3. Advent

Hallo,

 

nun haben wir also schon den 3. Advent... nur noch eine Woche und dann ist Weihnachten. Unglaublich, wo ist denn nur die Adventszeit geblieben? Um so wichtiger ist es aber, die wenigen verbleibenden Tage der Adventszeit zu genießen... zum Beispiel mit einem schönen gemütlichen Adventssonntagsnachmittagskaffeeklatsch. Heute grüßen Euch drei ganz besondere BiWuBärchen aus der Kaffeeklatschtasse:
... and now it's already Advent 3rd... just one more week and Christmas will be here. Incredible, where did the Advent time go to? So it's even more important to enjoy the few remaining days of Advent... for example with a nice Adventsundayafternoon-"Kaffeeklatsch". Today three very special BiWuBearies are greeting out of the "Kaffeeklatsch"-cup:

          

            

Bruni, Sunflower und Angie leben normalerweise bei Birgits Tanten in Kiel - aber die Drei dürfen zur Zeit Weihnachtsurlaub bei uns machen und vor allem unseren BiWuBären-Weihnachtsmarkt besuchen. Was glaubt Ihr wohl, wie sich unsere drei Gastbärchen darüber gefreut haben... und noch mehr, als ich ihnen die heutige Hauptrolle in der Kaffeeklatschtasse angeboten habe. *schmunzel* Weihnachten ist schließlich ein Fest der Familie und der Freude - und das heute am 3. Advent ganz besonders, denn der heutige Sonntag trägt ja den Namen "Gaudete" und fordert uns damit auf, uns zu freuen. Grund zur Freude hatten wir letzte Woche aber schon mehr als genug - zum Beispiel, als wir letzten Sonntag Ilonas Geschenke zum 2. Advent auspacken durften. Diese fantastischen Metallanhänger haben wir bekommen...
Usually Bruni, Sunflower and Angie are living in Kiel with Birgit's aunts - but they got permission to visit us for Christmas vacation and especially for visiting the BiWuBeary Christmas Market. And just imagine how happy our three guest bearies have been... and even more when I offered them today's lead role in the "Kaffeeklatsch"-cup. *smile* Well, Christmas is of course a holiday to spend with the family and to have joy - especially today at Advent 3d because today's Sunday is named "Gaudete" demanding us to be happy. Last week offered many reasons for us to be happy - for example when last week we were finally allowed to open Ilona's presents for Advent 2nd. We received these awesome metal charms...

Der ist einfach nur wunderschön, das gibt das Bild gar nicht wider... klar, dass der Hirschkopf einen Ehrenplatz im zukünftigen Weihnachtsprojekt bekommen wird. Vielen, vielen Dank, liebe Ilona! Aber es sind auch wieder jede Menge geheimnisvolle Päckchen angekommen...
This one ist just beautiful, pictures don't do it justice... it's for sure that this stag head will get a place of honor in the future Christmas project. Many, many thanks, dearest Ilona! But we've received once more many mysterious packages...

Wie immer durften wir noch nichts auspacken und mussten uns wieder mal Birgits Vortrag zum Thema "Alles hat seine Zeit und die Zeit für Weihnachtsgeschenke ist am Abend von Heiligabend" anhören (das könnte ich auch singen... oder zusammen fassen in "blablabla"... *kicher*... äh... oooops... lieber Weihnachtsmann, falls Du das jetzt mitbekommen hast, also ich... äh... habe natürlich ganz konzentriert zugehört, damit ich Birgits wichtige Worte auch voll beherzigen kann! *schwitz*) Aber wir durften wenigstens schon mal ganz vorsichtig schauen, ob Grußkarten dabei sind - die dürfen schon vorab mit Freude gelesen werden und werden danach dekorativ an einer Schnur aufgehängt. Diese wunderschönen Karten haben wir bekommen...
... sent to us from very dear friends. *beams-with-joy* Many, many thanks to Drora, Tine, Rosanna and Nina! As usual we were not allowed to open them and had to listen to Birgit's sermon with the topic "Everything has it's own time and the time for Christmas gifts is the evening of Christmas Eve" (I could also sing this... or sum it up to "blablabla"... *giggle*... eh... ooops... dear Santa, just in case you've noticed this, well I... eh... was of course listening with full concentration to enable me to save Birgit's most important words in my heart! *pant*) But we were allowed to have at least a careful glimpse whether they were greeting cards included - because these may be read with joy in advance and we're hanging them on a garland adding to the Christmas decoration. We've received these beautiful cards...

            

            

... vielen Dank für die lieben Worte. Einen sehr lieben Weihnachtsgruß haben wir auch kürzlich von einer von Birgits Tanten in Form eines schönen Blumenstraußes bekommen.
... and many thanks for your kind words. And lately we've received another sweet Christmas greeting from one of Birgit's aunts coming along as a beautiful flower bouquet.

Und während Rosey und ich hier ein bisschen... äh... aufräumen *hihi* dürfen wir Euch heute etwas Besonders zeigen. Wir haben sie schon oft erwähnt aber noch nie gezeigt: Die Schneemannsammlung unserer Oma alias Birgits Mama alias der stillen Blogleserin. Zur Weihnachtszeit bekommen die Karottennasen nämlich ihren eigenen Tisch:

We have often mentioned it but have never shown it before: The snowman collection of our Granny aka Birgit's Mom aka our silent blog reader. During Christmas time all the carrot noses come together at one table:

Die Schneemänner auf der Decke hat Birgit übrigens vor vielen Jahren für ihre Mutter darauf gestickt. Und noch etwas wollen wir Euch heute zeigen - nachdem wir Euch die Buden des BiWuBären-Weihnachtsmarktes gezeigt haben, wollen wir nicht die beiden Verkaufskarren vergessen, die auch unbedingt dazu gehören. Da ist einmal dieser hier, prall gefüllt mit Weihnachtsschmuck...
Btw Birgit has stitched the snowmen on this tablecloth for her Mom many years ago. But we would like to show you something else still - after showing you the booths of our BiWuBeary Christmas Market we won't forget the two sales carts that are for sure part of this too. First there's this one, well filled with Christmas decorations...

Und garantiert ohne dubiose Zutaten wie Spinnenbeine und Krötenschleim - dafür aber mit Spaßfaktor, denn so ein Monstercupcake ist echt witzig.
With a guarantee that strange ingredients like spider legs or toad slime are not involved - but instead of this with a big fun factor because such a monster cupcake is indeed funny.

Und nach dieser kleinen Kaffeepause mit leckeren Weihnachtskeksen geht es nun weiter mit dem Projekt "Weihnachten im Schrank". Ihr erinnert Euch sicher noch vom letzten Sonntag an all die Symbole, die Birgit da hinein packen will... darunter waren auch Glocken.
And after this short coffee break with tasty Christmas cookies we are now going to continue with our project "Christmas in a cabinet". I guess you remember well from last Sunday all the symbols Birgit is planning to include... among these were also bells.
           

 

 Und zwar solche Glocken, wie die meisten BiWuBärchen sie um den Hals tragen... ich bin eines davon. *schmunzel* Genau genommen verwendet Birgit die aber nicht für "Weihnachten im Schrank" sondern mehr für "Damit sich "Weihnachten im Schrank" auch öffnen lässt"...
The kind of bells most BiWuBearies are wearing around their necks... well, I'm one of those. *smile* To be exact Birgit is not using these for "Christmas in a cabinet" but somehow for "To make sure 'Christmas in a cabinet' can be opened at all"...

 

Schrankknöpfe mal ganz anders... Und um Dinge wie Winteridylle, "Stille Nacht" sowie Weihnachtsleckereien abzudecken, wird Birgit etwas Ähnliches machen wie bei ihren typischen Häuschenszenen.

Cabinet knobs in a totally different way... And to cover things like winter wonderland, "Silent Night" or Christmas treats Birgit plans to create something similar to her typical small house scenes.

 

 

So langsam bin ich echt gespannt, wie all das am Ende als "Weihnachten im Schrank" aussehen wird. Aber es fehlt ja noch mehr... was wäre Weihnachten ohne Geschenke und denjenigen, der sie dankenswerterweise bringt? Genau, der Weihnachtsmann persönlich muss auch noch dabei sein... und wenn man Birgit kennt, dann überrascht es nicht, dass der Weihnachtsmann nicht allein kommt sondern im Rentierschlitten vorfährt. Ausgangspunkt war der Rentierschlitten von Preiser (Maßstab HO / 1:87):
In the meantime I'm really excited to see how all of this will look as "Christmas in a cabinet" in the end. But there's even more missing... what would Christmas be without presents and the one who is so kind to bring them to us? Sure, Santa Claus needs to join us here in person... and knowing Birgit it's no surprise that Santa doesn't show up alone but drives by in his reindeer sleigh. The start of this was the reindeer sleigh by Preiser (scale HO / 1:87):
 

 

 

Ganz nett... aber nicht nett genug für Birgit. Als Erstes waren die Rentiere dran - die sehen so aus, wenn man sie kauft...
Quite nice... but not nice enough according to Birgit. First it was the reindeers' turn - they look like this when you buy them...

Da wir es hier aber mit Birgit zu tun haben, war ein bisschen Farbe nicht genug.
Due to the fact that Birgit is in charge of this a little bit of paint was not enough.
 

 

Hier könnt Ihr sehr gut sehen, wie sich die Preiser-Rentiere durch ihre Bekanntschaft mit meiner Birgit verändert haben:

Nicht übel... *schmunzel* Danach war dann noch der Schlitten an der Reihe, Birgit und ihre Pinsel kennen zu lernen und dann musste ich erst mal überlegen... wie ging der Text noch gleich?
Not that bad... *smile* Afterwards it was the sleigh's turn to meet Birgit and her brushes and I had to search in my memory... to remember the lyrics...

Alle acht Rentiere des Weihnachtsmannes sind vor dem Schlitten eingespannt wie sich das gehört!

Verzeihung?! Was sagt Ihr? Ach... Ihr vermisst das berühmteste aller Rentiere? Keine Bange, den guten Rudy hat Birgit natürlich nicht vergessen... und das Wichtigste von allem fehlt ja auch noch. Aber gut, es ist ja auch noch nicht Weihnachten. *schmunzel*. Und meine Birgit hatte diese Woche echt viel zu tun... dabei ging es leider unter anderem auch um so ekliges, kaltes, weißes Zeug... *seufz* Und obwohl die damit verbundene Arbeit so gar nichts Nettes hat, hat Birgit (!) persönlich (!!!) diese Bilder gemacht... nach dem ersten, noch leichten Schneefall vor unserer Haustür aufgenommen.
Pardon?! What do you say? Oh... you're missing the most famous of all reindeers? Don't worry, of course Birgit did not forget good ol' Rudy... and the most important of all is still missing too. Well, it's not Christmas yet. *smile* And my Birgit has been very busy during this week... which included having to deal with certain disgusting, cold, white stuff... *sigh* And although the work involved with this isn't nice in any way Birgit (!) personally (!!!) took these pictures... made after the first and still light snowfall in front of our entrance.
 

 

Ganz ehrlich - meine Birgit hat sich diesmal ihren Adventssonntagsnachmittagskaffeeklatsch noch mehr als sonst verdient (und das sage ich wirklich nicht, weil ich nach wie vor jeden Pluspunkt im Goldenen Buch des Weihnachtsmannes gebrauchen kann... *schluck*... nur noch so wenig Zeit übrig... äh... wo war ich...). Aber auch ansonsten ist das ja immer eine gute Idee... so ein schöner gemütlicher Adventssonntagsnachmittagskaffeeklatsch mit ein, zwei Tässchen leckerem Adventssonntagsnachmittagskaffee und ein, zwei, drei, vier Stückchen oberleckerem Adventssonntagsnachmittagskuchen. Vorher gilt es aber noch, die drei Kerzen am Adventskranz anzuzünden:
Honestly - this time my Birgit deserves her Adventsundayafternoon-"Kaffeeklatsch" even more than usual (and I'm really not saying this because I'm still in need of every single good point in Santa's Golden Book... *gulp*... only so little time left.. eh... where was I...). But of course this is always a good idea... a nice and cozy Adventsundayafternoon-"Kaffeeklatsch" with one, two cups of tasty Adventsundayafternooncoffee and one, two, three, four pieces of yummy Adventsundayafternooncake. But first we need to lit the three candles on the Advent wreath:
 

 

Geschafft! Und nun werden meine drei besonderen Gäste Bruni, Sunflower und Angie zusammen mit Rosey und mir einen schönen gemütlichen Adventssonntagsnachmittagskaffeeklatsch genießen und hinterher noch auf den BiWuBären-Weihnachtsmarkt gehen (von dem es übrigens beim nächsten Mal ganz viel zu sehen gibt... wir wollen unbedingt noch die 3-Tassen-Tee-Marke bei Betsy knacken! *grins*). Wir wünschen Euch eine schöne Woche - und sollte der Weihnachtsstress doch mal um die Ecke lugen dann erinnert Euch: Gaudete! ;O)

2. Advent

Hallo,

 

wie Ihr seht, haben Rosey und ich wieder die Kaffeeklatschtasse geentert und begrüßen Euch herzlich!
... as you can see Rosey and I have entered the "Kaffeeklatsch"-cup once more and are greeting you cordially!

               

Nun haben wir schon den 2. Advent... ich vermute es ja schon lange... zur Weihnachtszeit läuft die Zeit noch mal schneller als sonst. *schmunzel* Verlieren wir also besser keine Zeit und fangen gleich an... denn wir haben heute wieder viel vor (Mal schauen, ob unsere liebe Freundin Betsy diesmal 3 Tassen Tee beim Lesen dieses Posts schafft... letzte Woche waren es laut ihren Angaben schon mal zwei... *lach*). Habt Ihr denn alle am Nikolaustag etwas Schönes im Stiefel gefunden? Normalerweise sind wir da benachteiligt, weil BiWuBärchen halt keine Schuhe tragen... aber wir haben ja zum Glück gute Freunde... so wie unsere liebe Ilona, unter deren zahlreichen Überraschungspäckchen auch einige dabei waren, die am Nikolaustag geöffnet werden sollten.

Now it's already Advent 2nd... I'm suspecting it since some time... during Christmas season time is running even faster than usual. *smile* So let's not waste any time and start right away... because we have once more enough on our schedule (Let's see if our dear friend Betsy will be in need of 3 cups of tea while reading this post... according to her it took 2 last week... *LOL*) Have you been lucky to find something nice in your bootie at St. Nicolas Day (For our foreign readers: In Germany it's common to put your boot in front of your door late at Dec 5th to find it filled with sweets and goodies by St. Nicolas the next day if you've been good... if you've not been good you might happen to find pieces of coal... *shudder*) Usually we are a bit of handicapped with this because BiWuBearies never wear shoes... but we're lucky to have good friends... like our dear Ilona, among her several surprise packages were some which were dedicated for being opened at St. Nicolas Day.

                

Selbstverständlich hatte ich mein Paket wieder mal ruckizucki geöffnet - ich habe schließlich einen Ruf als amtierender Champion im Paketeöffnen in der Bärchenklasse bis 10 cm zu verlieren - da hatte Rosey gerade mal eine Ecke frei gelegt. *kicher*
Of course I've opened my package once more in a wink of an eye - I have to think of my reputation as the world champion in opening parcels in the beary class up to 10 cm - when Rosey had just managed to free one small edge. *giggle*

                    

 Aber natürlich habe ich sie - Gentlebär, der ich ja bin (außerdem kann ich nach wie vor jeden Pluspunkt im Goldenen Buch des Weihnachtsmannes gebrauchen) - gefragt, ob sie eine helfende Pfote benötigt. Da hat sie mich groß angeschaut und irgendwas gemurmelt... hab's nicht genau verstanden... irgendwas mit "ich fass es nicht" und "ich krieg wieder Kopfweh". *hihi* Aber irgendwann hatte sogar Rosey ihr Geschenk geöffnet... und Birgit und meine Oma alias Birgits Mama alias die stille Blogleserin ebenso... und alles zusammen sieht dann so aus:
But of course - being the gentlebeary that I am (still being in need of every single good point in Santa's Golden Book) - I've offered to give her a helping paw. She looked at me with eyes wide open and muttered something I couldn't understand... something like "I can't stand it" and "it's that old headache again". *teehee* But sometime even Rosey had opened her present... and Birgit and my Granny aka Birgit's Mom aka the silent blogreader opened theirs too... and all together it looked like this:

                

Wie toll ist das denn? Jeder von uns hat seinen Anfangsbuchstaben in Schokoladenform bekommen! *yummy* Ob ich mal mit meiner Oma diskutieren sollte, dass das "S" nicht nur für ihren Namen sondern auch für "Strawberry" stehen könnte? *hihi* Aber Sinterklaas hat uns noch mehr gebracht...
How great is that? All of us received our first letter in chocolate shape! *yummy* Should I have a talk with my Granny that the "S" of her name might also stand for "Strawberry"? *teehee* But Sinterklaas (the Dutch expression for St. Nick) brought even more to us...
               

                 

Diese Spekulatiuspuppe ist fast zu schön zum Essen... aber notfalls werde ich mich dafür opfern... *pfiffel* Ganz bestimmt nicht gegessen werden aber diese Beiden:
This dollie made of speculaas (a typical spiced Christmas cookie very common in Germany and the Netherlands) is almost too lovely to be eaten... but in the end I might sacrifice myself to do it... *tweet* But in no way these two will end as food:

              

Sinterklaas und der Zwarte Piet... sind die nicht niedlich? Zwei Paare haben wir bekommen, eines hat sich gleich meine Oma gesichert, das andere Paar gibt Birgit nicht her... die Zwei bereichern nun die Weihnachtsdeko. Und rechtzeitig zum Nikolaus erhielten wir noch diese wunderschöne Weihnachtskarte aus den Niederlanden.
Sinterklaas and the Zwarte Piet, the two main characters of the Dutch way to celebrate St. Nicolas Day... aren't they cute? We received two pairs, my Granny secured the first pair for herself and Birgit won't let go the other pair... these two will now become a part of our Christmas decoration. And right in time for St. Nicolas we've also received this beautiful Christmas card coming from the Netherlands.
 

 

Und wer jetzt gedacht hat... Moment... Niederlande... Marjolein-Bastin-Motiv... die Karte muss von Ilona sein... tja, was soll ich sagen... der hat falsch gedacht! *lach* Allerdings nicht allzu sehr, denn dieser Gruß kam von Ilonas Tochter Paulien und deren Freund Mark... Birgit hat die Beiden ja letztes Jahr kennen lernen dürfen (Vielen, vielen Dank, Ihr Lieben - wir haben uns riesig gefreut! Und bei der Gelegenheit auch noch mal ein Riesen-Dankeschön an Ilona!!!). Bleiben wir gleich bei Ilona, denn wir möchten Euch gerne zeigen, was Birgit ihr... oder eigentlich dem BiWuBären-Schneemann Schepje und Mini-Loon, der kleinen Ausgabe von Ilona, zum Sinterklaas geschenkt hat...
And all of you who have been thinking now... wait a minute... the Netherlands... a picture by Marjolein Bastin... this card must be sent by Ilona... well, what am I supposed to say... you were wrong! *LOL* But in fact not too far away from being right because this greeting came from Ilona's daughter Paulien and her partner Mark... Birgit has met both of them last year (Dear Paulien and Mark, thank you so much... we have been very touched! And while we're already saying thanks - once more a huge "Thank you!" to Ilona!!!) Speaking about Ilona we would like to show you what Birgit gave to her... or let's better say to the BiWuBeary snowman Schepje and to Mini-Loon, the tiny version of Ilona, at Sinterklaas-Day...

 

 

 Schnee für Schepje und Blau für Mini-Loon... *schmunzel* Birgit hat dieses Jahr drei von diesen Weihnachtsbäumen gemacht. Der Erste war ein Versuch in Birgits Etsy-Shop, der sehr schnell verkauft wurde und so aussah:

Der Zweite war der für Ilona und den Dritten musste Birgit machen, weil ihre Tante Kirsten den Ersten gesehen und kundgetan hat, dass sie auch gerne so einen hätte - und der sah so aus:

Nach Glashütte, Weihnachtsbäckerei und Zuckerbäcker geht es heute zur Erzgebirgischen Holzkunst und zu Teddys Stand. Wie immer gibt es bei der Erzgebirgischen Holzkunst die wunderbarsten Kunstwerke aus Holz zu bestaunen:

As usual the "Erzgebirgische Holzkunst" offers the most wonderful art pieces made of wood ("Erzgebirgische Holzkunst" means wood art from the Ore Mountains, a region in Saxony which is famous and a synonyme for traditional Christmas wood art like "Schwibbögen", Christmas pyramids and wooden ornaments):

Wir sind ja alle schon so gespannt, ob sich unser Sabienchen dieses Jahr endlich für irgend etwas aus dem Erzgebirgssortiment entscheiden kann... *lach* Genug Geld hat sie ja über die Jahre angespart... trotzdem... so richtig daran glauben tun wir alle nicht mehr, dass sie sich irgendwann für eine Krippe entscheidet... oder einen Schwibbogen... oder... ach... irgendwie kann ich Sabienchen sogar verstehen... die Sachen sind wirklich alle toll. Aber nun weiter zu Teddys Stand...
All of us are already so excited whether our Sabienchen will finally be able to decide what to buy from the Ore Mountains range this year... *LOL* She saved enough money over the years... nevertheless... all of us can hardly believe she will ever decide to buy a nativity... or a "Schwibbogen"... or... my... somehow I'm able to understand Sabienchen... all these pieces are indeed stunning. But now let's continue with Teddy's booth... 

            

Wie Ihr seht, hat sich unser Freund Teddy extra Zeit genommen, um unsere lieben Blogbesucher bärsönlich zu begrüßen. Mit Teddys Stand (Teddy und Bude von Hermann Teddy Original... wobei die Bude natürlich nicht mehr original ist, da gab's eine ordentliche Dosis Birgit-Touch drauf) hat vor vielen Jahren unser Weihnachtsmarkt seinen Anfang genommen. Hier kann man wirklich alles für's Fest kaufen:

Bekanntermaßen nach dem Originalrezept seiner Schwiegermutter... *grins* Ja, es sind doch all diese kleinen Geschichten und Traditionen, die Weihnachten so besonders machen. Mal ehrlich... was bedeutet Weihnachten für Euch? Wir mussten uns diese Frage stellen... vor allem Birgit... das bleibt nicht aus, wenn man Weihnachten in einen Schrank packen will. Also, was ist Weihnachten? Kommt mir jetzt bitte nicht mit solchen Antworten wie Stress, Konsumterror oder Geschenkewahnsinn, das ist nicht Weihnachten sondern nur von Menschen zur Weihnachtszeit gemachte Probleme, so was könnte einem Bärchen nie passieren. *grins*
As we all know he brews it using the recipe of his Mother-in-law... *grin* Yes, it's the little stories and traditions that make Christmas so special. Honestly... what does Christmas mean to you? We had to face this question... especially Birgit... because one has no other choice after deciding to put Christmas in a cabinet. So, what is Christmas? But don't tell me anything in the range of stress, shopping terror or gift craziness, that's not Christmas but indeed problems made by mankind during Christmas time, something like this would never happen to a beary. *grin*

 Ohne Anspruch auf Vollständigkeit versuchen wir es mal mit Friede, Freude, Familie, Freundschaft, Zuhause, Geselligkeit, Feiern, Großzügigkeit, Nächstenliebe, Geschenke, Weihnachtsdekoration, gutes Essen (hey, ich bin ein Bärchen... mir ist das wichtig!), Musik, aber auch Stille... klar, "Stille Nacht", Andacht, Licht ins Dunkel und in unserer Region (tut mir leid für meine Birgit) Schnee. Und es gehören so viele schöne Dinge und Symbole untrennbar dazu... z. B. der Weihnachtsmann, Sterne, Glocken, Schneeflocken, Kerzen, Schneemänner, Winterfreude, Bescherung, Winteridylle, die typischen Leckereien wie z. B. Lebkuchen und die klassische Deko wie Tannengestecke und Schwibbögen, Weihnachtsbaum, Weihnachtsmarkt, alle Rentiere des Weihnachtsmannes (wir haben es hier schließlich mit Birgit zu tun *lach*) und nicht zu vergessen das Kind in der Krippe. Uns würde sicherlich noch viel mehr einfallen... aber die Liste ist so schon lang genug... jedenfalls will Birgit all diese "Dinge" in ihren grünen Schrank packen. Zum Beispiel so:
Without claiming to name each and everything we give it a try with peace, joy, family, friendship, home, being together, celebrating, generosity, charity, gifts, Christmas decorations, good meals (hey, I'm a beary... that's important to me!), music, but also silence... sure, "Silent Night", reverence, lights in darkness and in our area (I'm sorry for my Birgit) snow. And there are so many lovely things and symbols belonging to Christmas... for example Santa Claus, stars, bells, snowflakes, candles, snowmen, winter joy, present giving, winter wonderland, all the typical treats like for example gingerbread and the classical decorations like fir arrangements or "Schwibbögen", Christmas tree, Christmas Market, all of Santa's reindeers (what else to expect if Birgit is in charge *LOL*) and not to forget the child born in a manger. Of course we could come up with many more... but the list is already long enough... anyhow Birgit plans to put all these things in her green cabinet. For example this way:
              

Mal sehen: Stern - check. Schneeflocke - check. Weihnachtsbaum - check. Obwohl... da geht doch noch was... da war doch noch der wunderschöne winzige Weihnachtsbaum, den Tatiana uns vor einiger Zeit geschenkt hat.
Let's see: Star - check. Snowflake - check. Christmas tree - check. Nevertheless... we could do better... remembering there was still the beautiful tiny Christmas tree given to us by Tatiana some time ago.
        

Ja, genau den... weil es aber bei Birgit an Weihnachten ohne rot irgendwie nicht geht (bei mir ist das ja das ganze Jahr über so... erdbeerrot... hach... äh... zurück zum Thema...) gab es noch eine kleine Ergänzung.
Yes, this one... but because Birgit can't miss red at Chrismas (a state I'm in during the whole year... strawberry red... sigh... eh... back to the topic...) a small addition was needed.
            

Nun aber: Weihnachtsbaum - check. Und jetzt können wir so einiges abhaken:

Hallo auch von mir... und willkommen zu "Basteln zur Weihnachtszeit mit Rosey und Birgit"! *strahl* Ja, Birgit und ich haben uns zu einer Spontan-Bastelei entschlossen, denn es gibt da etwas, was uns Jahr für Jahr nicht gefällt. Jedes Mal, wenn ich im Advent meinen *hüstel* großen Bruder besuche fällt es mir von Neuem auf. Tja, und ich besuche Fluby ja sehr oft zur Weihnachtszeit - mein Flower Cottage lässt sich nun mal nicht weihnachtlich schmücken, um so mehr genieße ich Flubys festliches Heim. Das heißt, innen ist es festlich... außen ist es eher eine Anhäufung von Weihnachtsdeko...
From me too "hello"... and welcome to "Crafting during Christmas time with Rosey and Birgit"! *beams-with-joy* Yes, Birgit and I made a spontaneous crafting decision because there was something annoying us from year to year. Every time I'm visiting my *coughcough* big brother during Advent it bothers me again. Well, and I visit Fluby quite often during Christmas season - sadly my Flower Cottage can't be decorated for Christmas, the more I enjoy Fluby's festive home. That is... inside of his home it is festive... at the outside it's more a space crowed with of Christmas stuff...

Nicht, dass es nicht nett wäre... aber mal ehrlich... das können Birgit und ich doch wohl besser! Also fix ein paar vorhandene Materialien heraus gesucht...
Not that it wasn't nice... but honestly... Birgit and I can do better than this! So we took out a few things from Birgit's stash...
           

... und Birgit ein bisschen mit Farbe und Klebe kleckern lassen.

Man sieht jetzt ja überall diese zum Regal umfunktionierten Schlitten... so was soll Fluby auch haben. Dekoriert haben wir ihn erst mal mit dem, was so zur Hand / Pfote war...
Nowadays these sleighs being changed into a shelf are very popular... we wanted Fluby to have one too. We've decorated it with what came to hand / paw...
          

 Birgit meint, vielleicht macht sie nächstes Jahr noch ein paar Kerzen, egal, sieht auch so gut aus. Nun aber mal aufbauen...
Birgit says maybe she's going to make a few candles next year, anyway, it also looks good this way. Now I'm going to put everything in place...
