir es ja vielleicht auch mal mit Teilen versuchen könnten... öh... hmmmm… nun ja... warum nicht mal in der Vorweihnachtszeit etwas Neues ausprobieren? *breitgrins*

Wenigstens gab es keinen Diskussionsbedarf bei den Geschenken, die Birgit für den Adventskalender der stillen Blogleserin gemacht hat - und von denen wir einige zeigen möchten. Weil die stille Blogleserin - auch bekannt als Birgits Mama oder als unsere Oma - nicht nur Schneemänner liebt sondern auch alles was leuchtet, bekam sie von Birgit ein beleuchtetes Weihnachtshaus.

Wobei mir gerade so der Gedanke kommt... wenn es Pluspunkte im Goldenen Buch geben würde für besonders gelungene Themenüberleitungen, dann könnte ich jetzt einige für mich verbuchen. *kicher* Brauchen könnte ich sie dringend... ach... immer diese Ungewissheit... ich meine, sieht der Weihnachtsmann wirklich alles... also echt ALLES? Jede einzelne Bärchenpfote, die sich heimlich in die Keksdose bewegt? Dann bin ich verloren... *schwitz*… äh... wo war ich... ach ja... Weihnachtsmarkt.

Which makes me wonder… if it would bring me good points in the Golden Book when coming along with very well made bridges to new topics I should have earned me some now. *giggle* I could really need them… my… always this uncertainty… see, does Santa really see everything… I mean EVERYTHING? Every single beary paw secretly diving into the cookie jar? In this case I'd be doomed… *pant*… eh... where was I... oh yes… Christmas Market.
Als erfahrene Blogbärchen haben Rosey und ich wieder Fotos von den Buden vor der offiziellen Eröffnung gemacht und beginnen unseren kleinen Rundgang mit der Glashütte.
Being experienced blogbearies Rosey and I remembered to take pictures of the stalls before the official opening and we're starting our little tour with the "Glashütte" (= glass booth in English. But there's a little word joke in it because "Glashütte" is the German word for a workshop where glass is produced and blown while "Hütte" is an expression also being used for such a booth/stall).
Wie viele Weihnachtstraditionen haben auch die Glasornamente für den Weihnachtsbaum ihren Ursprung in Deutschland, genauer gesagt in Thüringen, wo die Stadt Lauscha bis heute Synonym für exquisiten Glasschmuck ist. Mitte des 19. Jahrhunderts fingen die thüringischen Glasbläser an, ihre Kugeln auch zu verkaufen und schon 1880 importierte ein gewisser Mr. Woolworth die ersten Christbaumkugeln in die USA.
As many Christmas traditions glass ornaments for the Christmas tree have their origin in Germany, to be exact in Thuringia where the city of Lauscha is a synonym for exquisite glass decoration until today. In the middle of the 19th century the glass blowers of Thuringia started to sell their baubles and already in 1880 a certain Mr. Woolworth imported the first Christmas baubles to the USA.

Und viele kennen ja schon den kleinen Gag, den Birgit hier eingearbeitet hat - in ihrer Familie ist nämlich das braune Lakritzkonfekt total beliebt. Das kann Birgit zwar gar nicht nachvollziehen, aber es wird hier trotzdem sortenrein in großer Menge angeboten. *schmunzel*

Die letzte Bude für heute ist die "Erzgebirgische Holzkunst". Viele traditionelle weihnachtliche Holzdekorationen wie Schwibbögen und Weihnachtspyramiden haben ja ihren Ursprung im Erzgebirge.
The last booth for today is the "Erzgebirgische Holzkunst" (= wood art from the Ore Mountains). Many traditional wooden Christmas decorations like "Schwibbögen" and Christmas pyramids have their origin in the Ore Mountains, a region in Saxony with the city of Seiffen as its center which is a synonym for traditional wooden folk art of high quality. Miners of the Ore Mountains tried to earn their living with wood art after losing their jobs when the ore mines weren't profitable any more. The church of Seiffen is one of the most replicated churches because it's a very common motif in Schwibbögen and other Christmas ornaments - many other motifs refer to the miners. Even the very famous Christmas treat "Dresdner Stollen" from Saxony's capital Dresden refers to the miners' tradition because a "Stollen" is our word for an adit / underground mine.
Ohne jeden Zweifel die Lieblingsbude von unserem Sabienchen *grins*. Wir wetten ja schon lange nicht mehr, ob sie denn nun dieses Jahr endlich ihr Taschengeld gegen ein schönes Holzobjekt eintauschen wird... aber der immer sehr geduldige Verkäuferbär hat seiner treuesten Besucherin (Kundin kann man ja nicht sagen *lach*) extra wieder einen Hocker hingestellt. Without any doubt this is the most favorite booth of our Sabienchen *grin* We gave up long ago placing bets about whether or not she would finally spend her money to buy a beautiful wooden piece… but the very patient sales bear placed once more a stool for his most faithful visitor (well, you can't call her a customer after all *LOL*). Yes, we're writing service with a big "S" here at the BiWuBeary Christmas Market! *wink* (And this is a joke that only works in German - because we're writing nouns with a big first letter anyway)

Wir wetten ja schon lange nicht mehr, ob sie denn nun dieses Jahr endlich ihr Taschengeld gegen ein schönes Holzobjekt eintauschen wird... aber der immer sehr geduldige Verkäuferbär hat seiner treuesten Besucherin (Kundin kann man ja nicht sagen *lach*) extra wieder einen Hocker hingestellt. Wir schreiben hier auf dem BiWuBären-Weihnachtsmarkt Service mit ganz großem "S"! *zwinker*
Without any doubt this is the most favorite booth of our Sabienchen *grin* We gave up long ago placing bets about whether or not she would finally spend her money to buy a beautiful wooden piece… but the very patient sales bear placed once more a stool for his most faithful visitor (well, you can't call her a customer after all *LOL*). Yes, we're writing service with a big "S" here at the BiWuBeary Christmas Market! *wink* (And this is a joke that only works in German - because we're writing nouns with a big first letter anyway)
Und das war's für heute - die übrigen Buden zeigen wir Euch dann am 3. Advent. Ihr wisst ja - Advent bedeutet "Ankunft" und hat viel mit Warten zu tun... Allerdings müssen wir nun nicht mehr darauf warten, dass wir die 2. Kerze am Adventskranz anzünden dürfen.
And this is all for today - we're going to show the other stalls to you at Advent 3rd. You know by now - "Advent" means coming or arrival and has a lot to do with waiting and anticipating… However we don't have to wait any longer now for permission to lit the second candle at the Advent wreath.
Auch auf dem Weihnachtsmarkt leuchtet am Karren der Hexentürmer nun schon die 2. Kerze mit magischem grünen Feuer.
And also at the Christmas Market at the sales cart of our Witch Tower Crew the second candle is already shining with magical green fire.
Höchste Zeit also für einen schönen gemütlichen Adventssonntagsnachmittagskaffeeklatsch - Rosey, Abby, Wuff und ich sind bereit und wünschen auch Euch nachher ganz viel Spaß mit ein, zwei Tässchen leckerem Adventssonntagsnachmittagskaffee und ein, zwei, drei, vier Stückchen oberleckerem Adventssonntagsnachmittagskuchen.

Birgit, I absolutely love your miniature Christmas Market! Do you put it out every year, and do you still add new pieces to it? Such a wonderful idea.
Also heute habe ich auf das Käffchen beim Lesen verzichtet. Es war schon reichlich Kaffee heute und leckerer Marzipanstollen... ;0)
Die kleinen Szenen für die Glashaube sind ja eine tolle Idee. Für jede Jahreszeit passend. Da wird sich die stille Blogleserin aber sehr gefreut haben und über die reizenden Häuschen sowieso. Total schön! Der Weihnachtsmarkt ist auch wieder ein Träumchen. Da wir es heute nicht zum Weihnachtsmarkt geschafft haben stelle ich mich doch gleich mal wegen des braunen Lakritzkonfekts an. Das sind ja genau die, die ich immer aus der großen Tüte des namenhaften Hersteller als erstes raus fische. Leider sind da ja immer nur so wenig drin.
Ich wünsche euch einen schönen 2. Advent und immer schön teilen ihr Naschbärchen.

Que bonitos los tres puestos del mercado navideño! Aunque los visitaría todos,todos,seguro que en el del regaliz marrón,me quedaría un buen rato más,es tan delicioso!!!

No wonder Advent time is something to look forward to and enjoy the precious gifts received, especially when they come from beloved friends.
The Christmas market is growing every year. It is good that each booth serves different goodies and my favorite too is the "Weihnachts Buckerel". Wow! If only I could shrink myself, I'd have a feast. (Better not to think about my thighs.)

Oh my, I thought it wouldn't be that difficult for this time, to give each of you two a tasty (read: colored) chocolate letter from Sankt Niklaus.... mmm, I see it was (again) hard to make a choice for both of two....;O??!! I'm glad Birgit has solved this problem very well.
The gift from Birgit to her Mom is beautiful, she created such an adorable lighted Christmas House, I bet her Mom will be over the moon with it. What a find to create a Christmas House for her Mom out of a Playmobil Kit, it turned out wonderfully! Your house must be, indoors and outdoors, a feast for the eyes with these festive days nowadays and easy to find in these dark times!
Your Birgit is such an inventive woman, for creating a mini scene for every season of the year, her Mom will be so happy to receive them.
Than what to say about your gorgeous Christmas Market.....every time/every year I still see along new things. It's kind of you that you guide us once more over this special market, Fluby, you did a very good job (maybe some extra points for you...;O?).
It must have been a very cosy Sunday Kaffeeklatsch for all of you, including for the Witch Tower Crew.

Dear Fluby and Rosey and Especially Birgit(!), I am so so late to comment this week... it has been impossibly busy with work and nasty weather and all those sorts of challenges... and only a minute or two for reading blogs... and none for commenting! A slip of paper in my mailbox on Wednesday brought lots of cheer, and means I will be scurrying to the Post Office tomorrow morning to pick up the box from Germany!!!! :):) I still have not started the Christmas card, except for the millions of ideas swirling untamed in my brain.... they will settle into place soon I hope! But I wanted to say how BUSY Birgit has been with her paintbrushes and playmobil and all those other kits, adding the perfect Birgit decorations that make such Wonderful minis!!! And as always, I am loving the tour of the Christmas Market leading up to Christmas... because I can't be there myself, it is the next best thing to have a Bearsonal Tour showing all the details up close with great explanations! Maybe someday I will make a mini mini Christmas Market for Pollyanna.... *sigh*.... did I just say that? Help...!!... one more tiny project on my list! LOL! Well, I can't even begin to say how much I enjoy your posts... and I even made my sister "suffer" through a visit to meeting "Mr. T" in the previous post.... (she suffered terribly...:)) I was just needing to tell her how Awesome Birgit's creations are.. but she knows that already! :):) I am so late to comment... next Advent Sunday is right around the corner!
