 Hallo,

da sind wir wieder - und ich verkneife mir jeden (und ich meine wirklich JEDEN) Kommentar über die völlig unglaubliche Tatsache, dass wir uns nun schon im August befinden. Keine Ahnung, wie das passieren konnte, schon weit mehr als die Hälfte von 2021 ist um... aber wie gesagt, heute darüber keinen Kommentar von mir, oh nein, auch wenn ich wirklich gerne wüsste, wo die bisherigen sieben Monate geblieben sind, wir fahren einfach fort mit der Vorstellung des renovierten Bärchenhauses. Nach Spiel- und Wohnzimmer zeigen wir Euch, was aus der Küche geworden ist... beginnen aber heute erst einmal mit ein paar Details von der Deko, weil sonst der Post zu lang wird. Einen ganz kleinen Vorgeschmack auf die fertige Küche sollt Ihr aber trotzdem schon einmal bekommen *grins*:

... it's us again - and I won't make any (and I mean it: NOT ANY) comment about the totally incredible fact that we're finding ourselves now already in August. I have no idea how this could ever happen, much more than half of 2021 is over already... but as I've said before, today not a single remark from me about that, no way, although I would really like to know where the previous seven months have gone to we just continue with presenting the renovated Beary House. After the play- and the living room we're going to show next what happened to the kitchen... but today we just start with some details of the dcecoration because otherwise this post would become too long. But you shall already get a teeny tiny glimpse now how the kitchen looks after its makeover *grin*:

Gerade in einer Küche kann man ja sehr viele wunderbare Dinge dekorieren - da traf es sich gut, dass Birgit viele Dinge aus der alten Küche und vor allem auch viele wunderbare Geschenke von Blogfreunden verwenden konnte. Einige ganz wenige Dinge hat Birgit neu gekauft... aber seht selbst. Beginnen wir mit dem Geschirr, das noch aus der alten Küche stammt und sich auch in der neuen Küche gut machen wird.

A kitchen is of course a place for decorating many wonderful items - so Birgit was somehow lucky being able to use many things from the old kitchen again as well as many awesome gifts from blogfriends. Birgit also bought a few new pieces... but look for yourselves now. Let's start with the dishes and glassware which were already in the old kitchen and will still look good in the new kitchen.

Auch viele Lebensmittelverpackungen konnte Birgit wieder verwenden - allerdings ergänzt um ein paar wunderbare Geschenke von Carmen.

Birgit was also able to use many food packages again - but added also some gorgeous gifts from Carmen.

A propos Carmen - das einer ihrer legendären Kalender an der Küchentür hängt, hatten wir ja schon in einem früheren Post gezeigt. Aber nun endlich wird auch Carmens ebenso legendärer Schnellkochtopf einen Ehrenplatz bekommen... genau wie einige wunderschöne Geschenke, die wir von Alex, Drora, Fabiola, Ilona und Pilar bekommen haben.

Speaking about Carmen - we've already shown in a previous post that one of her legendary calendars is hanging at the kitchen door. But finally another one of Carmen's legendary miniatures, the pressure steamer, will get a place of honor... as well as some beautiful gifts being given to us by Alex, Drora, Fabiola, Ilona and Pilar.

Von Pilar stammt auch die Box mit den Muscheln. Die Kochtöpfe von Bodo Hennig (schade, dass diese Firma nicht mehr existiert) waren bereits in der alten Küche und das Radio von Playmobil fand sich in Birgits Irgendwann-für-Irgendwas-Kisten. 

Pilar also gave the box filled with shells to us. The cooking pots by Bodo Hennig (so sad this company doesn't exist anymore) were already in the old kitchen and the radio by Playmobil was found in Birgit's Sometime-for-Somewhat-boxes.

Mit Musik geht schließlich alles besser - auch das Kochen. *lach* Aber auch Kaffee trägt dazu bei, dass alles besser flutscht und deshalb war bereits im alten Bärchenhaus natürlich auch eine Kaffeemaschine zu finden. Die will Birgit aber im Weihnachtshaus verwenden und hat deshalb für das Bärchenhaus ein neues, modernes Modell bei DollhouseDesign gekauft.

Everything goes better with a bit of music - that's also true for cooking. *LOL* But coffee too makes everything go easier and that's why already in the old Beary House there was a coffee machine. But Birgit plans to use this one in the Christmas House that's why she bought a new modern one for the Beary House from DollhouseDesign.

Ein paar Utensilien zum Kaffeekochen waren ebenfalls vorhanden und wurden ergänzt durch Geschenke von Drora (die Kekse inklusive Ständer) und Carmen (die Nescafé-Dose).

A few accessoires for making coffee were already at hand and were expanded by gifts from Drora (the cookies including the stand) and Carmen (the Nescafé jar).

Ebenfalls aus den Irgendwann-für-Irgendwas-Kisten stammt das folgende Regal, das weiß gestrichen und mit selbstgebauten Haken und einem passenden Hintergrundpapier ergänzt wurde und in Zukunft nicht nur Platz für die Kaffeetassen bieten wird...

Also out of the Sometime-for-Somewhat-boxes comes the shelf we're showing now, it was painted white, received some homemade hooks and matching background paper was added. It will now not only offer space for the coffee cups...

... sondern auch für eine kleine Sammlung von Kaffeemühlen. Das Prachtstück in der Mitte stammt von Tatiana, die beiden daneben sind Billigmodelle, die noch in Birgits Ihr-wisst-schon-Kisten lagen.

... but also for a small collection of coffee grinders. The fantastic piece in the middle was made by Tatiana, the other ones are cheap mass pieces which were found in Birgit's You-know-them-by-now-boxes.

Nach einer kleinen Überarbeitung durch Birgit dürfen nun auch die beiden Billigstücke neben Tatianas Geschenk stehen. *schmunzel*

After a little makeover by Birgit the two cheap pieces are now allowed to stand next to Tatiana's gift. *smile*

Weiter geht's... auch diese Geschenke von Nina (Korb) und Alex (Hocker) wird Birgit in der Küche verwenden...

... ebenso wie dieses Geschenk von Ilona. Dem Messingrahmen hat Birgit allerdings noch einen Silberanstrich gegönnt.

... as well as this gift from Ilona. But Birgit granted the brass frame a little touch of silver paint first.

Auch die nächsten Miniaturen mussten nicht extra gekauft werden - die beiden selbst gemachten Teelichter stehen allerdings inzwischen auf dem Esstisch im Wohnzimmer.

And there was no need to buy any of the next miniatures - however the two handmade tealights found their place at the dining table in the living room.

Auch der Papierhalter ist selbstgemacht - den Mülleimer und die Handtuchhalter hat Birgit aber extra für die Küche bei DollhouseDesign gekauft. Letztere hat Birgit dann aber noch angepinselt, damit sie besser zur Kücheneinrichtung passen - man sieht den Unterschied vorher-nachher im Bild.

The paper towel holder is handmade too - but Birgit bought the rubbish bin and the towel racks for this kitchen from DollhouseDesign. She painted the latter to make them match better to the kitchen interior - you can see the difference between before-after in the picture.

Der Eimer ist wirklich toll gemacht... und wie Ihr im nächsten Post sehen werdet, hat er die perfekte Größe für den Platz, den Birgit ihm geben wird. 

The rubbish bin is very well made... and you will see in our next post that it has the perfect size for the space Birgit is planning to place it.

In der alten Küche befanden sich bereits Handtücher, die Birgit vor Jahren gekauft hat (und nicht mehr weiß wo *kicher*), die aber immer noch perfekt zum neuen Farbkonzept passen und außerdem als Hommage an unser Bundesland eine Schwarzbunte zeigen. Die Topflappen hat Birgit bei Ann Giling gekauft - auf diese Miniaturistin ist sie durch einen Post von Jodi aufmerksam geworden... und konnte diesen filigran gehäkelten Schönheiten nicht widerstehen.

Already in the old kitchen were towels Birgit had bought years ago (and doesn't remember anymore where *giggle*) which are still matching perfectly with the new colour scheme and which on top are showing as a tribute to our home state a Holstein cow. Birgit bought the potholders from Ann Giling - a miniaturist she learned about from a post by Jodi... and couldn't resist those delicate crocheted beautuies.

Und wenn die Schwarzbunten schon auf den Handtüchern sind, dann musste natürlich auch noch eine Kuh-Deko aus Porzellan her.

And having Holstein cows printed on the towels it was somehow clear that a cow decoration made of porcelain was needed too.

Okay, nicht wirklich... das Teil hat Birgit halt so gemacht, dass es bei nicht allzu näherer Betrachtung aussieht als wäre es aus Porzellan. Immer getreu nach Birgits Motto "Man braucht auch was für den Hintergrund!" *lach*  Und damit müssten wir Euch eigentlich alles an Deko gezeigt haben, was Ihr demnächst auf den Bildern von der fertigen Bärchenhaus-Küche sehen werdet und bisher noch nicht kanntet. Für heute war's das vom Bärchenhaus, denn wir haben noch so viel anderes zu zeigen. Das Beweisfoto zum Beispiel, dass wir auch in diesem Monat unserer Birgit beim Umstellen ihrer zahlreichen Kalender geholfen haben. Für den August zeigt unser Sprüchekalender ein heiteres Foto und ein Zitat von Friedrich Hebbel: "Des Menschen Glück ist nicht an seine Kraft, sondern an seine Laune geknüpft."

Well, not really... Birgit created this piece to make it look as if it was made from porcelain as long as you don't look too close. Always honoring Birgit's motto "You also need something for the background!" *LOL* And with this we should have shown you all of the decoration which you will see at the pictures of the finished Beary House kitchen soon and which you didn't know so far. For today we're done with the Beary House because we have so much more to show still. For example the evidence photo showing that also in this month we have helped our Birgit with the update of her several calendars. For August our wisdom calendar is showing a cheerful photo and a saying by Friedrich Hebbel who pointed out that the happiness of a human being wouldn't depend on his strength or energy but on his mood.

Bei uns ist der August ja ein echter Geburtstagsmonat, deshalb war das Bild mit den Luftballons sehr passend. Und auch das Zitat passt, denn die stille Blogleserin alias unsere Oma alias Birgits Mama, die traditionell Anfang August Geburtstag hat, hatte an ihrem Ehrentag so gute Laune, dass sie richtig glücklich war. *schmunzel* Unsere langjährigen Leser erinnern sich sicher, dass die stille Blogleserin eigentlich immer ein neues BiWuBärchen zum Geburtstag bekommt, meistens in Gestalt eines Schneewesens. Dieses Mal hat sich unsere Oma aber etwas anderes von Birgit gewünscht und wir vermuten, dass Birgit da eine neue Rubrik aufmachen muss, die dann BiWuElfen heißen müsste. *grins* Nachdem die winzigen Weihnachtselfen En, To und Tre entstanden waren, hatte sich die stille Blogleserin letztes Jahr auch so einen Elf gewünscht... allerdings etwas größer. Diesen Wunsch hat Birgit in Gestalt von Lasse erfüllt. Tja, und was soll ich sagen... dieses Jahr hat die stille Blogleserin sich gewünscht, dass Lasse nicht mehr so einsam ist - und deshalb hat er wunschgemäß Verstärkung bekommen. Wir freuen uns sehr, dass wir Euch heute Einar vorstellen können - und wie man unschwer erkennen kann, ist Einar nicht irgendein Elf, sondern Lasses Papa. 

Around here August is our true birthday month that's why the picture with the balloons was a good match. And the saying matches too because the silent blogreader aka our Granny aka Birgit's Mom who is traditionally celebrating her birthday at the beginning of August was in such a good mood at her special day that she was indeed very happy. *smile* Our longtime readers might recall that usually the silent blog reader receives a new BiWuBeary for her birthday, mostly coming along in the shape of a snow being. But this time our Granny asked for something else from Birgit and we suppose Birgit should think about opening a new section which could be named BiWuElves. *grin* After the tiny Christmas Elves En, To and Tre were created the silent blogreader asked to receive such an elf too last year... but preferred hers to be bigger. Birgit granted this wish by creating Lasse. And guess what... this year the silent blogreader wished for Lasse not to be alone anymore - that's why according to her wish he got some support now. We're very happy being able to introduce you to Einar today - and as you will see at once he's not just an ordinary elf but in fact Lasse's Dad.

Rosey und ich sind ja jetzt schon gespannt, wann wir Lasses Mama kennen lernen werden und wie viele Mitglieder so eine BiWuElfen-Familie wohl hat... *grins*

Rosey and I are already anticipating when we are going to meet Lasse's Mom and to learn how many members such a BiWuElf family might have... *grin*

 

Aber die stille Blogleserin hat noch ein weiteres, selbstgemachtes Geschenk von Birgit bekommen. Der Anlass war eigentlich eine besondere Pflanzschale, die Birgit sofort fasziniert hat... und so kam eines zum anderen und das sieht am Ende so aus:

But the silent blogreader also received another handmade gift from Birgit. The reason for starting this was somehow a special planting pot which fascinated Birgit at once... so one thing came to another and in the end it looks like this:

Alles von Birgit selbst gemacht - allerdings steckt in dem Zauberbaum als Grundgerüst ein Playmobil-Baum und die Tagetes wurden mit Hilfe einer Bastelpackung von Ebe gemacht.

Everything was made by Birgit - however in the magical tree there's as a basis a tree from Playmobil and the marigold plants were made from a kit by Ebe.

Die Botschaft dahinter lässt sich natürlich leicht erkennen - wir müssen die Natur zu jeder Jahreszeit schützen. Wir in Deutschland haben die Folgen des Klimawandels ja gerade ganz brutal zu spüren bekommen und während wir das schreiben wüten bei Rekordhitze Feuerwalzen in Südeuropa. Als Gartenbesitzer können wir ja immerhin einen kleinen Beitrag zum Wohl der Natur leisten - Birgit achtet sehr auf insektenfreundliche Pflanzen. Und was gut für Insekten ist, kann für BiWuBärchen auch nicht schlecht sein... oder in anderen Worten: Herzlich Willkommen zu Folge 93925 unserer *hüstel* beliebten Reihe "Und schon wieder jede Menge Fotos von BiWuBärchen im Garten"... *grins*

It's easy to notice there's a message behind this - we need to protect nature at every season. Here in Germany we've recently been hit by climate change in the most horrible way and while we are writing this Southern Europe suffers from record heat and enormous fires are raging. Being owners of a garden we are at least able to make a small contribution to nature's sake - Birgit tries to grow insect friendly plants whenever possible. And what's good for insects can't be bad for BiWuBearies... or in other words: A cordial welcome to volume 93925 of our *coughcough* beloved series "And once more many pictures of BiWuBearies in the garden"... *grin*

Und nicht nur die kleinen Bewohner des Gartens kommen in den Genuß der Pflanzen, auch unsere Menschen haben schon reichlich geerntet... Salat, Kohlrabi, grüne Bohnen, Kartoffeln und rote, saftige, aromatische Früchte. Und Ihr habt es gemerkt... ich habe nicht "süß" gesagt... denn süß sind die wirklich nicht...

But not only the small inhabitants of our garden come to enjoy the plants, our humans too have been able to enjoy a good harvest... salad, kohlrabi (I'm still fascinated that there is no own English word for kohlrabi, we've looked it up and even asked wikipedia but just found "kohlrabi" *LOL*), green beans, potatoes and red, juicy, aromatic fruits. And you may have noticed... I didn't say "sweet"... because they're anything but sweet...

... aber oberlecker, wenn man sie als Soße über Vanilleeis zu sich nimmt. *hihi* Und unsere rote Johannisbeere hat wieder reichlich getragen - drei solche Ladungen (das auf dem folgenden Bild waren ungefähr 3 kg) hat Birgit gepflückt... von nur einem Busch.

... but really yummy when appearing in the shape of sauce over vanilla icecream. *teehee* And our red currant offered once more many fruits - Birgit was able to pick three loads like this (about 3 kg in the following picture)... from just one single shrub.

Trotzdem muss ich mal wieder ein paar Worte mit ihr wechseln in Sachen "Weg mit dem Rasen und her mit der Erdbeerplantage" - komisch, ich verstehe immer überhaupt nicht, warum Birgit von dieser Idee nicht begeistert ist. *breitgrins* Habt einen schönen August - und ganz viel gute Laune!

Nevertheless I need to have a word or two with her about the topic of "Get rid of the lawn, let's grow a strawberry plantation" - strange, I really can't understand why Birgit isn't enthousiastic about this idea. *broadgrin* We're wishing to you a wonderful August - with plenty of good mood!
