Hallo,
passend zum Rosenmonat Juni präsentieren wir heute in unserem Post einen bunten Strauß aus allem Möglichen. Juni... ist das nicht unglaublich? Nun ist schon der Sommer da... und nicht mehr lang und die Tage werden schon wieder kürzer. *lach* Um so wichtiger ist es also, dass wir in vollen Zügen genießen, was die Natur uns im Juni bietet. Im Garten kann man den Pflanzen echt beim Wachsen zuschauen (leider auch dem Gras... was Birgit zu sehr häufigen Dates mit ihrem Rasenmäher zwingt). Die Natur explodiert geradezu - und ihre Majestät bereitet sich auf ihren großen Auftritt vor.

Rosey und ich haben uns erst letzten Sonntag bärsönlich davon überzeugt, dass die Königin der Blumen langsam in unserem Garten ihre Regentschaft beginnt. Und ja... wie sollte es anders sein: Willkommen zu Folge 93907 von "Und schon wieder jede Menge Fotos von BiWuBärchen im Garten"! *grins*

Dazu passt unser Sprüchekalender - gut, das Bild noch nicht so, denn bei uns bildet der Lavendel gerade erst Knospen. Aber der Spruch von Leigh Hunt um so mehr: "Farben sind das Lachen der Natur und Blumen sind ihr Lächeln."
Our wisdom calendar is somehow matching with this - well, the picture not as much because so far around here the lavender is just starting to grow blossoms. But the saying by Leigh Hunt fits very well, he said colors are the smiles of nature and flowers are its laughter.
Das ist ein sehr schöner Gedanke, wie ich finde. Und auch bei der Renovierung vom Bärchenhaus geht es ja um Farbe - inzwischen ist Birgit endlich mit der Fassade fertig geworden. Leider hat sich gezeigt, dass Birgits Methode, "Ziegel" aus Bastelhölzern aufzukleben, auch nicht ohne Tücken ist. *seufz* Birgit musste feststellen, dass die Fassade ebenso wie die Bastelhölzer unregelmäßig sind... ganz zu Schweigen vom erheblichen Aufwand beim Zuschneiden. Das Ergebnis ist demzufolge nicht so schön und gleichmäßig, wie Birgit das gerne gehabt hätte und wie die Testversuche es versprochen haben. Aber auch wenn die "Ziegel" nun ein wenig windschief sind - verglichen mit dem, wie's vorher aussah, ist Birgit mit dem neuen, frischeren Look trotzdem ganz zufrieden. Zur Erinnerung noch mal das Archivfoto - und der Hinweis, dass die Farbe auf dem Bild täuscht... tatsächlich war die Farbe eher vanillegelb:
In my modest opinion this is a very nice thought. And the makeover of the Beary House too is about colors - in the meantime Birgit is done with the facade. Sadly it turned out that Birgit's method to glue "bricks" made of wooden craft sticks on the facade included pitfalls. *sigh* Birgit had to find out that the facade itself as well as the craft sticks were not even… not to speak about the effort of cutting everything in shape. So the result is not as nice and regular as Birgit would have hoped it would be and as the tests promised. But although the "bricks" are a bit askew now - when comparing the result with the look of the house before the makeover Birgit is still quite content with the new fresh look of it. As a little reminder we're showing a photo from the archives first - and we need to point out that the colors on the picture are different from reality… in fact this was a yellowish cream white.

Nun kann es an die Deko für die Hausfassade gehen - Birgit sagt, da kann sie nach all der "Stein-"schnippelei endlich wieder etwas Spaß haben. Vorher hat sie sich aber noch um den alten Küchenschrank gekümmert. Der war bereits weiß lackiert und sah so aus:
Now the decoration can start - Birgit says after all this "stone" cutting she can finally have some fun again. But before this she took care of the old kitchen cabinet. This was already painted with a glossy white and looked like this:
Birgit mochte weder das glänzende Weiß noch die Türen und die Griffe besonders leiden - Zeit also für eine kleine Prise Birgit-Touch! Der Schrank bekam als Erstes einen neuen Anstrich in mattem Weiß - was Ihr mir einfach mal glauben müsst, denn das wird man auf den Fotos wohl nicht erkennen können. Und dann ging es noch ein bisschen weiter und am Ende sieht der Schrank nun so aus:
Birgit didn't like either the shiny white nor the doors and the handles - so it was time for a small dose of Birgit-touch! First the cabinet got a new coat of paint in a matte white - just believe me, I suppose you won't spot the difference in the pictures. And after a few additional touches the cabinet looks like this now:
Und weil Birgit danach noch zwei Schubladengriffe übrig hatte, bekam auch der alte Küchenbeistelltisch...

Wie auch - wir sprechen hier von Ilona *schmunzel*... und natürlich hat Ilona uns damals nicht nur einen total realistischen Bienenstock geschenkt, sondern auch ein komplettes Rundum-Sorglos-Zusatzpaket! Angefangen von umfangreicher Literatur zum Thema Honig...
One can never have enough drawers in the kitchen! *LOL* And before we're saying goodbye for today we would like to remind you of our last post still. We had shown to you the fantastic beehive given to us by Ilona as a gift long time ago. And our dear friend Betsy was wondering whether I was having the right equipment to harvest my honey safe and sound. I can reassure you there's no need to worry at all. Well, in the end it's Ilona we're talking about *smile*… and of course Ilona did not only give an amazingly realistic beehive to us back then, no, we also received a complete accessories package! Starting with a big variety of literature about the topic of honey…

Also ich weiß ja nicht was Birgit hat. Die Ziegelwand ist doch perfekt. Birgit muss mal beim nächsten Besuch einer Altstadt schauen wie dort manch ein Haus gemauert ist...und wie charmant das aussehen kann. Ich finde die Mauern von eure Häuschen perfekt. Auch Schrank und Beistelltisch sehen großartig aus..
Was die Rosen und die Erdbeeren angeht, bin ich ganz bei euch. Das beste am Juni sind die vielen schönen Blumen, Erdbeeren in jeder Form und die wundervollen lauen Sommerabende.
Genießt alles in vollen Zügen.

Hi dear bearies, I have enjoyed a lot your last series of the garden photos!! You are so lucky to have such a wonderful garden. It´s a pleasure to the eye and heart to enjoy such beauty, thank you! I love the makeover of the bearies house, those bricks even or not look fabulous, I know from experience that is not a very pleasant job but the results are worth it. I like the transformation of the kitchen cabinet and side table too, they look fantastic. I cannot wait to see all this wonderful pieces in place. Ok, I know, we must be patient, so I will be :)
I didn't think of the hazards of collecting the honey from the Ilona´s wonderful beehive but now I am relieve to know that you have all the necessary equipment!

Halloooo liebe Freunde!! Yes, it's June already, time flies! Your garden pictures are always a treat for the eyes, Fluby, and you and Rosey are starring so well in the plants ;O. I LOVE seeing your roses, the colors are gorgeous and ifthey smell I bet that their scent must be devine :).
The saying on the calendar fits very well to everything what Mother Nature creates, I can hear her laugh ;).
So sorry to read that that Birgit's method to glue "bricks" made of wooden craft sticks on the facade included pitfalls. But honestly: I don't see any flaws, the whole has just the right realistic look after my modest opninion...but do I see there a white, black-eyed ghost looking through the window??? You can see it behind the window on the first floor, just above the frontdoor, at one of the pictures.
What a great make-over of the kitchen cabinetand the sidetable, it looks quite different and although I can't see the matte look I think it's better than before.
Yes, we do need bees in our gardens, especcialy nowadays the envirement is not good enough anymore for these important animal species. We urgently need them for pollinating lots of plant on earth. I'm glad that you still own your equipment for calming the bess if neccessary, but I also think you're fond of their honey, hehehe ;O??
Lastly, I fully agree with you that enjoying roses and strawberries is something everyone needs to do in this month, I enjoy eating very much fresh strawberries now and I'm pretty sure you all do too :O)!!

Liebe Grüsse, Schepje und Ilona, who hopes every day for a little drop of rain for the new plants in her garden. These last days the complete Netherlands got lots of rain, except we here in our region....really, no single tiny drop, how that's possible :O??!!
Roses are Definitely the "Queen of flowers" Birgit, and I can see why the Beary Bears are so excited about being photographed among them, especially when they are as all as healthy and happy are your roses are Birgit! And I agree that it is hard to believe that it is June already and that soon the days begin to get shorter again. WHAAAA!:(
It appears however, that the grass waits for no one, no matter what month it may be. Mine grows too quickly for me to keep up with, but it always looks Wonderful right after it's been cut. :D
But as to the bricks on the renovated BiWuBeary house, how can you NOT be happy with the way the brickwork looks? It is FABULOUS! Laying bricks is a tedious business and to have cut each one then place and spaced it over the entire front surface was a massive job- BRAVO!!!!
Flubby and Rosey must be DELIGHTED with what you've achieved as well as with the revamped furniture pieces for it- how exciting!
And I must say that Ilona has given you an AMAZING gift of beekeeper gear which is soooooo cute!!!!!
The hat, gloves and smoker etc. are Absolutely Adorable and so authentic in every way- but That's so Typical of Ilona; no detail too small to be over-looked as well as Perfected!

Me gusta como se ha transformado la fachada con los nuevos ladrillos,aunque sea un trabajo muy costoso y a veces ingrato,el resultado lo compensa.También el toque de color en los muebles,hacen que se vean más interesantes.
Menos mal que tenéis todo el equipo necesario para recolectar la miel,estaba muy nerviosa pensando en que podrían picaros las abejas y yo,que soy alérgica a las picaduras,sé lo mal que se pasa,ahora me quedo muy tranquila!!
Hoy precisamente me acordé de ti,Flutterby,comí mis primeras fresas y no pude evitar sonreír al recordarte.

Dear Fluby and Rosey and Birgit too! I am always Happy to see your smiling faces in the Rose Bushes!!! Your season is ahead of ours... my first rose blossom opened yesterday... and a few more today! But I have to admit that your post gave me a Very Scary Moment....! Shorter Days??? Yikes! (And that brings the quickly following thought that we might as well just start getting ready for the "C" word right now! Lol!) And as you know, for me this is Serious Business! But I am completely agreed that the colors are Nature's smiles, and surely flowers must be the laughter! And while I am thinking of the flowers, I must say I am not surprised about Ilona's creative genius including all the equipment for the bee hives! (And in my dim memory I seem to recall a post about this when it arrived!) I am sorry to learn that Birgit found out the difficult way that her Beary House was not even and straight... darn those bricks... they make the truth too hard to hide! LOL! But I think she has managed to correct the flaws successfully... they are not apparent in the photos! I am looking forward to seeing the kitchen in the house when Birgit gets all the furnishings "upgraded"... for sure there will be a wonderful amount of Birgit Magic involved! And I hope there will be abundant Strawberries... mini and full size too! :):):)
