Der Doppelbaum

Hallo,

... as you all know I have been the blogbeary on duty for quite a while... and still Birgit manages to surprise me... *LOL* After Gertie Gumthrop's planting table was finished the greenery for the roof garden was for sure on Birgit's to-do-list. And what do you suppose was Birgit's first contribution for bringing green to the roof garden?

Don't worry - the answer to this totally rhetorical question is about to follow at once because nobody could ever guess that: A new magical tree!!! OMG... another tree... I still remember after finishing Family Magictree Madame's announcement "I can't stand to make any more handmade leaves!" Well, okay... after this Birgit was building Orlin's bed with many, many more leaves... and afterwards she announced "Now I can't really stand to make any more handmade leaves!!!" And now the same woman who said in person she couldn't stand to make any more handmade leaves announces she's planning to create another tree... Well, I'm not saying anything about this... no, no, my lips are sealed and I can't risk to gain any bad points in Santa's Golden Book because it's never too early to have this in mind and I don't want to have to go to bed barefooted again so I'm not going to comment this at all... *shows-a-broad-grin* Instead of this I'm going to show you the beginning of the new magical tree.

This piece made of paper mache had been for long in Birgit's Somewhen-for-Somewhat-boxes. Actually it's intended to be a holder for rings and other jewelry... but in Birgit's opinion this had potential to be of use for her. And so she added some thin branches to it using toothpicks and started to cover the whole thing with airdry clay.

Eh... somehow this doesn't seem to be the most happiest chap in the magic woods, does he?

And the bad mood wasn't only caused from the still missing paint because after a meeting with Birgit's brushes and some "moss" he still looked as grumpy as before...

And my hopes he might look less grumpy after having the first leaves on his branches weren't fulfilled...

... and even when he finally had all his leaves he didn't cheer up, not a single bit.

But luckily not the whole magical tree is in a bad mood... there is also a happy side to be discovered.

No doubt about it... this one is a happy guy!

And I'm convinced deep inside he too is a nice chap...

*kicher*
... because this tree is for sure a real multiple personality. These magical trees are called Doubletrees and they are very rare... See, bearsonally I do not know more than this single one... *giggle*

And now there's only one thing left to do for today - and who would have guessed... even my little sis' is showing up for this...

Wir wünschen Euch allen wunderschöne Ostertage!
We're wishing to all of you Happy Easter!

"Duckundweg"

Liebe Grüße
Ulrike

Halloooooooo!!! I really love, love this great find for making a magical tree with its two sided faces for Gertie roof garden :D! I guess Birgit now needs quite some plasters at her sore fingers, after making so much leaves ;)! What a lot of work, but it's worth it, the tree is awesome!
I wish you all lovely and cosy Easter days :D!!
Liebe Grüsse, Schepje und Ilona

Oh Wow!!! What a Fantastic and Original Creation!!! You might only Ever meet the One Mr. Doubletrees, Fluby, because there Might only BE One of them!!! LOL!!! Yes, he is a Wonder with his Double "Tree-ality"!!! But I think he is Charming (or at least part of him is...) and will surely provide lots of amusement to anyone who visits Gertie's Garden! Imagine the differences of Opinion they the Two of them might have! LOL! I hope you will stay on the "right" side of Mr. Doubletree and that he isn't like the "Whomping Willow" when he is annoyed! As usual, Birgit has out-done even herself with creativity using ready to hand materials!!! That ring holder certainly is a great and useful starting point! What a Fantastic Creation!!!! :)

Glückwunsch zu dem tollen Zauberbaum! Er ist WUNDERBAR! :)

Einfach super! :)
