Hereinspaziert!

Hallo,

... now that the kitchen of the new witch tower has been completed (okay, except for the fire in the oven but I have no doubt that Birgit will get this done real soon), poor froggie inclusive *grin*, it was about time to add a door. It's not that funny having a big hole in the wall...

Well, something had to be done about this - and it came in handy that a door belonged to the kit.

But apart from the still missing paint - this item was really too boring. So Birgit started to craft along. At the beginning I was asking myself what she was up to with those stripes of cardboard and this funny piece with the ring...

... but after another showtime for Birgit and her brushes everything came together and started to make sense!

*schmunzel*
Already not that bad for a witch tower... but something was still missing... something important... But once more Birgit thought of everything... for sure - the new witch tower needed a magical dragon eye, too. Otherwise the inhabitants won't know who's going to visit them! *smile*

But this time Birgit made the dragon eye all by herself, i. e. she took a glass eye from the bearmakers' supply, built some polymer clay and structure paste around it and at the end - what else would you expect - she spread some colour on it. And I've helped her finding the best place for the magical dragon eye.

Hier muss es hin, genau hier! Und dann sieht das so aus:
It has to be fixed here, exactly here! And that's how it looks now:

And this is how the door looks now after being fixed to the tower:

The piece lying before the door is the future stair that will be attached before the door. Birgit had planned to build bigger stairs in front of the door but she had to give up those plans in the meantime. The tower opens and closes via the two front walls  including the wall with the door of course - sadly bigger stairs would be some kind of an obstacle. Well, you can't have everything... ;O)

Liebe Grüße / Hugs
Flutterby

WOW, that beautiful dragon's eye on the door: AWESOME!! Please Fluby, tell to Birgit that this dragon eye is watching to us like a real dragon's eye on the door. That door is very well made, it really looks like a solid door, which will protect anyone who is in the Witch Tower against evil and more............!
Big hugs to you all, Schepje and Ilona

Ohhh! What a Fantastic Eye!!! But I guess anyone who wants to knock on that door better be careful and stand back when it opens! LOL! What if the Dragon breathes fire as it says "come in"! As usual, Birgit has made such a transformation with her paints that it is hard to believe it is the same kit door! It really makes the front of the Tower look well protected!!!
