Oktober??? Darauf einen Kaffeeklatsch...

Hallo,

*lach*
… I don't know about you… but I'm really not able to get this into my head… OCTOBER??? How can this be - where did those 9 months go to? And it's terrifying how little time is left to earn me some good points in Santa's Golden Book *gulp* But okay... autumn has its lovely sides too - for example you're able to make yourself comfortable and cozy inside. Perhaps that's somehow an explanation why Rosey and I currently enjoy climbing into a mug and reanimating our Sundayafternoon-"Kaffeeklatsch". *LOL*

But autumn is of course also the perfect time for crafting… that's why Rosey and I have been very busy working on our house projects. Assembling these tiny pieces of furniture made us sweat somehow; even after activating Plan B (you know by now… "Keep calm and call Birgit" *grin*) it's still not easy for bearies like us. My little sis' is actually an experienced crafter but even she had to struggle with the striped "fabric" she had chosen for the sofas of Flower Hut.

That's why Rosey was still very busy when I visited her to show her my first finished sofa.

But Rosey jumped up from her working desk at once to have a look at my first finished piece of furniture that I have built all on my own... well… eh... with a little help from my Birgit *tweet*. And I am really proud that Rosey liked it - my little sis' may be a pain in the neck but she is also a beary of good taste and she knows a lot when it comes to crafts… (Eh... ooops… dear Santa, I really didn't want to say "pain in the neck"... *pant*)

I'm really happy with my choice of using this lovely strawberry "fabric" - this is how my sofas look like now…

… and even the ones of Rosey were finished some time.

Yes, the stripes are matching perfectly, she made a very good job with this. But of course we also paid attention to other details:

And after this first step we've had quite a good flow in attaching the furniture and also with the decoration...

… until my little sister came to me being very excited right after she had started to build and paint the bed.

I too knew at once that we were having an issue here. Nevertheless we tested it in place in Strawberry Hut...

… and the result was as we had expected: Rats!!! This doesn't fit!

Well, there was only one way out... that's why we were shouting together: "Biiiirgiiiiit!!!" *LOL* I really like easy solutions that lead to nice results! *grin* Thanks to the help of Birgit and a cutter the beds were finished a little later and will still fit after the roofs are attached to the little houses.

The last thing to do was painting the ladders…

… und dann konnte es ans Einrichten gehen. Wir präsentieren: Strawberry Hut und Flower Hut von innen!
… and then we could start to decorate the interior. We proudly present: Strawberry Hut and Flower Hut from the inside!

It's really amazing how different those houses look just because of the different Colour scheme, isn't it?

Next time we will hopefully be able to show you the completely finished houses… especially now in autumn it's quite nice to have a roof on top of your house. *smile* More than nice, to be more exact a true burner, was a message we received from dear Pilar a few days ago who told us about a surprise on her blog. And indeed… Pilar (who is a true magician with crochet hook and wool) had crocheted two enchanting little bearies… both of them being apparently inspired by a certain flutterybeary with a little weakness for strawberries… *blush* (Link to Pilar's blog and the post we're talking about:  http://miniaturasenmimundo.blogspot.com/2018/09/fresioso-y-marrubita.html). Fresioso and Marrubita are their names and they are drop-dead-beautiful… but if this wasn't already enough having the honour of being the inspiration of these two awesome bearies, no, Pilar also offered to us that Marrubita could come to live at our place!!! How great is that??? Just a few days later a big envelope coming from Spain arrived and inside the actual world champion of opening parcels in the beary class up to 10 cm found in the wink of an eye this beautiful package.

Darin befand sich eine dunkelgrüne Schachtel...
Inside of this was a dark green box...

… and it was not just because of this and the red paper that we felt like it was Christmas already...

Inside of the box we found this:

As if it hadn't been enough joy being able to welcome sweet little Marrubita here at our place… no, Pilar has also included some additional gifts: A jar with strawberry pieces (*sigh*) and this incredibly gorgeous bag. How can someone be able to crochet something so beautiful?? But the most beautiful gift of all was for sure Marrubita!

Right now I'm able to understand what's meant by "fatherly pride"... *beams-with-joy* I will always be there for you, little Marrubita, and we will have it nice together in Strawberry Cottage and... eh... wait a moooooment! What??? I can't stand it, what did Rosey just say?

Rosey (kichert): Ich fand's lustig... Du hättest mal Dein Gesicht sehen sollen!!! Herrlich... oh... warte mal... da ist ja noch was!
Rosey: Yes, Fluby, although I'm sorry... but I have to remind you of the house rules… You know: If it's pink it belongs to me!
Flutterby: *…*
Rosey: I can't help it... Marrubita's colour is actually dark pink...
Flutterby: *…*
Rosey (laughing): Hahaha! No, don't worry, I would not bother you this way - despite of the house rules. Marrubita needs to stay with you for sure!
Flutterby: Oh my… my nerves… you shouldn't do this too often to me...
Rosey (giggling): According to me this was funny... you should have seen your face!!! Great... oh... wait a moment… there's still something in there!

Flutterby: Huh... even more?
Rosey: Look... you won't believe your eyes!!!
Flutterby: Unbelievable… a tiny strawberry. Is this also crochet work???
Rosey: Yes, it was crocheted… incredible!

Flutterby: Weißt Du was, Rosey?
Flutterby: Na, dann lass uns lieber "Danke" sagen!
Rosey: Okay, dann mal los...
Flutterby: Listen, Rosey… I think in this special case we should go back to the house rules… then you can also own something beautiful made by Pilar in Flower Cottage and whenever I'm visiting you I will be able to find this fantastic strawberry among all this pink and girlie stuff…
Roey: Wow... how generous… I may keep the strawberry… you can't deny it - Christmas isn't that far away anymore!
Flutterby (grinning): Sure... and don't forget about the house rules: If it's red it belongs to me!
Rosey (grinning back): If you should start to babble about "strawberries, sweet, red, juicy, aromatic strawberries" now I'm going to scream!
Flutterby: Well, then let's better say "Thanks" instead!
Rosey: Okay, let's go…

We have made two additional photos that will hopefully show to you how incredibly beautiful Marrubita, the tiny strawberry and the awesome bag are made:

Bearsonally I'm thinking that this bag will also match well during Christmas time... And speaking of Christmas... I am for sure in need of every single good point in Santa's Golden Book... and of course I'm also a gentlebeary from top to toe that's why I've helped my Birgit once more with the update of her calendars at October 1st. Our wisdom calendar shows as usual a lovely photo and this time the saying is by Friedrich Schiller, he said living means to dream but being wise would mean to dream pleasingly.

Who am I to disagree with one of our most important German authors?! *LOL* Besides of this he's right… that's why we're wishing to you the wisdom to dream pleasingly. And whenever you're not able to dream it's still possible to make your lives pleasingly… for example with a nice and cozy Sundayafternoon-"Kaffeeklatsch" (my, what a bridge… even Schiller would not have been able to do it any better… *teehee*) And for this we're wishing you loads of fun later on, having one, two cups of tasty Sundayafternooncoffee and enjoying one, two, three, four pieces of yummy Sundayafternooncake. And of course we're wishing to you a fantastic October!

Liebe Grüße / Hugs
Flutterby

Oh Flutterby, you've won at least one point of Santa Claus, so your story is refreshing like a strawberry.
Rosey and you have furnished your house evenly with the help of Birgit (smile). Marrubita has found a good dad! Congratulations to Pilar for these wise and wonderful gifts

Dear Flutterby and Rosey, your tiny houses are adorable and the furniture is perfect in both; you're lucky! And you look so happy.
Pilar's gifts are amazing.

Hallo Fluby und Rosey! Yes, I fully agree with the both of you: time flies at high speed!! I must say that I love this season as uch as every season, but after this hot summer it's a relief to get back to normal temeratures and in making miniatures is the best way to fill in the darker evenings ;O!
But oh my, you both have been hard at work: the furniture for your tiny houses has become beautiful, each one is just perfect for the tiny house of each of you. Rosey did a good job on the striped fabric for her sofa, hard to do!
But what to say about those tiny detailed accesories, they are gorgeous and I'm so glad to read that the tiny beds will now fit into the bedrooms.
You can be proud on Flower Hut and Strawberry hut, the project has well succeeded. I bet that you both will get more points for good behavior in Santa's golden book....;O?!
What a very sweet and precious gift you got from Pilar, wow!! I know her crochet works, they're always so tiny and so beautifully made, and this tiny and adorable strawberry bear Murrabita and the lovely shopping bag are no exceptions! Thankfully there are more bloggers, who don't see well in the boxes whilst unpacking boxes from friends *teehee* Because you almost forgot that awesome tiny strawberry, it's absolutely magic from Pilar's talented hands, wow! Enjoy it all, dear friends!!
Liebe Grüsse to all of you,
Schepje, Little Me und Ilona

Dear Flutterby, you and Rosey did a wonderful job on the little cottages furniture. I love the beautiful sofas and the beds and most of all, those cute rocking chairs, but what I really loved is the fact that you and Rosey did it all by yourselves with only a little help from Birgit.

Pilar's gifts are fantastic. Enjoy all.

Hugs, Drora

Dear Fluby and Rosey and Birgit too, I agree with you that it is difficult to believe we are in October already! (This thought fills me with a certain dread about some fast approaching deadlines...!)But we will not mention those ideas, because there is so much to enjoy just looking at the Tiny furniture you have completed! The sofas with their special patterns are lovely... and I adore their colorful "feet"!! The tiny rocking chairs are amazing and the beds look just right now that "Plan B" has been applied! LOL! Altogether the tiny houses look so cozy and just right for the two of you! I really enjoyed seeing Rosey's crafting room again... boy, I wish mine looked so well organized! LOL! I Love the new calendar saying about life being about Dreams... and that it is wise to Dream Pleasantly! I think I can follow that advice happily! :):) And as for the surprise from Pilar, tiny Marrubita is adorable! I can understand why Fluby is so attached to him! But I do think this is the first Time I have heard Fluby giving away a "strawberry" of his own choice!!! :):) I suppose Santa will give Fluby extra points for such a kindness! :):)
