"The Amazing Spiderfant"

 Hallo

Vergesst Spidey, hier kommt "The Amazing Spiderfant":
... and welcome to a post which could as well have been entitled with "Noah needs an aspirine, please". *LOL* Hopefully you're already a bit curious by now... and perhaps you're also looking forward to our annual hidden object game "Where is Rosey?". But we start with our super hero without a cape but with a trunk. Forget about Spidey, here comes "The Amazing Spiderfant":

Habt Ihr so etwas schon mal gesehen? Ein Elefant, der eine Wand hochgeht? Oder wahlweise an einer Bärchenpfote schwebt?
Have you ever seen anything like this before? An elephant walking up a wall? Or optionally floating on a beary's paw?

Okay, by now it's pretty clear for every BiWuBeary Connaisseur that this is all about magnetism because it's well known that my little sis' has a magnet in her paw and I have none. But instead of this I have wings... phhhh... who would ever need a magnetic paw when one can have wings... eh... where was I... oh yes... magnetism. This tiny elephant is from a set by Playmobil which is sadly not produced anymore, these were so called micro toy sets where all elements had magnets included and which were also meant as toys for Playmobil figurines. And what's good for Playmos often works well in scale 1:12 too. Anyhow, Birgit had this set "Noah's ark" in the Beary House since its beginnings and she did not want to miss it after the makeover. Well, it kind of fits well with the maritime theme. *grin* But Birgit will never miss the original colour of the ark...

... so she took her brushes and painted not only the ark new but also a piece of magnet foil which hopefully looks like a play carpet for the ark set now holding all figurines well and steady at their places.

*breitgrins*
And, do you have an idea by now why Noah wouldn't say no to an aspirine? *broadgrin*

Looks like they're in need of some more talk before the ark can set to sea... but somehow they seem to have solved this issue in some way because... lions exist until today. *giggle* And Birgit too solved a few issues - to be more exact *drumroll* by now she is done with decorating the whole Beary House! As the ark might already suggest we're starting at the top with a tour through the finished Beary House. But before we will show you how the play room is looking now we still need to introduce a few pieces which we haven't shown yet or which are even new. Let's continue with more animals... in the old play room there were already some miniature animals made by Shirley Scheibehenne. No question at all that these would stay in the renovated play room... but there's one new arrival... could you gess which cutie is the new one?

War nicht schwer, oder?
This was an easy one, wasn't it?

Birgit could not resist this cute mine whale - just look at that water fountain. We placed a cent next to it to show the scale - it's incredible, but all these mini critters are completely hand sewn. Birgit says she has no idea how Shirley would manage to do so, for her it was already enough to sew and turn around the ears of a new BiWuBeary... *LOL* And most of the things shown in the next picture had also been in the old room before...

The only things being added were the horse Rosey is holding (which may be quite familiar for some of you *wink*), the drawing pad (a gift from Faby) and the dragon boat, a cheap miniature out of Birgit's Sometime-for-Somewhat-boxes which received a little makeover still and matches now very well. Not only with the Playmobil boxes which were already there but also because here in Northern Germany we do have quite a viking history... which is impressively proven by "Haithabu" and the "Danewerk" which have been declared World Heritage by the UNESCO in the meantime. And here are some more miniatures which Birgit wants to use in the play room:

The rug was a gift from Alex, the stacking game (held by Rosey) was a gift from Tatiana. The dollie was a gift from Drora as well as the beautiful strelitzias. Birgit planted them into a special pot by Playmobil. This is the miniature of a pot by Lechuza, a German brand specialised on premium pots including a watering system. And Lechuza is part of the Geobra Brandstätter company... with their most well known and important brand being Playmobil - this way the pot is in fact an original. *smile* Laptop and the Toblerone chocolate were already in the old room, the globe and the alarm clock (by Playmobil) were added as well as the two cups (painted metal charms). Another piece dedicated to the play room is one of Birgit's house scenes.

These were selling extremely well back then when Birgit still had her Etsy shop - and they came along in different versions. (And if anybody should wonder now - there's no re-opening in sight! Birgit is stil very happy without the stress this shop meant and with being able to concentrate only on her own projects now)

*grins*
And of course another reference to Birgit could not be missed in the Beary House... As you know... maritime theme and so on... So it was pretty clear that we needed to honor the most famous wearer of a sailor suit. *grin*

We've often mentioned before that Birgit is a lover of comic books and her favourites are the Duck-comics by Carl Barks and Don Rosa. But there's another connection because Birgit was born in our Capital Kiel. And because during the German Empire (Second Reich) all sailor suits for the German navy were made in Kiel they are often referred to as "Kieler Matrosen-Anzug". Anyhow, Birgit had this Donald figurine made by Bullyland since ages and now it will get a place in the Beary House. And while we're already talking about Donald Duck... already for the old Beary House Birgit had made miniature versions of all Duck-comics by Don Rosa (as published in Germany):

33 in total... and even more than in Birgit's RL shelf...

But this is just because Birgit has the books 1-6 together in a special edition. *LOL* These miniature comic books will return into the shelf together with the Disney pocket books Birgit bought years ago for the Beary House and two Beatrix Potter books given to us by Pilar. All of this together looks like this - one time with BiWuBearies...

Link zum Blog von / link to the blog of Pilar: http://miniaturasenmimundo.blogspot.com/

*lach*
... and one time without. Btw - if you'd have a closer look you might notice that the two horses made by Preiser had a date with Birgit's brushes in the meantime. One of them even changed into a Pinto! *LOL*

And because one can never have enough books Birgit also filled a suitcase on legs bought for the Beary House with loads of wonderful books we've received as gifts from Pilar, Nina, Fabiola and Carmen.

After this only one thing was left to do - the new shelf standing at the bed still needed to be filled. For this Birgit used some of the books which had their place in the living room's shelves so far. Birgit bought them many years ago when she still could not imagine it was ever possible doing this by herself and even better. These are in fact very simple - but their height was perfect for the shelf. Two books we received from Carmen were added as well as a board game box and a rubber duckie.

And in the end it looks like this - together with the gamíng table after its makeover:

Well, and that's it... if we did not forget anything you have now seen everything that will go into the renovated play room. We're going to show you the next time how all of this is looking together because now it's time for our annual BiWuBären-on-the-Blog-Special!!! As part of our *coughcough* beloved series "And once more many pictures of BiWuBearies in the garden" we're presenting today in volume 93922 our annual "Where is Rosey?"-special. Let's go, have fun trying to find her!

Und - habt Ihr sie schon entdeckt? Falls nicht... vielleicht jetzt:
And - did you spot her already? If not... maybe now:

To all of you who have found Rosey at once - Chapeau. And perhaps the others might have more luck when it's now time for "Where is Fluby?":

Seht Ihr mich??? Sonst kommt näher:
Can you see me??? Otherwise come closer:

Also - wo ist Rosey?
Did I just hear the call "Encore!!!"? Okay, you're welcome - here's another hidden object game of the easy kind. So - where is Rosey?

Das war nicht schwer, oder?
This wasn't difficult, was it?

Inzwischen ist die Pracht...
By now all this splendor...

... is sadly as good as over and sometimes it looks as if we'd had pink snow.

What you can see in the picture is nothing at all... but for photos with more pink than green the weather was too bad. And our early rhododendron "Cunningham White" too is fading away now...

But that's how it goes... so we will look forward to what's going to bloom next! For what remains of May we're wishing the best to you and take good care of yourselves!

Liebe Grüße / Hugs
Flutterby

Cuidaros mucho.
Besos.

Hallo Fluby, Rosey und Birgit!
Your Birgit always have the most odd, but genius, solutions for things, after giving things her magical touch we always be in awe what can be achieved with this ;). The same is for this Arc of Noah and the animals, which are true mini treasures. I didn't know this set, but the result is lovely, especially now the figurines can't fall of the play carpet.
I'm now still thinking where the asperine comes in sight...
Oh yes, the tiny stuffed animales of Shirley are famous, she is a master in making these, and I also had the honor to receive one from your Birgit, I still keep it in its box, as it will get a place of honor in one of my projects ;O).
But your newest purchase the little whale is gorgeous, including its spouting water fountain on his head!! Imagine of how you have to make this teeny tiny one :O!
But oh my, seeing your huge collection of toys, the tiny stuff AND All beautiful gifts of blog friends, which will go into the Beary House........won't the house be too small for all of this..maybe an extra extension *grin* ;O)??
I love the comic books Birgit made, they look wonderful and I have to remind myself to use some in the mini farm. But for now I would think you, BuWiBears have enough to read during these rainy weeks we have in May....I truly am in awe with your Book collection in mini!!
Seen the whole toy and book collection I think you, BuWiBears are truly spoiled and having Birgit as your Mom, who does spoil you even more *LOL*.
Love to play hide and seek, and to be honest I didn't found both of you rightaway, so you both are world champions in this game, hehehe. While playing hide and seek one would forget to see and admire all the splendor in your beautiful garden. And you're right: in a garden as beautiful as yours there's always somethin blooming, enjoy it to the fullest, dearies! Here, it was cold and rainy during the whole month of May, but I didn't mind, because I now have less affect of my hayfever issues. But I've heard this coming weekend the weather will change into warm and sunny: no good for me, but I'll "welcome" it for other sunlovers...
Schepje wishes all of you Happy (rest of) May, and take care for yourselves, dearies!
Liebe Grüsse, Ilona

Hello Birgit, what a wonderful collection of miniature toys you and the Buwibearies have. I love the mini comic books, the (stuffed) animals, and the boardgames and, well everything actualy. :-)

If I should choose I choose the repainted arc of Noah set. That is a great way of recycling toys with terrible original colours.

And what a joy to have so many flowers and blooms in the garden!

Hi Birgit! It is so exciting to hear that you have almost finished the play room and that we will soon get to see it all decorated and decked out with these fabulous toys, games and books! I think everyone in the neighborhood is going to be there for the grand opening and have good fun testing out all the entertainment! The scope and detail of the PlayMobile toys always delights me, especially after you have taken your brushes and artistic vision to them!
I have to admit that I had no skill in finding Rosey this time - this tree make a perfect camouflage for her! She could complete a number of special ops missions in this type of environment and would never be seen! She may just be the first BiWuBar ninja! Tell her to tell that to Fluby next time he teases her about not having any wings. 😊
Enjoy the last of the Rhodies and all the new flowers finally getting their turn! And enjoy putting the finishing touches on the play room! It's going to be fantastic!

Dear Fluby and Rosey and Birgit too, I am SOoo late to comment on this wonderful post full of treasures! I have no excuse except being busy busy busy! I confess I could not spot Rosey at all .... or Fluby even until the pictures were very close with helpful arrows!!! Boy, Rosey is a match for those Cherry blossoms! It is a shame that blossoms last for such a short time... but it makes them so special while they are there. Otherwise we would not be so amazed! Our blossoms have been way more beautiful this spring than any year I can remember... and we have been in a dry spell (until two days ago) so the blossoms were not hurried along by stormy skies and wind.
The "Amazing Spiderfant" is adorable with his new magnetic feet... and I am well aware of the wonders of Magnets in the BiWuBeary paws! The Noah's Ark make-over is perfect, and I think we are all glad that Lions made it onto the Ark! Clearly Birgit has a book collection to admire... even in RL LOL! The mini gifts from blogfriends are always treasures and filling the Playroom with them adds even more love to the space. I am amazed at the tiny stuffed whale.... WOW! So cute and so well made... even with a "spout"!!! Well, now all I can say is I can't wait to see everything in the "New" Playroom!!! :):):)

Noah isn't the only one who needs an asprin... I LOVE that Playmobil Ark now that you have upcycled it!
I had the honour of meeting Shirley Scheibehenne at the Rheda miniature show in 2019. Being a miniature bear maker myself, I have huge respect for her work.
You have an enviable collection of miniature books and toys.
Rosey with her colouring has an unfair advantage in the flowers. Fluby of course, just needs to stand close to a leaf or a stem. The pair of them are true gardenbearies.

Dear friends, I am late to comment, I read your last post and I though I wrote a comment, but clearly something happened because I did not. Now I am back to blogs after a nice but short holiday and I discovered that I have not made a comment, sorry!! I always try to write a little as I find so much joy in your blog. This time I enjoyed a lot looking for Rosey in the trees and bushes, to be honest every time couldn´t find her on my first attempt (1st photo) but did it on the 2nd try!! not too bad. About the play room, I think the renovation will be terrific, I love all the accessories and furniture that Birgit will use and I am so happy to see one little something of mine to be in that room. Can´t wait to see it finished! Until then, have a great time dear friends. xxx

Dear Fluby and Rosey,
How lucky you both are to have Birgit as your mom. I love the recycled playmobile Noa's arc and the newly purchased fur toy animals. With the games and toys, you already had and the wonderful collection of comics and books, it's good to see that you still found time to play hide and seek within the blooming trees in the garden. It was really difficult to spot you, the beautiful bunches of flowers were a fine camouflage.
Have a lovely weekend/
Hugs to you both and to Birgit.
