Jetzt aber... endlich Rosa! Oder???

Hallo,

 

heute will ich mal ganz hoch hinaus und habe mir extra eine Leiter besorgt. Und wer weiß - vielleicht ist das ja sogar die Karriereleiter, auf der ich gerade unaufhaltsam nach oben klettere... *lach*
... today I'm going to make it to the top and I even got me a ladder. And who knows - maybe this is the carreer ladder I'm climbing without any stopping me... *LOL*

          

              

Es kann aber natürlich auch sein, dass das in Wirklichkeit gar keine Leiter ist, wo ich gerade drauf stehe... doch... wenn ich jetzt so drüber nachdenke... dann ist es sogar viel wahrscheinlicher, dass das eigentlich mein Fensterrahmen ist. *grins*
But of course it could also be that this thing I'm standing on is no ladder at all... yes... now that I start thinking about it... it is more likely that this is actually my window frame. *grin*

         

           

Ja, Birgit hat inzwischen die Fensterrahmen und Türen von meinem zukünftigen Flower Cottage angestrichen. Ich hatte ja immer noch die stille Hoffnung, dass die vielleicht wenigstens rosa werden könnten... *seufz*... oder wenigstens blau. Nun, blau sollten sie ursprünglich auch werden, aber das musste Birgit dann ändern, denn die Wand von Birgits Wohnzimmer, wo mein Häuschen später einmal stehen wird, ist tiefblau und das passte dann alles irgendwie gar nicht. Also hat Birgit sich für eine ganz klassische Lösung entschieden und hat mich auch gleich getröstet und mir versprochen, dass sie das später mit der Deko wieder wett machen wird. Nun, was Birgit verspricht, das hält sie dann auch, obwohl sie ja immer behauptet, dass sie Rosa eigentlich nicht kann. Trotzdem hatte ich immer noch Hoffnung, dass wenigstens meine Wände im Haus rosa werden könnten... aber Birgit meinte, das wäre einfach des Guten zuviel, dann würden meine Möbel nicht mehr wirken und mich würde man davor auch nicht mehr erkennen. *seufz* Das ist alles gar nicht so einfach... vor allem, weil Birgit ja auch immer recht hat mit dem, was sie so vorschlägt... Also habe ich mich vom Gedanken an rosa Innenwände verabschiedet und Birgit hat sich einen ihrer Pinsel gegriffen und das ist dann dabei heraus gekommen:
Yes, in the meantime Birgit has painted the window frames and doors of my future Flower Cottage. I still was hoping that at least now a little pink might be involved... *sigh* or at least a little blue. Well, blue actually had been Birgit's first choice but she had to change her opinion because the wall in Birgit's livingroom where my house will find its place somewhen is painted in a deep blue and somehow this didn't match at all. So Birgit decided to go for a classical solution giving me some comfort when promising she would compensate this with the decoration later on. Well, Birgit always keeps her promises even in cases like this when pink is involved and she always claims she can't do pink. Nevertheless I still had a little hope left at least the walls in my house might become pink... but Birgit said this would be a true case of too much and my furniture and I wouldn't hardly be visible anymore. *sigh* All of this stuff isn't easy for sure... especially with Birgit who's always suggesting the right things... So I waved goodbye to my hopes of having pink interior walls and Birgit grabbed one of her brushes and in the end it looked like this:

          

         

Das wirkt hier auf dem Foto etwas heller, als es in Wirklichkeit ist. Das ist ein schöner warmer Elfenbein-Cremeton... wenn Ihr im Hinterkopf habt, dass ich ja einen weißen Körper habe und vor einem weißen Hintergrund stehe, dann kann man die Farbe schon ein bisschen besser erahnen. Und dann hat Birgit schon das Fenster eingebaut und angefangen, noch einen kleinen Hingucker anzubringen.
It looks a lot brighter at the photo as it is in reality. This is a nice warm ivory cream colour... if you keep in mind that I'm having a white body and am standing in front of a white background you might get a better impression of the real colour. And then Birgit installed the window and started to attach some little eyecatchers.

            

          

Lauter Knöpfe hat sie an die Wand geklebt, damit es auch ein bisschen besonders wird - und Birgit meinte, dass das gut zu mir passt, weil ich ja die begeisterte Bastlerin unter den BiWuBärchen bin. Ich finde das auch total lustig - vor allem, so was muss man erst mal haben... *schmunzel* Übrigens, wundert Euch bitte nicht, dass unter dem Fenster keine Knöpfe sind - da steht später der Schreibtisch, das hat Birgit alles genau geplant. Aber so sehr mir die Zierknöpfe an der Wand auch gefallen - ich konnte mir den folgenden Gag einfach nicht verkneifen...
Many buttons were glued to the wall to make it a little extra special - and Birgit said this would be perfect for me because I am the happy crafter among the BiWuBearies. I really think this is a funny idea - very unique... *smile* Btw, don't wonder why there are no buttons below the window - that's where my desktop will stand later on, Birgit has thought of everything. But as much as I like those decorative buttons at my wall - I just had to do this little joke...

Hihi, das musste einfach sein... Als Nächstes hat Birgit dann die Fensterbank noch angebracht und dann konnte ich schon mal probeweise etwas Deko darauf stellen...
Teehee, I couldn't resist... In the next step Birgit attached the window sill and I was able to put some decoration on it to get a first impression...
      

          

Ach, auf's Dekorieren freue ich mich schon total... und darauf, von meinem Schreibtisch aus beim Basteln hin und wieder aus diesem schönen Fenster zu schauen. Aber weiter geht's mit der Innengestaltung, denn bei der gegenüberliegenden Wand gab es plötzlich unerwartete Schwierigkeiten: Das Schiebefenster ließ sich nicht mehr schieben!
Ah, I'm really looking forward to that decoration business... and to looking out of my beautiful window while crafting at my worktable. But on we go to the next wall and suddenly there were some unforeseen difficulties : The sliding window refused to slide anymore!
       

         

Birgit hat alles versucht, um das wieder gangbar zu machen (da sind auch wieder einige altbabylonische Flüche gefallen, holla), aber dann hat sie aufgegeben und gemeint, dann macht sie jetzt eben aus der Not eine Tugend. Die Idee mit dem Schiebefenster direkt vor meinem Bett hat Birgit ohnehin nie besonders gefallen. Und nun hat Birgit den ganzen Fensterrahmen verkleidet, was total lange gedauert hat, weil sie alles ganz genau anpassen musste und hat eine Fensterscheibe angebracht - jetzt habe ich wenigstens ein richtiges Fenster mit Fensterbank.
Birgit tried everything to make it movable again (there were quite some curses in Old Babylonic to be heard, ooops) but then she gave up and said she would turn defeat into success now. And she had never liked the idea of having a sliding window directly next to my bed. Now Birgit covered the window frame which took a very long time and was much work because everything had to fit perfectly and she also added a window glass - now I'm having a real window with a window sill.
       

           

Und wie Ihr sehen könnt, hat Birgit auch hier gleich wieder die Deko mit angebracht - sehen die bunten Häuser nicht nett aus? Das gefällt mir schon richtig gut! Aber nun gab es noch ein kleines Problem, das gemeistert werden musste - und das hing mit meinem Regal zusammen.
And as you can see Birgit also attached the decor - those colourful houses look nice, don't they? I really like it very much so far! But there was still another small problem that needed to be solved - I'm talking about this shelf of mine.
        

       

Dieses wunderschöne Regal (von Mundorosa) hat Birgit letztes Jahr von ihren Eltern zum Geburtstag geschenkt bekommen und das war mir zugedacht. Nur - die Farbe passte leider nicht so wirklich... also hat Birgit dann schweren Herzens zu ihrem Pinsel gegriffen und das Regal weiß übergepinselt. Und alles in allem sieht die Wand nun so aus:
Birgit received this beautiful shelf (made by Mundorosa) from her parents as last year's birthday gift and dedicated it to me. But the colour didn't match anymore... so after some hesitating Birgit grabbed another brush and painted the shelf white. And now the wall looks like this:
        

           
Deko total, oder? *lach* Aber mir gefällt's... und vor allem ist das alles ganz speziell nur für mich gemacht. Und damit kommen wir dann auch schon zur nächsten und letzten Wand (Wandteil Nr. 4 besteht ja hauptsächlich aus der Tür).
Decoration to the fullest, right? *LOL* But I like it that way... and above all everything was made especially for me. And now we're getting to the last wall (because wall No. 4 consists mainly of the door).
         

            
 Diese Wand hat eine Wandvertäfelung aus Holz, die Birgit in einem schönen Lavendelton gestrichen hat, und eine Strukturtapete mit Glanz. Und wie Ihr sehen könnt, habe ich auch schon ein langes Regalbrett bekommen, das mir Platz bieten wird für gaaaaaaanz viel Deko! *freu* Also... auch wenn es nicht rosa geworden ist, aber mir gefällt's! Und Birgit hat schon recht - so wirken meine Deko und ich viel, viel besser. Ach ja, ich bin halt das glücklichste Blumenbärchen auf der ganzen weiten Welt! ;O)
This wall has a wood panel painted by Birgit in a nice lavender tone and a wallpaper with structure and shimmer. And as you can see I also got a long shelf offering many space for loads of decoration stuff! *beamswithjoy* So, although it didn't turn out pink I still like it very much! And Birgit is right about it - my decoration and I will be seen way much better now. Oh my, I am for sure the most happiest flower beary in the whole wide world! ;O)

Kaffeeklatsch (Nr. 198)

Hallo,

 

und schon ist wieder Sonntag - und damit Zeit für einen neuen Kaffeeklatsch. Aber nicht für irgendeinen Kaffeeklatsch - sondern Zeit für MEINEN Kaffeeklatsch! *lach* Ich freue mich sehr, dass ich heute wieder einmal einen Kaffeeklatsch präsentieren darf - und für alle, die mich nicht so genau kennen, weil ich hier auf dem Blog ja eher selten auftauche: Mein Name ist Sally! Ich bin eines von Birgits allerersten eigenen BiWuBärchen, was man vielleicht auch etwas merkt, denn damals hat Birgit noch ein bisschen experimentiert... in meinem Fall mit einer kleineren Augengröße. Naja, alle anderen BiWuBärchen haben nun etwas größere Augen, aber ich kann mit meinen winzigen Augen auch ganz gut leben... ;O)

... and yet another Sunday - and time for yet another "Kaffeeklatsch". But not just some "Kaffeeklatsch" - no, it's time for MY "Kaffeeklatsch"! *LOL* I'm really happy being your host of today's "Kaffeeklatsch" once more - and for all of you who might not know me that well because I'm not appearing very often here on our blog: My name is Sally! I'm one of Birgit's first BiWuBearies which you might recognize somehow because in these days Birgit was still experimenting... in my case with a smaller eye size. Well, all the other BiWuBearies have bigger eyes since then, but I have no problems to live with my tiny eyes... ;O)

           

         

Eine Woche noch und dann haben wir Ostern! Geht Euch das auch so - irgendwie schien Ostern immer noch so weit weg zu sein und nun ist es mit Riesenschritten heran gekommen. Bestimmt sind alle Osterhasen schon ordentlich im Stress mit den Last-Minute-Vorbereitungen. Da empfiehlt sich in jedem Fall, den Sonntag schön zu genießen und ein bisschen zu entspannen - nebenbei ein Tipp nicht nur für Osterhasen. Und um einen schönen Sonntag zu genießen, darf ja wohl ein schöner Sonntagsnachmittagskaffeeklatsch nicht fehlen, oder? *schmunzel* Und genau dabei wünsche ich Euch nachher ganz viel Spaß - bei ein, zwei Tässchen leckerem Sonntagsnachmittagskaffee und ein, zwei, drei, vier Stückchen oberleckerem Sonntagsnachmittagskuchen. Und eine schöne Woche, die wünsche ich Euch natürlich auch - für die meisten von Euch dürfte es ja eine kurze Arbeitswoche sein. Oder vielleicht habt Ihr ja auch Urlaub? Aber ganz egal ob Ihr Arbeiten müsst oder nicht - versucht in jedem Fall, Euch Zeit zu nehmen für ein paar schöne Glücksmomente!

Just one more week and Easter will be there! Somehow Easter always seemed to be so far away still, didn't it - but now it has arrived with high speed. I bet all Easter bunnies are totally stressed already with last minute preparations. In this case enjoying the Sunday and taking time to relax would be a very good idea - btw not only a good advice for Easter bunnies. And when it comes to enjoying a nice Sunday a nice Sundayafternoon-"Kaffeeklatsch" can't be missed for sure, don't you agree? *smile* So for this I'm wishing you loads of fun later on, having one, two cups of tasty Sundayafternooncoffee and enjoying one, two, three, four pieces of yummy Sundayafternooncake. And as always I'm wishing to you a great week on top - many of you are supposed to be on the lucky side with only a short working week ahead. Or maybe some of you are enjoying an Easter holiday? But whether you have to work or not, you should try for sure to take some time to enjoy some nice moments of happiness!

Und was ist mit Rosa???

Hallo,

 

nachdem ich inzwischen meine Möbelgrundausstattung zusammen und auch einen schicken Fußboden habe, wurde es ja nun mal Zeit, mit der Ausgestaltung des Hauses zu beginnen. Also hat Birgit sich Gedanken um die Außenwände gemacht... und wo ich hier als Fenstergucker unterwegs bin, nehme ich das Ergebnis ja schon glatt vorweg... *lach*

... now that I'm having most of my furniture and a lovely floor too it was about time to start working on the house itself. So Birgit started thinking about what to do with the exterior walls... and in a way I'm already showing to you the result while peeping through my window... *LOL*

             

       

Aber bis es so weit war, habe ich doch einiges durchgemacht, ich kann Euch sagen!!! Als Birgit nämlich anfing, die Außenwände von meinem Cottage zu streichen, da sah das hinterher so aus:

Also, ich würde lügen, wenn ich behaupten würde, dass ich da nicht erst einmal tüchtig schlucken musste... Gut, von meinem Traum, ein rosa Häuschen zu bekommen, musste ich mich ja schon verabschieden. Birgit hat ja auch nicht ganz Unrecht, man würde mich ja sonst wirklich nicht mehr sehen, wenn ich vor dem Haus stehe... *hihi* Aber stattdessen dunkelbraun... *uffa* Aber natürlich war das nur der erste Anstrich, Birgit hat dann noch einen weißen Anstrich darüber gelegt und nun sieht das Ganze doch wenigstens hell und freundlich aus. Und außerdem - Shabby Chic ist ja voll im Trend!

Well, I would lie for sure if I would claim I didn't have to swallow heavily at first... Okay, I had to bury my dream of getting a pink house before. Birgit is of course right with saying otherwise I wouldn't be visible anymore when standing in front of my house... *teehee* But instead of this dark brown... *ooops* But of course this was only the first coat, after this Birgit made another coat with white and now it's looking friendly and bright. And whatsmore - Shabby Chic is for sure up to date!

... und aus diesem Fenster werde ich zukünftig von meinem Traumbett aus den neuen Tag begrüßen - herrlich! Wenn es doch nur schon so weit wäre... aber gut, bis dahin gibt es ja noch einiges zu tun. Als nächstes sind dann die Innenwände dran. Und um mir die Wartezeit etwas angenehmer zu machen, hat Birgit mir ein kleines Geschenk gemacht, schaut mal:

Kaffeeklatsch (Nr. 197)

Hallo,

 

ich freue mich, dass ich Euch heute wieder einmal aus der Kaffeeklatschtasse grüßen darf. Ich bin das Erdbärchen und das letzte Bärchen, das Birgit nach einem Fremdschnitt genadelt hat.

... I'm proud being allowed to host a "Kaffeeklatsch" once more. I may introduce myself, I'm Erdbärchen and I am the last beary Birgit has sewn from a bought pattern. My name comes from playing along with the German word for strawberry which is "Erdbeere" and for beary which is "Bärchen".
         

               

Normalerweise sehe ich meinen Kaffeeklatschauftritt mit etwas gemischten Gefühlen - ich bin nämlich irgendwie das einzigste BiWuBärchen, das nie seinen eigenen Auftritt beim Kaffeeklatsch haben kann. *seufz* Und ratet mal - warum... genau! Wegen Fluby! Den zieht alles Erdbeerige so magisch an, selbst wenn es wie in meinem Fall ein Bärchenfreund ist... bisher hat er noch jeden Kaffeeklatsch von mir gestört, so wie letztes Jahr zum Beispiel, schaut mal hier wenn Ihr mögt. Aber dieses Mal ist alles anders... Vorhin, als ich gerade in die Kaffeetasse klettern wollte, tauchten mit einem Mal wie aus dem Nichts lauter Sterne auf. Na, jeder hier im Hause weiß, was das bedeutet - und da standen auch schon Mysteria de Spell, Borthud Skullington und Roar vor mir und grüßten mich.

Usually my appearance in the "Kaffeeklatsch"-mug means mixed emotions for me - you must know that  somehow I am the only BiWuBeary that can not host its own "Kaffeeklatsch". *sigh* And guess why... right! Because of Fluby! He's totally attracted by everything related to strawberries, even if it is as in my case a beary friend... so far he's crashed every "Kaffeeklatsch" of mine, just remember last year, have a look here if you'd like. But this time it will be different... A little earlier, when I was just about to climb into the "Kaffeeklatsch"-mug suddenly out of nothing many stars appeared. Well, everybody around here knows what that means - and right, Mysteria de Spell, Borthud Skullington stood in front of me at once and were greeting me.

            

             

Und dann erzählten sie mir, dass es ihnen ein bisschen leid tue, dass Fluby immer meinen Kaffeeklatschtermin stört. Auch, wenn er nichts dafür kann - Erdbeeren aller Art ziehen ihn einfach an wie ein Magnet - aber irgendwie ist es schon immer ein bisschen ärgerlich. Und nun erzählten mir Mysteria und Borthud, dass sie dafür gesorgt hätten, dass Flutterby dieses Jahr nicht hier auftauchen kann.

And then they told me that they would feel a bit sorry for me because Fluby was crashing every "Kaffeeklatsch" of mine. Although he can't help it - strawberries of all kind attract him like a magnet - but it's still a bit frustrating. And now Mysteria and Borthud told me they made sure that Flutterby couldn't manage to appear this year.
         

          

Erdbärchen: Dass ich endlich ganz alleine einen Kaffeeklatsch präsentieren darf, freut mich natürlich total! Aber Ihr habt Fluby doch nichts getan, oder? Ich meine, er ist schließlich mein Freund und es ist mir dann doch lieber, wenn er hier bei meinem Kaffeeklatsch auftaucht, als dass er nun als Frosch durch die Gegend hüpft oder so...

Borthud (grinst): Mach Dir da mal keine Sorgen, Erdbärchen. So was würden wir Fluby doch nicht antun...

Mysteria (lacht): Nein, keine Bange... er ist ja auch unser Freund, da gehört sich Verhexen nicht. Aber wir haben halt sicher gestellt, dass er im Moment Strawberry Cottage nicht verlassen kann... und sobald Du hier fertig bist, kann er sich auch wieder frei bewegen... nicht, dass er noch den Sonntagsnachmittagskaffeeklatsch verpasst.

Erdbärchen: Das wäre auch furchtbar - und das hat Flutterby nicht verdient. Aber was habt Ihr denn nun gemacht? Die Türen von Strawberry Cottage magisch verschlossen?

Borthud (grinst noch breiter): Och, dazu brauchten wir nicht mal Magie... sagen wir einfach mal so: Wir haben zwei gute Bekannte von Fluby vor den Türen von Strawberry Cottage postiert. Und wir holen die beiden natürlich dort wieder ab, sobald Du hier fertig bist.

Mysteria: Aber nun wollen wir nicht weiter stören - jetzt sollst Du ihn einfach genießen... Deinen eigenen, ungestörten Kaffeeklatsch.

Erdbärchen: Being able to host my very own "Kaffeeklatsch" makes me very happy indeed! But you didn't do any harm to Fluby, did you? I mean, he's my friend for sure and it's even better if he's disturbing my "Kaffeeklatsch" than if he would have to hop along as a frog or something like that...

Borthud (grinning): Don't worry, Erdbärchen. We would never do something like this to Fluby...

Mysteria (laughing): Do not fear... he's our friend too so putting spells on him is no option at all. But we've made sure that he can't leave Strawberry Cottage at the moment... but as soon as you're done here he will be able to move free again... we don't want him to miss the Sundayafternoon-"Kaffeeklatsch".

Erdbärchen: This would be terrible - and Flutterby doesn't deserve this at all. But what have you been doing? Did you close the doors of Strawberry Cottage magically?

Borthud (grinning even broader): Oh, we didn't have to use any magic here... let's just say we left some well-known friends in front of the doors of Strawberry Cottage. But of course we're going to fetch them up as soon as you're finished here.

Mysteria: But now we no longer want to disturb you - now you shall simply enjoy it... Your very own, undisturbed "Kaffeeklatsch".

Tja, und schon waren die beiden wieder verschwunden... hoffentlich geht es Fluby gut... Besser ich beeile mich hier... auch um Flubys willen. Aber nun wünsche ich Euch erst einmal einen wunderschönen Sonntag und nachher ganz viel Spaß beim ersten Sonntagsnachmittagskaffeeklatsch im April mit ein, zwei Tässchen leckerem Sonntagsnachmittagskaffee und ein, zwei, drei, vier Stückchen oberleckerem Sonntagsnachmittagskuchen. Fortschritte in Roseys Cottage

bevor wir alle ins erste April-Wochenende starten, möchte ich Euch gerne zeigen, was sich in der Zwischenzeit beim Ausbau meines Häuschens getan hat. Ist ja schon wieder eine ganze Weile her, seit ich Euch als Letztes meinen wunderbaren Schreibtisch gezeigt habe. Heute geht es unter anderem um dieses Stück Holz hier.

... before all of us are heading off for the first weekend in April I would like to show you what happened in the meantime to my little house being under construction. It has been a while since I've shown you my gorgeous workdesk the last time. Today this piece of wood will have a starring role.

             

         

Aber dazu kommen wir gleich - erst einmal eine kleine Erinnerung. Ich besitze ja inzwischen einen wunderbaren Arbeitstisch, ein Designer-Eckregal und ein Bett. Sieht doch schon echt wohnlich aus, oder? *schmunzel*

But before we're getting to this we're going to have a little reminder first. In the meantime I own a fabulous workdesk, a designer corner shelf and a bed. Looks already very comfy, doesn't it? *smile*

         

           

Aber natürlich muss da noch einiges passieren, damit es irgendwann so richtig gemütlich ist... Farbe an den Wänden wäre schön... die Bettwäsche geht natürlich gar nicht... und ein Fußboden wäre auch ganz nett. Fußboden... genau! Und genau da kommt das kleine Stück Holz ins Spiel. Streng genommen ist das ein Umleimer und Birgit hat zum ersten Mal probiert, auf diese Weise einen Fußboden zu gestalten. Sie meinte, mein Einzimmerhaus wäre dafür der richtige Testkandidat, weil es nicht so groß sei. Mein Cottage als Versuchskaninchen, na bravo! Aber es gab keinen Grund zur Sorge, denn als Birgit fertig war, sah der Fußboden so aus:

 Anyhow, there were still many things missing to make it real cozy... colour on the walls would be nice... the bedding is a no-go for sure... and having a real floor would be great. A floor... that's it! And this is where the little piece of wood is needed. It's not real wood but the kind of stuff you iron on the corners of furniture to give it an appearance of wood, don't know how this is called in English but I think you can guess what Birgit has used. She has never tried this method before for a floor but she said my cottage would be perfect for trying because it's not very big. My cottage as a test subject, oh my goodness! But  there was no reason for worries at all because when Birgit was done the floor looked like this:

         

           

Nicht wundern, der Bereich links gehört zur späteren Veranda! *lach* Sieht doch toll aus, oder? Ich bin jedenfalls richtig glücklich mit meinem neuen Fußboden - und mit den Möbeln sieht es dann gleich so richtig schön aus:

In case you might be wondering - the part on the left side belongs to my future porch! *LOL* Looks great, doesn't it? I must say I'm totally satisfied with my new floor - and together with the furniture it's looking really good at once:

            

         

Am liebsten hätte ich ewig auf meinem Bett gesessen und mein zukünftiges Zuhause bewundert und mir vorgestellt, wie das alles mal so werden wird. Aber Birgit wollte sich auch noch um mein Bettchen kümmern... na, dafür bin ich da aber gerne rausgekommen. Als Erstes gab's ein bisschen Deko passend zum Eckregal und zusätzlichen Stauraum unter dem Bett hat Birgit mir auch noch geschaffen. Stauraum kann man ja einfach nie genug haben! *kicher*.

I could have sat on may bed admiring my future home and making plans about how it should become forever. But Birgit wanted to work on my bed next... well, in this case I had no objections to leave the bed again. First a little decoration matching the corner shelf was added and Birgit created some additional storage space under the bed for me. You can never have enough storage space, don't you agree? *giggle*

...und zum Schluß *tadaaaa* meine neue Bettwäsche aus dem Rosenstoff, den ich mir ausgesucht habe.

Und dann stand es vor mir: Das Bett meiner Träume! Ehrlich... ich finde es einfach nur wunderwunderschön... und ich weiß genau, ich werde herrlich darin schlafen. Und es passt natürlich perfekt zum Eckregal, schaut mal:

Dafür, dass Birgit immer behauptet, rosa und girlie läge ihr überhaupt nicht, hat sie meinen Geschmack aber perfekt getroffen! Ich weiß nicht, ob ich das schon mal erwähnt habe - aber ich bin das glücklichste Blumenbärchen auf der ganzen weiten Welt! Und das wünscht Euch nun ein wunderbares Wochenende! ;O)

Although she always claims she couldn't do pink and girlie Birgit has totally reached my hopes and expectations! I don't know if I've mentioned this so far - but I am indeed the most happiest flower beary in the whole wide world! And this is wishing to all of you a great weekend! ;O)

Willkommen im April

Hallo,

 

nun ist er da... der 1. April - und damit das erste Quartal des Jahres schon wieder Geschichte... Unglaublich, oder? Aber gut, tempus fugit - es war also wieder mal Zeit, das Fell an den Armen hoch zu krempeln und Birgit wie in jedem Monat bei der Kalenderaktualisierung zu helfen. Ihr wisst ja - ich bin ein Gentlebär durch und durch... *schmunzel* Mal sehen, was unser Sprüchekalender uns diesen Monat zeigt. Auf jeden Fall zeigt er uns nicht, von wem der Spruch kommt: "Alle Flüsse münden ins Meer. Alle Dinge weisen in eine Richtung." Genau - und alle Wege führen nach Rom... *lach* Ich bärsönlich würde ja noch ergänzen wollen, dass die Zeit immer auf die Erdbeersaison zuläuft, aber komisch, wenn ich so was erwähne, rollen sie hier alle mit den Augen... *kicher*

... now it's here... April 1st - which means the first quarter of the year is once more history... Incredible, isn't it? But it's true, tempus fugit - so it was once more time for pulling up the fur on my arms and start helping Birgit with the update of her many calendars. You know me - I'm a gentlebear from top to toe... *smile* Let's have a look what our wisdom calendar is showing us this month. Well, it doesn't show us who the author of this saying is (as always I'm trying to tell the German quotations in my own poor English) - it says all rivers are running towards the seas and all things are leading into one direction. Yessss - and all ways are leading to Rome... *LOL* Bearsonally I would like to add that time is always running towards strawberry season, but funny somehow, whenever I'm saying something like this there are heavy cases of rolling eyes around here... *giggle*

             

               

Aber wie immer habe ich natürlich noch einige andere schöne Gedanken zum Monatsanfang heraus gesucht - zunächst ein Zitat von Ralph Waldo Emerson: "Für jede Minute, in der man wütend ist, verliert man 60 Sekunden Glück." Na, dann doch lieber die 60, oder? Und Vincent van Gogh hat einmal festgestellt: "Die Normalität ist eine gepflasterte Straße; man kann gut darauf gehen - doch es wachsen keine Blumen auf ihr." Da ist was dran... genau wie an dem Gedanken von Jean-Jaques Rousseau: "Das Leben ist kurz, weniger wegen der kurzen Zeit, die es dauert, sondern weil uns von dieser kurzen Zeit fast keine bleibt, es zu genießen."

But as usual I have chosen some more nice thoughts for the new month's beginning for you - first a saying by Ralph Waldo Emerson. He pointed out that for every minute you're spending in anger you would be losing 60 seconds of happiness. Well, we'd better go for the 60, right? And Vincent van Gogh once said that normality is a paved path where you're able to work well and comfy - but no flowers would grow on it. That's true for sure as well as this thought by Jean-Jaques Rousseau who said life is short, not because of the short time it lasts but because from this short time there would be not much left to enjoy it.

 

Da kommt man doch ein bisschen ins Grübeln, oder? Wie wär's... wir können uns ja mal für den April vornehmen, keine 60 Glückssekunden durch minutenlanges Ärgern zu verschwenden und so oft es geht, das Leben zu genießen, indem wir Dinge tun, die wir gern tun und die uns gut tun... wie Basteln, im Garten werkeln, Lesen, nette Menschen treffen - oder einen schönen Kaffeeklatsch genießen. Und vielleicht müssen wir eben auch ab und zu den Weg der Normalität verlassen - denn Blumen machen das Leben doch einfach schöner, oder? In diesem Sinne wünsche ich Euch einen wunderbaren April - voll mit vielen glücklichen Sekunden!

This gets the mind to start thinking, doesn't it? What about that... we could make an April resolution not to waste 60 seconds of happiness by being angry for one minute and to enjoy life whenever possible by doing things we like to do and that do us good... like craftig, gardening, reading, meeting with friends - or enjoying a nice "Kaffeeklatsch". And maybe from time to time we should leave the path of normality - because flowers brighten our lives, don't you agree? Well, I'm wishing to all of you a great April - filled with many happy seconds!

Hallo,

 

herzlich Willkommen zum letzten Kaffeeklatsch im März... und mal abgesehen davon, dass man uns in Europa letzte Nacht eine Stunde Zeit geklaut hat, ist Euch vielleicht aufgefallen, dass es bei uns auf unserem Blog etwas anders aussieht als sonst... Aber dazu kommen wir gleich... erst mal muss ich ja aber guten Tag sagen, schließlich bin ich ja nicht so oft auf dem Blog zu sehen wie Fluby, Rosey oder die Hexenturmbewohner. Und doch... alle Besucher des BiWuBären-Weihnachtsmarktes kennen mich genau - das Sabienchen, das sich immer nicht entscheiden kann, ob es nun einen Schwibbogen oder eine Pyramide kaufen soll... *lach*

... and a heartwarm welcome to this last "Kaffeeklatsch" in March... not speaking of the hour we Europeans lost last night due to Daylight-Saving-Time for now but maybe you've noticed that our blog is looking different than usual... But we'll get to this soon... but first I have to greet you, well, I'm not that often to be seen on this blog as Fluby, Rosey or the Witch Tower Crew. Nevertheless... all visitors of our BiWuBear's Christmas Market know me well - I'm Sabienchen, the one who can never decide whether to buy a "Schwibbogen" or a wooden Christmas pyramid... *LOL*

         

      

Aber mal abgesehen davon, dass ich mich in Sachen Weihnachtsdeko nur schwer bis gar nicht entscheiden kann, bin ich auch noch aus anderem Grund etwas Besonderes. Ich bin nämlich das einzigste echte BiWuBärchen, also genäht nach Birgits eigenem Schnitt, aus Mohair - und darauf bin ich schon ein bisschen stolz. Auf jeden Fall habe ich mich sehr gefreut, dass ich heute endlich mal wieder an der Reihe war, in die Kaffeeklatschtasse zu klettern, natürlich begleitet von meinem Lebkuchenmann, der mich überall hin begleitet. Übrigens übergebe ich gleich an Fluby, der in seiner Eigenschaft als Blogbärchen heute eigentlich ein paar Berühmtheiten zum Thema Sommerzeit interviewen wollte - der Euch nun aber auch erklären wird, warum unser Blog auf einmal so anders aussieht. Ich verabschiede mich schon mal von Euch und wünsche Euch einen schönen Sonntag bei hoffentlich herrlichem Wetter, voll mit schönen Momenten. Und so ein schöner gemütlicher Sonntagsnachmittagskaffeeklatsch gehört ja nun in jedem Fall zu einem schönen Sonntag dazu - und genau dabei wünsche ich Euch nachher ganz viel Spaß, bei ein, zwei Tässchen leckerem Sonntagsnachmittagskaffee und ein, zwei, drei, vier Stückchen oberleckerem Sonntagsnachmittagskuchen. Und eine schöne Woche wünsche ich Euch natürlich auch - und einen tollen April!

But apart from not being able to choose when it comes to Christmas decorations I'm something special for another reason. You must know that I am the only real BiWuBeary, sewn from Birgit's own pattern, that was made of mohair - and I'm somehow proud of that. And for sure I was really happy having my turn today to climb into the "Kaffeeklatsch"-cup, of course together with my gingerbread man who is always with me. Btw I'm going to pass over to Fluby next who being the blogbeary wants to talk with some celebreties about the topic of Daylight-Saving-Time. But now he will also explain why our blog is looking so different now. I'm going to say goodbye now but I'm wishing to all of you a great Sunday hopefully with lovely weather and full with many happy moments. ja, eigentlich hatte ich mit Sabienchen vereinbart, dass ich beim Kaffeeklatsch noch ein paar Anmerkungen zum Thema Sommerzeit machen darf... ich finde es nämlich jedes Jahr überhaupt nicht toll, dass man mir einfach eine Stunde klaut... eine Stunde weniger, in der ich von Erdbeeren träumen kann... *kicher* Aber so wie es aussieht, muss ich ja wohl auch noch ein paar Worte zu unserem neuen Bloghintergrund verlieren, damit Ihr Euch nicht wundert.

yes, I have made an arrangement with Sabienchen that I can have some time for the topic of Daylight-Saving-Time... in my opinion it's not nice that they're stealing one hour from me... that means one hour less for dreaming about strawberries... *giggle* But now I have to say some words about our new blog background first in case you might wonder about it.

 

Nun, gestern war mit einem Mal unser Bloghintergrund verschwunden und die Domain unseres bisherigen Gratisanbieters war frei... Gut, hat Birgit sich gedacht, es gibt ja noch mehr Anbieter, also einen neuen Bloghintergrund ausgesucht und reinkopiert und gut ist... In der Praxis zeigte sich allerdings, dass wir den Code für den neuen Hintergrund eben nicht in das Layout reinkopieren konnten. Wir können ja seit einiger Zeit auch keine Links mehr in der Sidebar setzen - und hier ging das eben auch nicht. Ich erspare Euch weitere Einzelheiten, aber wir haben echt lange versucht, das Ganze wieder hinzukriegen und echt Zeit verplempert - aber letztlich blieb uns nichts anderes übrig, als uns für ein Blogger-Design zu entscheiden. Das ist zwar ein bisschen schlicht, aber im Moment muss das gehen, genau wie die neue Schrift und der verschwundene Kommentarzähler. Im Moment haben wir da nämlich einfach nur die Nase voll und hoffen, dass Blogger all diese Probleme möglichst bald in den Griff bekommt - so dass wir wieder Codes und Links setzen können, Friends Connect endlich wieder funktioniert und und und... *seufz*

Well, yesterday all of a sudden our blog background was vanished and the domain of our former supplier was free... So Birgit thought by herself, well, there are more providers than this one, so let's search a new background, copy it and everything's okay again. That was the theory - reality has shown that it was impossible for us to copy the code for the background in our layout. Since some time we're also not able to set links to our sidebar anymore - and with this gadget it didn't work either anymore. I'm not going to bore you with the details but we've tried a lot to get things going again and lost plenty of time - but in the end we had no other choice than to take a design from blogger itself. This may be a little bit simple in appearance but it shall work for the moment, as well as the the typing style and the disappeared comment counter. For now we still don't want to waste any more time with this and we only hope that blogger will fix all bugs soon - so we're going to able again to set codes and links, have a working Friends Connect again and so on... *sigh* 

 

Und wo wir gerade bei "Nase voll" sind... kommen wir zum Thema Sommerzeit! Ärgert Ihr Euch genau wie Birgit und ich jeden März über die gestohlene Stunde und die damit verbundene tagelange körperliche Umstellungsphase? Oder gehört Ihr zu denen die sagen, klasse, ich find's toll - alleine der Name: SOMMERzeit...? Nun, ich hatte die einmalige Gelegenheit, ein paar Prominente zu diesem Thema zu interviewen... allerdings zeigte sich gleich beim ersten Prominenten, dass der offensichtlich mit der Zeitumstellung durcheinander gekommen war (Er war noch im Nachthemd! *hüstel*) und dadurch unseren Termin nicht einhalten konnte.

And speaking of frustration... let's talk about Daylight-Saving-Time! Are you as grumpy as Birgit and I every March about the stolen hour and the difficulties to get used to the new time? Or do you belong to the ones thinking this is great because days are longer now? Well, I was lucky to have the opportunity to talk to some celebreties about this topic... But already with the first celebrity it appeared that he got totally confused with the change ot time (He was still in his nightdress! *blush*).

    

           

Da braucht es eigentlich gar kein Interview mehr... dennoch versuche ich gleich noch mal, ein Statement von Herrn Duck zu bekommen.  Erst einmal habe ich mich in ein berühmtes gallisches Dorf aufgemacht...

In a way this already tells it all... nevertheless I'm going to try a little later to get Mr. Duck's opinion. But first I made my way to a famous gaulic village...

Irgendwie beneide ich die Gallier ja... machen einfach nicht mit und gut ist. Mal schauen, was andere zu dem Thema zu sagen haben...

Chef: Oh doch... ich kann Dir sagen, Fluby... die ersten Tage der Sommerzeit sind immer schrecklich. Unser Schlafmütz ist dann immer so durch den Wind, dass wir ihn gar nicht mehr wach bekommen. Und unser Grumpy ist sogar noch schlechter gelaunt als sonst - das ist wirklich nicht einfach.

Grumpy: Sommerzeit... Bah, Humbug!

Flutterby: Hello, Chief - thank you very much that also the 7 Dwarfs agreed to grant me an interview. So, what do you think about Daylight-Saving-Time - and do you even get influenced of it when being in your mine digging for jewels?

Chief: Oh, sure we do... I can tell you, Fluby... the first days of Daylight-Saving-Time are always terrible. Our Sleepy is always totally irritated, we are not able to wake him up anymore. And our Grumpy is even grumpier than usual - it's really not easy.

Grumpy: Daylight-Saving-Time... Bah, Humbug!

Tja, das Ergebnis meiner kleinen (wenn auch nicht represäntativen) Umfrage unter Prominenten ist wohl eindeutig... sie könnten alle echt gut auf die Rumdreherei an den Uhren verzichten. Aber was soll man machen? Wir können es ja nicht ändern... und deshalb: Egal, ob es Schwierigkeiten mit Blogger oder eine gestohlene Stunde ist... ärgern bringt nichts und ändern können wir es ja auch nicht. Also genießen wir lieber das, was uns vom Sonntag übrig geblieben ist - und ganz besonders einen schönen Sonntagsnachmittagskaffeeklatsch. Und da schließe ich mich den Wünschen von Sabienchen an - viel Spaß nachher beim Sonntagsnachmittagskaffeeklatsch und eine tolle Woche! Wir sehen uns im April wieder!

But what shall we do? We can't help it... so whether it's trouble with blogger or a stolen hour... being angry about it doesn't help and we can't change it anyway.
