Hallo,
unglaublich, das Ende vom August kommt auch schon wieder in Sicht! Zum Glück ist bei uns seit einigen Tagen die extreme Hitzewelle vorbei, die Temperaturen sind wieder erträglich und - ganz besonders erfreulich - ein wenig Wasser von oben gab's auch! ;O) Aber vorher war mit uns nichts anzufangen, Rosey und ich leiden als Pelzträger ja nun auch ganz besonders unter Hitze. Und auch unsere Birgit ist absolut kein Sommertyp und mit Abendtemperaturen in der Wohnung von 28 Grad und mehr war an Basteln natürlich nicht zu denken. Eigentlich... denn es gab da etwas, was Birgit trotz der massiv erschwerten Bedingungen fertig bekommen musste. Unsere langjährigen Leser erinnern sich vielleicht - Anfang August hat die stille Blogleserin alias Birgits Mama alias unsere Oma Geburtstag und bekommt dann ein BiWuBärchen als Geburtstagsgeschenk.

Meistens wird es ein Schneewesen, weil die stille Blogleserin ja ein großer Schneemannfan ist - und auch dieses Jahr hat Birgit den Entschluß gefasst, ein Stückchen Stoff in eines ihrer Schneewesen zu verwandeln. Rosey und ich vermuten ja immer noch, dass Birgit gehofft hat, sich auf diese Weise Abkühlung in ihrem (O-Ton Birgit) "Brutofen unter dem Dach" zu verschaffen. Hat überraschenderweise nicht geklappt... *grins* Birgit lief der Schweiß in Strömen und nur der bloße Wille, die stille Blogleserin nicht zu enttäuschen, hat sie mit feuchten Fingern weiter sticheln lassen. Dem Ergebnis sieht man diese erschwerten Bedingungen zum Glück nicht an - ich darf Euch das neueste Mitglied der BiWuBärentruppe vorstellen: Das hier ist Vlok!

Angelino ist sein Name und er ist ein kleiner Schutzengelbär, der von vorn herein bestimmt war für eine ganz besondere Aufgabe.

Obwohl... die waren ja wie immer eher nicht für Birgit... und selbst auspacken konnte sie die wie immer auch nicht selbst... wie auch mit dem amtierenden Weltmeister im Paketeöffnen in der Bärchenklasse bis 10 cm im Haus! *kicher* Außerdem kamen diese Geschenke von der lieben Carmen - und das verheißt immer jede Menge wunderbarer Miniaturen (Link zu Carmens Blog: http://pekevasion.blogspot.com/) . Ja, wir hatten kürzlich das große Glück, eines von Carmens fantastischen und großzügigen "Sorteos" zu gewinnen und nur wenige Tage später kam ein großer dicker Umschlag aus Spanien zu uns ins Haus und darin war diese tolle Schachtel...
But Birgit did not only give presents, she also received presents… and what kind of presents! Nevertheless… as usual they were not really meant for Birgit... and as usual she was not able to unpack them herself… impossible with the official world champion of unpacking parcels in the beary class up to 10 cm in the house! *giggle* And on top these gifts were sent by dear Carmen - and this promises for sure the most wonderful miniatures (Link to Carmen's blog: http://pekevasion.blogspot.com/) . Yes, we've been very lucky lately to be the happy winners of one of Carmen's fantastic and generous "sorteos" and only a few days later a big envelope coming from Spain arrived at our house and inside was this lovely box...

All diese Schätze werden natürlich Ehrenplätze bekommen... allerdings nicht in Roseys und meinem aktuellen Hausprojekt - was aber natürlich nur an der Größe liegt. Birgit hat uns ja einige Vorgaben gemacht - man kann durchaus sagen, dass auch wir erschwerte Bedingungen haben. Aber inzwischen haben Rosey und ich ein Konzept... oder sollte ich sagen "eine Projektvision"??? *lach* Aus 2 x "Robin's Nest" wird 1 x "Strawberry Hut" und 1 x "Flower Hut". Und Ihr dürft jetzt genau 1 x raten, wer von uns welches Projekt betreut. *grins* Unser Gedanke dabei war, dass wir - so gut es eben möglich ist - unsere eigenen Häuser als Vorbild nehmen. Eine der vorherrschenden Farben von Strawberry Cottage ist ein Grün, das - Erbarmung - "Artischocke" heißt. Also, für mich ist das Erdbeergrün, Punkt! *grins* Und Rosey hat sich entschieden, ebenfalls eine der Hauptfarben von Flower Cottage zu nehmen. Ihr habt jetzt wieder Gelegenheit, mit zu Raten. Was höre ich da? Hat da jemand "pink" gerufen? Und noch jemand? Oh, und ich höre auch noch ein "rosa"... tja... was soll ich Euch sagen... Ihr irrt Euch! *lach* Rosey hat sich in der Tat für die Verwendung eines "lavendel"-Farbtons entschieden, der (wenn auch weiß gewischt) bereits für die Inneneinrichtung von Flower Cottage genutzt wurde.

Birgit had given us quite some specifications - so you could say that we're also having some hard conditions in a way. But in the meantime Rosey and I have a concept… or should I better say a "project vision"??? *LOL* From 2 x "Robin's Nest" we're going to 1 x "Strawberry Hut" and 1 x "Flower Hut". And you have exactly one single try to guess who of us will be in charge for which project. *grin* The thought behind this was the idea to take our own houses as a role model - as far as possible. One of the main colours of Strawberry Cottage is a green that's called "artichcoke" - mercy! Well, to me this is strawberry green, basta! *grin* And Rosey has also decided to use one of the main colours of Flower Cottage. Here's another opportunity for you to guess. What am I hearing? Did anybody just call "pink"? And somebody else too? Oh, and I'm also hearing a "rosé"... well… what am I supposed to tell you… you're wrong! *LOL* Rosey decided indeed to use a "lavender" colour which was (although with a white wash on it) already used for the interior of Flower Cottage.

Ich sage nur so viel: Gentlebär von Kopf bis Fuß, der jeden Pluspunkt im Goldenen Buch des Weihnachtsmannes dringend gebrauchen kann! Unser Sprüchekalender hatte für den August nicht nur ein sehr schönes Foto zu bieten, sondern auch einen besonders schönen Spruch von Edgar Allan Poe: "Die am Tag träumen, kennen viele Dinge, die den Menschen entgehen, die nur nachts träumen."
And in a wink of an eye everything looks neat and lovely. *smile* And that's all from us for today… except for one thing… for all of you who might have wondered by now… of course I've helped my Birgit at August 1st with the update of her several calendars again. I'm only saying this much: I'm a gentlebeary from top to toe in need of every good point in the Golden Book of Santa! Our wisdom calendar is offering a very lovely picture for August and a very nice saying by Edgar Allan Poe. He said those who are dreaming during the day would know things that people who were only dreaming at night would miss.
Dem haben wir nichts hinzuzufügen! Habt einen schönen Rest-August... und nehmt Euch Zeit, am Tag zu träumen! ;O)

And in a wink of an eye everything looks neat and lovely. *smile* And that's all from us for today… except for one thing… for all of you who might have wondered by now… of course I've helped my Birgit at August 1st with the update of her several calendars again. I'm only saying this much: I'm a gentlebeary from top to toe in need of every good point in the Golden Book of Santa! Our wisdom calendar is offering a very lovely picture for August and a very nice saying by Edgar Allan Poe. He said those who are dreaming during the day would know things that people who were only dreaming at night would miss.
Dem haben wir nichts hinzuzufügen! Habt einen schönen Rest-August... und nehmt Euch Zeit, am Tag zu träumen! ;O)

Oh thanks Flutterby for giving us some good news. It's as delicious as a basket of strawberries! Vlok your new companion is irresistible (Birgit really has fairy fingers). Angelino is also wonderful and he will be an excellent guardian angel for Fedde!

Me ha dado risa pensar que con 28 grados en el apartamento Birgit pueda inspirarse para crear a Vlok :), supongo que soñaba de día que hacía un poquito de fresco y empezaba a nevar, jaaaa! Es adorable, lo mismo que el osito para el bebé. Me ha encantado! Y qué sorpresa encontrar a mi querida Carmen :). Felicidades por tus regalos! Hut ab! Bei den Temperaturen der letzten Wochen Bärchen nähen - das ist schon eine beachtliche Leistung. Wenn aber die Motivation passt und man lieben Menschen eine große Freude machen kann...
Wie schön, dass die Arbeiten an den kleinen Häusern begonnen haben. Was soll ich sagen - das Erdbeergrün streicht mein Held gerade auch. Es ist nämlich auch die Kontrastfarbe an unserem Häuschen. :0) Ich bin gespannt wie es bei euch weiter geht.
Die Miniaturen sind ja wohl klasse. Da seid ihr ja reich beschenkt worden. Was glaubt ihr, was mir am allerbesten davon gefällt....? Natürlich, das Strickzeug! Ist das klasse!

Hello Flutterby! So happy to see you survived summer! I have deep respect for Birgit for sewing such thick fur in 28 degrees C. Vlok is adorable and Angelino absolutely angelic. I think every baby should have a beary guardian angel! Birgit is so kind to make him for Fedde.

I am Very Happy that the heatwave is over too, Birgit and I APPLAUD you're perserverance in stitching Vlok the snowman despite the slippery challenges of holding onto the needle! He is a cool-looking little snowman and his hat shows that he is ready for the snow!
A Big Welcome to Angelino! He has an important job ahead of him being a Guardian Angel beary to Fedde, but such Great Adventures he will have!
Meanwhile more adventures in the kitchen are in store for Rosey and Flutterby thanks to Carmen's Amazing Gifts! Soon I hope to see some hot home-cooked meals prepared in that shiny new pressure cooker, now that Autumn is just around the corner.

Also ich finde, seist gerade das richtige Wetter. Da ich sonst immer friere, bin ich jetzt endlich mal glücklich.
Der Schneebärenmann ist wieder total niedlich geworden.
Toll werden die Häuschen und den Schnellkochtopf finde ich auch ganz prima. Vielleicht könnt Ihe mich heute damit unterstützen. Ich bekomme Gäste und mache gefüllte Paprika. Der Schokokuchen backt schon vor sich hin und die Kälte Gurkensuppe muss auch noch dazwischen. Leider sind keine Erdbeeren dabei, sonst hätte ich natürlich schon längst eine Einladung verschickt ☺️

Glückwunsch der Oma Silke, die nun so einen wunderschönen Schneemann mit einem so aussergewöhnlichen Namen ihr eigen nennen darf; Glückwunsch der lieben Ilona, bzw. dem kleinen Fedde, der nun einen so tollen Beschützer an seiner Seite hat ( der mich optisch sehr stark an einen gewissen Toffee-begeisterten Riversider erinnert :O) ); Glückwünsche an die liebe Birgit, dafür, dass sie bei einem so tollen sorteo gewonnen hat...!!
Dir und Deiner rosanen Schwester wünsche ich weiterhin viel Erfolg bei Eurem Häuserprojekt! Ich bin gespannt, was Ihr Euch noch so einfallen lasst.
Es freut mich sehr, dass es bei Euch mal wieder geregnet hat. Bei uns ist leider noch immer Serengeti im Garten und die Hitze lässt auch noch nicht so wirklich nach. Nur nachts scheint es sich etwas mehr abzukühlen, aber vielleicht sollte ich das nicht so laut sagen...

Halloooo liebe Freunde!! First of all my sincere congratulations to the silent reader, aka Birgit's Mom, our dear Silke :D!!
Oh oh, my dear Birgit made this bear under the most unthinkable heavy circumstances, which I know very well. But I know that Birgit's Mom has been so very, very happy with her new snow beary, Vlok, and will add her to her private and gorgeous collection. Vlok, what a great name, is it the same German word (as in Dutch) for snowflake..? I wish your snowbeary Vlok could let it snow right now, because if she could.......I would visit you both instantly, wow, lovely cold and feeling so good ;O!!!! It's good that Vlok has a nice hat on her head for coming cold winters!
And what to say about another BiWuBear named Angelino, he is really a piece of craftsmenship. Being the proud grandma of Fedde, I've seen this guardian bear in person. He is absolutely beautifully made, with precious real angel feathers on his wings and has the good character of a true BiWuBear worhty.....although there are some BiWuBears.....ahummm, no, I won't say anyhting my lips are sealed ;)!! Fedde's parents were so very surprised by this huge gift from Birgit, they were completely speechless when the package arrived at their home. Thank you again on behalf of me, the proud grandma, who is still enjoying so very much her first grandson. The more because I know that Angelino was made under heavy circumstances and with so much love from Birgit. He will always be kept safe and treasured, that's for sure.
Enjoy your gifts from our generous lady Carmen, Birgit, and of course you two rascals have to unpack this gift in a wink of the eye ;). Each gift is lovely made, enjoy!
So, Birgit's project in challenging you and Rosey is quite hard, huh? So, you have directed everyone to the wrong direction, for chosing other colors than we expected, very clever of you both, but what else to expect from BiWuBearies ;)?
Of course, helping Birgit with updating her calendars has surely gained you an extra point in Santa's golden book, Fluby.

Dear Fluby and Rosey and Birgit, of course, It looks like you have been very busy in spite of the horrible hot weather! I am sure the Silent Blog Reader was very happy to meet Vlok... especially in the hot weather... I am sure he carries his own supply of "cool air"... he certainly looks very "cool" to me! :) And a big welcome to Angelino who has a very great job to do... looking after a wonderful baby boy born in Ilona's Family! I am sure his smiles and soft wings will be much loved! :):) And the revelation of the colors you have chosen for the Little Cottages Project is certainly an eye opener! I was among those shouting Pink.... until I look closer at Flower Cottage and see for sure the amount of lavender in the decor! But I must say, I was kind of hoping Birgit would let Fluby paint his whole cottage in red... really! It would look like one big lovely strawberry that way!!! (I am sorry if I am being a trouble maker.... but you know I love bright colors too!) And as for the Calendar for this month (we won't mention how much of it has passed already..!) what a beautiful image for Daydreaming along.... I think I know what he means! LOL! :):)

Hello! I am happy to witness the birth of such beautiful creatures. Vlok and Angelino are so sweet and adorable, I am sure they will make people around them very happy. As for Birgit I wish her more gentle weather to come so she can recover for such hard work. I am also happy for her as the winner of Carmen´s wonderful giveaway, she is so generous and her minis are wonderful, I have lots of them!! Finally I´d like to mention that I can´t wait to see how Flubby and Rosie decorate their cute houses, what I have seen so far looks promising! Happy rest of August.

So happy to see two new teddies 'off the needle', and that one of them has travelled to friends where he will have a good life.

It's the first day of Spring here in South Africa, which makes it autumn in your part of the world. I hope the weather is milder now, and stays that way for a long time before it becomes really cold!
