Die besten Partys... / The best party...

 Hallo,

... do you know the saying "The best party always happens in the kitchen"? *smile* We thought this was quite suitable for the headline of this post which is of course about the new kitchen of the Beary House. But there was also a bit of "party" because traditionally Birgit happens to get one year older at the end of August. However "party" is relative as you can say a lot about Birgit but for sure not that she was a party animal. However... we had balloons...

*grins*
... and loads of presents - some of coming from our dear friend Ilona who dared after a very long period of self-isolation during the pandemic to go shopping again just because she wanted to send some joy to Birgit. Btw also to me - because I had once more the chance to prove that I am still the champion in opening parcels in the beary class up to 10 cm! Btw I've been so very fast that Birgit did not manage to take a photo... well... what I am supposed to say... the burden of age... *teehee*... oh... oops... it just occurs to me... I need to take care of what I'm saying... eh... *gulp*... you know it well too... we're already finding ourselves in September again! And apart from me not having the tiniest clue where the previous eight months have gone to and that it feels totally wrong that the days are apparently shorter by now this also means that a certain important holiday at the end of the year is coming nearer meaning less and less opportunities for a certain flutterybeary to gain himself some urgently needed good points in the Golden Book. *pant* So let's better continue... there were so many promising packages in the parcel as well as a beautiful card with lovely words and a motif by Marjolein Bastin - as well as these balloons being sent in a very space-saving way. *grin*

Btw these were leftovers from the birthday of Ilona's grandson... which makes them even more special...

But all the other gifts were also very special and chosen with so much love - whether being lovely and useful...

... oder schön und kalorienreich...
... or lovely and full of calories...

... oder schön und gemein. *lach*
... or lovely and mean. *LOL*

This motif with just a little bit of the Eiffel Tower but with plenty of sky without any structure and all of this with the jigsaw pieces in a special cut is for sure a challenge - and we can easily imagine the broad grin on Ilona's face when she was placing this puzzle in her shopping cart. *teehee* And there was another gift yet - this illuminated bottle:

Dearest Ilona - once more also from this place: Thank you from the bottom of our hearts for all your wonderful, thoughtful and amazing gifts... but most of all for your friendship!

It has an engraved writing on it... which caused a lot of eyesweat here... but due to reasons of privacy we are not able to show it here. *grin* Instead of this we're showing the lovely flower arrangement Birgit received from a neighbor for her birthday...

... as well as the stunning handmade bag being a gift from another neighbor.

And although it's just a coincidence the maritime motif reminds for sure of the Beary House and this offers me a perfect bridge. Because today we would like to show you how the kitchen looks after the makeover after everything we've already shown to you was stuffed into it. *LOL* But we're starting with a little reminder how the kitchen furniture looked before the renovation started. And the small mirrors with the shell frames (gifts from Drora) find themselves too at this collage as a reminder.

And because some of the details will hardly be visible anymore later on in the kitchen we're going to show the decorated furniture first in a close-up.

And here it is - the renewed kitchen of the Beary House... but not until we've shown once more a photo of the old kitchen to you:

The renewed version (And please don't wonder: Sadly the lights appear to be very blue in the photos):

Yes, this is  how the kitchen of the Beary House looks now after the makeover. So what still remains is the question what happened to the former dining room... we're going to show this the next time. Today we still need to show what Birgit received from the silent blogreader aka our Granny for her birthday - at least a bit of that because these two kits from Nalladris at the photo are representatives for more kits and gifts.

Link zur kommerziellen Webseite von / link to the commercial website of Nalladris: https://www.nalladris.com/

Of special interest in this context is the the kit for a decorative egg in Fabergé style because this means new supply for even more crazy Birgit ideas... of which some have already become reality and we would like to show these to you today. See, Birgit already had in her Sometime-for-Somewhat-boxes two of these kits by Nalladris for "Fabergé"-eggs as well as kits by Artofmini for decorative eggs on wooden stands. These come along in different varieties of ostrich, greater rhea or goose:

Link zur kommerziellen Webseite von / link to the commercial website of Artofmini: https://www.artofmini.com/en-uk/index.html

In the beginning Birgit played along with the single parts for the stand and mounted and sometimes decorated them to make every stand a single piece. After a coat with a bronze paint they looked like this:

And next the decorating could start - and I've already mentioned it... this is when a good dose of Birgit-craziness... eh... Birgit-touch happened. And if I'm telling you now that the finished decorative eggs were meant to go into the Christmas House you might probably be a little amazed. So here's a bit of background information: Most human beings are not aware of it but the majority of beings in the magical world have a friendly attitude and for example Santa Claus and the Easter Bunny are real good friends. Honestly! And every year for Christmas Santa receives beautiful precious eggs as a gift from the Easter Bunny... and because this already happened since many Christmases meaning already quite a good amount of eggs they can be found everywhere in the workshops at the North Pole and that's why they can also be found in our Christmas House (i. e. the one Birgit needs to continue to work on some day). Believe me - this is how they're really handling this at the North Pole... unless somebody would prefer the theory about the big portion of Birgit-craziness. *broad-grin* However you may decide - this is how presents of the Easter Bunny for Santa Claus look like if my Birgit is also involved in this: *LOL*

Birgit just used the varied stands and the raw plastic eggs - everything else is original Birgit-touch with the help of decorations waiting in the Sometime-for-Somewhat-boxes.

Somehow that's soooooo Birgit, isn't it? *LOL* Nevertheless this makes me wonder... Birgit created decorations for the Christmas House and we're already finding ourselves in September again. This certain holiday at the end of the year which shall not be named at this time of the year (although the shelves in the supermarkets are filled with gingerbread since August) is coming nearer without any mercy. So you will not be surprised that Rosey and I helped Birgit once more at the beginning of September with the update of her several calendars - these are always easy and fast earned good points... *tweet* For September our wisdom calendar offers a lovely sunflower picture (and yes... we could not resist to put a little addition on this photo *smile*) and a saying by Tolstoi. He stated there would be sources of joy/happiness which would never run dry: The beauty of nature, of anmimals and of humans which would never end.

*schmunzel*
I never even expected that the great Tolstoi would offer me such a gorgeous bridge to the next topic... I mean... source of joy and happiness... beauty of nature... and of animals... this fits so well... so without any further words: A cordial welcome to volume 93926 of our *coughcough* beloved series "And once more many pictures of BiWuBearies in the garden". Btw this time in a special edition... because this time we're not the only visitors in the garden. *smile*

Und - habt Ihr all die Bienen entdeckt? *schmunzel*
And - did you spot all those bees? *smile*

And with this we're saying goodbye for today and we're wishing to you all the best for the rest of September - with many sources of joy and happiness! ;O)

Liebe Grüße / Hugs
Flutterby

First off... Happy Birthday Birgit! Hope your day was full of wonderful memories and that this turns out to be your best year yet! It was so nice of Illona to send such lovely gifts, and to sneak in the old balloon blowing up age test, lol! Looks like you passed with flying colors! The puzzle will make a lovely window scene. For a new project, perhaps? After the Christmas house, of course! :O) Your neighbors must love you as much as your blog friends do, and I am so glad that you were thought of in such generous ways!

The original kitchen was warm and inviting, and looked like a whole lot of delicious foods were made there to share among friends. But the remodeled version is absolutely charming! The lighting, the flooring, the colorful wall tiles and the total reimagining of the furnishings and appliances really hit the bullseye! All the nautical influences make for a place that says friendship, and I imagine this will become a regular hang out for the whole gang! It's bright and well appointed, and I can smell the coffee and cakes just by looking at the fabulous photos! I love the textured lower walls, as they add a special detail without trying to hog all of the attention. What a beautiful transformation you have created, and I am sure you have made some very happy occupants!

New kits are so exciting, but in your hands they become more amazing than anyone can dream possible! Those eggs! Oh Birgit! I'll say it again... AMAZING! Beautiful! So many details! How do you come up with these ideas?!? I love them all but the Santa belt? So precious!!!

Tolstoy, wise and wonderful. Too bad I can't read German, lol! War And Peace is still in my nightstand. I keep trying to read it but my arms are too tired at bedtime to hold it up. :O)

Bless the Bearies on buds, butterflies and bees! Beautiful!

A belated Happy Birthday, dearest Birgit! May every day of your life be special and happy!
Enjoy all your gifts. The Eggs are superb. Each is different and hides a lovely surprise in it. It was a lovely kitchen before but it cannot be compared to the renovated kitchen which is stunning. I love to see the marine motivation in it, so in style with the rest of the house.
I have to raise my hat to you for the garden photografy. The butterfly (or what I think is a moth) is fantastic, you can see its feathers. This photo is prize worthy. Flubby and Rosey are as sweet as always among the gorgeous blooms.
Hugs, Drora

Dear Fluby and Rosie and Birgit too, this has to be a Points in the Golden Book Award winning Post due to the sheer amount of territory covered with such fine segues and so many great topics covered!!! Bravo!! And add to that the special subject matter of another Birthday Party come and gone...! (Happy Birthday Birgit!!!!) :):) With so many wonderful, generous and inspiring gifts.... my eyes and brain are still trying to recover from all those absolutely Marvelous Faberge eggs!!!!! WOw! WOW!!! I can't decide on my favorite... but the opening ones have so much beauty and delicacy...! WOW! Did I say I just LOVE them??? And then we have to remember the finished Bearey House Kitchen... such a transformation is worthy of its own awards! The cabinets look great with all the dishes in place and the selection of yummy foods reminds me it is time to go get breakfast! LOL! And I have to confess, that I always Loved whatever Tolstoy has written.... (I have read War and Peace more than once....) and this saying is no exception! Plus it leads directly to an avalanche of Beauty and Flora and Fauna (and bees) in Birgit's amazing and fabulous garden!!! As for the dates on that calendar page... I absolutely Refuse to even think about what they are not saying about a certain unmentionable time of year......!!! :):) I'm having too much fun reading this Wonderful Post!!! :):)
