Hallo,

 

nun ist es so weit - heute dürfen wir die erste Kerze am Adventskranz anzünden und damit beginnt nun endlich offiziell die Weihnachtszeit. Ist ja dieses Jahr leider etwas kürzer, weil bekanntlich der 4. Advent auf Heiligabend fällt... da sollten wir die drei reinen Adventssonntage um so mehr genießen. Tja, und wie genießt man einen Adventssonntag? Na klar... mit einem schönen gemütlichen Adventssonntagsnachmittagskaffeeklatsch!
... the time has come - today we can lit the first candle on our Advent wreath which means the official start of Christmas season. Sadly this year it's shorter than usual because of the well-known fact that the 4th Advent Sunday is on Christmas Eve... well, we should enjoy the three pure Advent Sundays even more then. And what's the way to enjoy an Advent Sunday? Sure... with a nice and cozy Adventsundayafternoon-"Kaffeeklatsch"!
             

                

Wie Ihr seht, haben Rosey und ich noch nicht verlernt, in eine Kaffeetasse zu klettern... *lach* Aber bevor wir unseren Kaffeeklatsch genießen, die erste Kerze anzünden und hinterher noch den BiWuBären-Weihnachtsmarkt besuchen (jippiiie!!!), haben wir noch jede Menge vor. Am Besten fangen wir am Anfang an - dem Monatsanfang. Ja, der Dezember ist da... und ich spare mir jeden Kommentar darüber, dass ich wieder mal keine Ahnung habe, wo der November eigentlich abgeblieben ist. Selbstverständlich habe ich meiner Birgit wie immer beim Aktualisieren ihrer Kalender geholfen, ich bin bekanntermaßen ein Gentlebär von Kopf bis Fuß... und ebenso bekanntermaßen ein Gentlebär, der noch jeden Pluspunkt im Goldenen Buch des Weihnachtsmannes gebrauchen kann *schluck*. Diesen Monat erwartet uns neben einem festlichen Bild ein Spruch von Victor Hugo: "Das höchste Glück des Lebens besteht in der Überzeugung, geliebt zu werden."
As you can see Rosey and I still know how to enter a coffee cup... *LOL* But before we are going to enjoy our "Kaffeeklatsch", lit the first candle and visit the BiWuBeary Christmas Market afterwards (yippiie!!!) there's still a lot of work for us to do. We should better start with the beginning - the beginning of the month. Yes, December is here... and I won't waste any energy with a comment about me not having the smallest clue where November has gone to. Of course I've helped my Birgit as always with updating her calendars, you know I'm a gentlebeary from top to toe... and you also know that I'm a gentlebeary in need of any single good point in Santa's Golden Book *gulp*. This month offers next to a festive picture a saying by Victor Hugo, he said the biggest happiness in life would be the conviction that one is loved.

Nun, in dem Fall bin ich sehr glücklich, denn meine Birgit liebt mich sehr... das merkt man im Dezember übrigens sogar in Kalenderform, denn zu den regulären Kalendern kommen ja nun die schönsten aller Kalender hinzu: Die Adventskalender! *freu* Und selbstverständlich hat Birgit auch in diesem Jahr Roseys und meinen Adventskalender gefüllt, so das uns an jedem Morgen eine liebevolle Überraschung erwartet.
Well, in this case I'm really happy because my Birgit loves me so much... in December btw this even shows in calendars because next to the regular calendars now the most beautiful of all calendars appear: The Advent calendars! *beams-with-joy* And for sure also in this year Birgit has filled Rosey's and my Advent calendars so we do find a sweet surprise every morning.

          

 

Ich verkneife mir auch jede öffentliche Bemerkung darüber, wie froh und dankbar ich bin, dass mein Adventskalender so viel größer ist als der von meiner kleinen Schwester... *grins* Und auch meine Oma alias Birgits Mama alias die stille Blogleserin hat von Birgit wieder einen Adventskalender von Birgit bekommen - und unsere langjährigen Leser wissen jetzt längst, was da als Erstes zum Vorschein kam! Genau... natürlich ein BiWuBärchen... und wie sollte es anders sein... ein BiWuBären-Schneewesen für die Sammlung von Birgits Mama. Hier ist er also - Noel ist sein Name!
And I'm keeping my mouth shut for any remark in public about the fact how happy and grateful I am about my Advent calendar being so much bigger than the one of my little sis'... *grin* And my Granny aka Birgit's Mom aka the silent blog reader too received an Advent calendar again from Birgit - and all of our long-standing readers already know by now what was coming to light right at the beginning! Sure... of course a BiWuBeary... and what else to expect... a BiWuBeary snow being for the collection of Birgit's Mom. So here he is - his name is Noel!

Tolles Motiv, oder? Vor allem der gutaussehende Bursche... kommt mir irgendwie bekannt vor. *kicher* Auch der Inhalt kann sich sehen lassen:

Aber mal ehrlich... die Schoki hat eindeutig Bärchen- und nicht Birgit-Größe... *hihi* Und eigentlich hätte ich mir eine schokoladige Extra-Belohnung verdient - ich musste wieder einmal unter Beweis stellen, dass ich nach wie vor der amtierende Champion im Paketeöffnen in der Bärchenklasse bis 10 cm bin. Ja, stellt Euch vor - es sind tatsächlich bereits die ersten Weihnachtsgrüße eingetroffen! *freu* Der erste Gruß kam von Fabiola (Mille grazie!) - aber den dürfen wir erst an Heiligabend aufmachen. *seufz* Der zweite Gruß kam von Ulrike (Vielen, vielen Dank!!!) und war wunderschön verpackt.
But seriously... this chocolate bar has for sure BiWuBeary- and not Birgit-size... *teehee* And somehow I've just earned myself a chocolaty extra reward - because I had to prove once more that I'm still the champion of opening parcels in the beary class up to 10 cm. Yes, believe it or not - but we've already received the first Christmas greetings! *beams-with-joy* The first greeting came from Fabiola (Mille grazie!) - but we are not allowed to open it before Christmas Eve. *sigh* The second greeting was sent by Ulrike (Many, many thanks!!!) and was beautifully packed.

            
Aber noch viel schöner als die Verpackung war der ausdrückliche Hinweis von Ulrike, dass wir die Päckchen sofort öffnen sollen! Wie toll ist das denn??? Juhuuu... na, das muss man mir doch nicht 2 x sagen... Birgit schon... die hat erst mal nachgefragt, ob das denn auch wirklich in Ordnung ist... es ist nicht immer einfach mit meiner Birgit... aber als das Okay von Ulrike kam, gab es kein Halten mehr - und es wurde sofort klar, warum wir schon auspacken sollten...
But even lovelier than the packaging was the clear notice by Ulrike that we should open the packages at once! How great is that?? Yippiie... well, no need to tell this to me twice... but not for Birgit... she actually asked first if this was really allowed... it's not always that easy with my Birgit... but when Ulrike said it was okay indeed there was no way to stop me anymore - and immediately it was clear why we were supposed to unwrap it already...

Ein Adventskalender-Buch - voll mit schönen Texten, Rezepten und Liedtexten! Und da war noch etwas, das wirklich nicht bis Weihnachten hätte warten dürfen:
An Advent calendar book - full of nice stories, recipes and song lyrics! And there was something else that shouldn't have to wait until Christmas:

Erdbeerschoki!!! Daaaaaaaaanke!!! Obwohl... könnt Ihr Euch das vorstellen?! Rosey hat tatsächlich die Hälfte für sich reklamiert!!! Halloooooo??? Erdbeeren = Fluby! Da hat Rosey aber gemeint, das Bild zeige eindeutig, dass die Füllung rosa sei und die Hausregel sage Pink = Rosey.
Strawberry chocolate!!! Thaaaaaaaaaaaaaanks!!! Anyhow... would you ever believe that?! Rosey actually claimed one half for her!!! Hellooooooo??? Strawberries = Fluby! But Rosey said this picture would clearly show that the filling was pink and the house rule would say Pink = Rosey.

Mir hat es die Sprache verschlagen... Rosey aber hat sich schlapp gelacht über meinen (wie sie meinte) Schockzustand. Ehrlich... so was machen meine Nerven nicht mit!!! Aber nun zu Weihnachtsgruß Nr. 3... und der kam von Ilona (Vielen, vielen Dank!!!!)!
I was speechless for a moment... but Rosey was ROFLing about my (as she said) state of shock. Honestly... my nerves are not made for something like this!!! But now to Christmas greeting No. 3... and this was from Ilona (Many, many thanks!!!!)!

Keine Ahnung, ob sie das hinkriegt!!! *buahaaaahaaaa* Äh... oooops... *schwitz* hoffentlich hat der Weihnachtsmann das jetzt nicht mitbekommen... schnell weiter machen... natürlich hat Ilona auch wieder an eine Karte mit Marjolein-Bastin-Motiv gedacht. Und diese Karte ist besonders schön:

Allerdings ist es eine Schneekarte... aber Birgit meint, in der Form würde sie Schnee auch schön finden, da müsse sie schließlich nicht ihre Schneeschaufel für daten. *grins* Das lässt dann auch Zeit für ein anderes Date - einen ersten Rundgang auf dem BiWuBären-Weihnachtsmarkt! Als erfahrene Blogbärchen haben Rosey und ich Fotos gemacht, als der Weihnachtsmarkt noch im Aufbau und noch nicht eröffnet war.
Nevertheless it's a snow card... but Birgit said in this appearance she too would regard snow being beautiful having in mind that this doesn't make her date her snow shovel. *grin* So there's enough time for another date - a first tour at our BiWuBeary Christmas Market! Being experienced blog bearies Rosey and I were clever enough to take pictures when the Christmas Market was still being built and not opened yet.
               

Auf diese Weise können wir Euch die Buden viel besser zeigen. Heute beginnen wir (von rechts) mit der Glashütte, der Weihnachtsbäckerei und dem Zuckerbäcker.
This way we are able to show you the stalls better. Today we're going to start (from the right) with the "Glashütte" (= the booth selling blown glass), "Weihnachtsbäckerei" (= Christmas Bakery) and "Zuckerbäcker" (= Candy Shop)

Und wer ein gutes Gedächtnis hat, dem ist vielleicht eine kleine Veränderung aufgefallen. Bisher sah der Kugelverkaufsstand der Glashütte so aus:
And those of you having a real good memory might have noticed a little change. So far the ornament sales shelf of the "Glashütte" looked like this:

Damit war Birgit nie so ganz zufrieden - und nun war die Zeit reif für ein Makeover.
But Birgit was never satisfied with this - and now the time had come for a makeover.
          

Sieht doch gleich viel besser aus, oder? *schmunzel* Fünf Glasfiguren, die wir von lieben Blogfreunden geschenkt bekommen haben, wurden auch noch ergänzt:

Die Weihnachtsbäckerei und der Zuckerbäcker kommen dagegen unverändert aber wie in jedem Jahr mit einem Angebot daher, das einem das Wasser im Bärchenmaul zusammen laufen lässt:
"Weihnachtsbäckerei" and "Zuckerbäckerei" had not to go through any changes and come along with a sales offer that will water the mouth of any beary for sure:

Aber Birgit hat natürlich auch noch an ihrem "Weihnachten im Schrank"-Projekt weiter gearbeitet. Inzwischen hat der Schrank einen Anstrich bekommen:
But of course Birgit has also worked on her "Christmas in a cabinet" project. In the meantime the cabinet got a coat of colour:

Man sieht das auf den Bildern nicht so gut, aber das ist ein Metallic-Grün... eine Farbe, die Birgit noch bei weiteren Möbeln einsetzen will. Aber der Schrank wurde nicht nur von außen bearbeitet...
It's doesn't show well in the pictures but this is a metallic green... a colour Birgit is planning to use with other pieces of furniture too. But the cabinet did not just get a treatment on the outside...
           

Was sagt Ihr? Ach, man sieht nicht viel davon? Na, dann machen wir den Schrank doch mal auf... *grins* Tadaaaaa!

Lasst mich raten - nicht ganz das, was Ihr erwartet habt, oder? *lach* Aber Birgit will ja schließlich Weihnachten in einen Schrank packen...
Let me guess - not quite what you've been expecting, is it? *LOL* But remember Birgit's plan is to put Christmas into a cabinet...

Das hier finden Rosey und ich besonders spannend...

Wir werden natürlich berichten, wie es weiter geht und wie Weihnachten nun in diesen Schrank kommt. Aber jetzt ist dieser Post nun wirklich lang genug... und es wird Zeit, die erste Kerze am Adventskranz anzuzünden.
Of course we will continue to report how this is developing and how Christmas is supposed to get into this cabinet. But now this post is long enough for sure... and it's about time to lit the first candle of the Advent wreath...

Wie Ihr seht, hat sich mein Heim wie immer rechtzeitig zum Advent in Christmas Cottage verwandelt. Aber wir dürfen heute ja auch das erste Päckchen von Ilona aufmachen - und das hier war im 1.-Advent-Päckchen:
As you can see my home changed right in time for Advent into Christmas Cottage. And today we are also allowed to open the first package from Ilona - and this is what was hidden inside of the Advent-first-package:

Wie toll ist das denn??? Danke, Ilona, vielen Dank... der Hammer! Birgit war auch total begeistert... ich vermute mal, weil nun noch ein anderes "Naughty kid in town" ist... *grins*

Rosey und ich werden jetzt erst einmal einen schönen gemütlichen Adventssonntagsnachmittagskaffeeklatsch genießen und finden, das wäre auch für Euch eine richtig gute Idee, so ein schöner, gemütlicher Adventssonntagsnachmittagskaffeeklatsch mit ein, zwei Tässchen leckerem Adventssonnntagsnachmittagskaffee und ein, zwei, drei, vier Stückchen oberleckerem Adventssonntagsnachmittagskuchen. Danach werden wir natürlich noch auf den BiWuBärchen-Weihnachtsmarkt gehen und jede Menge Spaß mit unseren Freunden haben. Was immer Ihr heute noch vorhabt, wir wünschen Euch auch eine Menge Spaß und einen schönen 1. Advent und überhaupt eine schöne Adventszeit!

Ein letztes Mal...

nun ist es so weit... wie nicht anders zu erwarten ist hier das für diese Jahreszeit übliche Chaos ausgebrochen und mitten drin zwischen lauter Boxen und Tüten meine Birgit, die natürlich schon längst den offiziellen Startschuss für die Weihnachtssaison gegeben hat mit ihrem traditionellen Stöhnen: "Ich habe einfach zu viel Weihnachtsgedönse!!!" Es ist schon faszinierend, wie dadurch von jetzt auf gleich die Weihnachtsfreude steigt *schmunzel*... und die Vorfreude auf den BiWuBären-Weihnachtsmarkt. Nicht mehr lang und die Buden haben geöffnet... jippieeee... ich freue mich jetzt schon auf Teddys berühmten Punsch - gebraut nach dem Rezept seiner Schwiegermutter.
... the time has come... as one could expected the usual chaos being typical for this time of the year is reigning at our place and somewhere between all the boxes and bags my Birgit is found who of course has already given the official start of Christmas season with her traditional moaning "I have for sure too much Christmas stuff!!!" It's indeed fascinating how much influence this has on the Christmas joy *smile*... and the anticipation of the BiWuBeary Christmas Market. Not that long anymore and the stalls will be open... yippiiiiieeee... I'm so looking forward to Teddy's famous mulled wine - brewed after the recipe of this Mother-in-law.

 

Aber bei aller Vorfreude ist auch ein bisschen Wehmut dabei... (mal ganz abgesehen von der ständig wachsenden Panik ob es mir gelungen ist, genug Pluspunkte im Goldenen Buch des Weihnachtsmannes zu sammeln... oh, diese Ungewissheit... ob der Weihnachtsmann wirklich alles sieht? Ich meine ALLES... jede einzelne Flatterbärchenpfote, die sich ohne Erlaubnis in ein Bonbonglas begeben hat? Dann bin ich geliefert... das hole ich mit Kalenderumblättern nicht raus... äh... wo war ich... ach ja... Wehmut...), denn wenn die Weihnachtszeit kommt, muss ich mich von Strawberry Cottage und von meinem Garten verabschieden. Der Abschied von Strawberry Cottage geht ja noch, weil sich mein Haus dann in Christmas Cottage verwandelt... aber der Garten kommt nun für ein paar Wochen ins Winterquartier. Grund genug für Rosey und mich, uns ein letztes Mal in diesem Jahr in meinem Garten zu einem gemütlichen Kaffeeklatsch zu treffen.
But despite all the happy anticipation there's also a bit of melancholy around... (not to mention the steadily increasing panic whether I've succeeded in earning me enough good points in Santa's Golden Book... my, this uncertainty... does Santa really notice everything? I mean EVERYTHING... every single flutterybeary paw diving into a candy jar without permission? In that case I'm doomed... I won't be able to even this with turning calendar pages... eh... where was I... oh yes... melancholy...) because when Christmas season starts it's time for me to say goodbye to Strawberry Cottage and my garden. Saying goodbye to Strawberry Cottage is not that heavy because my house will change into Christmas Cottage... but the garden will stay in its winter quarter for some weeks. Reason enough for Rosey and me to meet for one last time in this year in my garden to enjoy a cozy "Kaffeeklatsch".

            

Ach ja... so ein Garten, in dem man bei jedem Wetter und zu jeder Zeit sitzen kann, ist schon etwas Besonderes. Und während wir zum letzten Mal in 2017 auf meiner Terrasse Erdbeerkuchen genossen haben, haben Rosey und ich versucht uns vorzustellen, wohin Birgits neuestes Bastelprojekt führen könnte. Da sie eben hauptsächlich Chaos verbreitet und anschließend versucht, das wieder zu beseitigen *hihi*, hat sie sich entschieden, die Arbeiten an Bowlers Haus auf nächstes Jahr zu vertagen und stattdessen ein kleines Weihnachtsprojekt in Angriff zu nehmen. Und wir haben nicht schlecht gestaunt... bei dem Projekt geht es um "Weihnachten im Schrank"! Also, Weihnachten im Schuhkarton... das kenne ich... da macht Birgit jedes Jahr mit und packt Schuhkartons voll mit schönen Dingen für bedürftige Kinder in Osteuropa. Aber Weihnachten im Schrank??? Was hat Birgit denn da wieder für merkwürdige Ideen? Aber gut... schauen wir mal... was braucht man wohl als Erstes für "Weihnachten im Schrank"?
Oh my... such a garden where you can sit at any weather situation and any time is for sure something special. And while we were enjoying for the last time in 2017 strawberry cake at my terrace Rosey and I tried to imagine where Birgit's latest crafting project might lead to. Because she's mainly occupied with raising chaos and afterwards fighting against it she has decided to put Bowler's house on hold until next year and to start a small Christmas project instead. And we have been very amazed indeed... this project is about "Christmas in a cabinet"! Well, Christmas in a shoe box... this one I know... Birgit is always joining this by packing shoe boxes with nice things for children in need in Eastern Europe. But Christmas in a cabinet??? What crazy ideas might Birgit come up with again? Anyhow... let's have a look... what are we supposed to need first for "Christmas in a cabinet"?

               

Genau! Einen Schrank! *lach* Wie praktisch, das Birgit einen besonders schönen Schrank zur Hand hatte. Wie man sehen kann, ist das einer von diesen Babydollhouse-Schränken... und ursprünglich hat Birgit auch vorgehabt, daraus ein Miniaturpuppenhaus zu machen.
Sure! A cabinet! *LOL* It came in handy that Birgit had a very nice cabinet in her stash. As you can see it's one of those baby dollhouse cabinets... and in the beginning Birgit's intention was to turn this into a miniature dollhouse.
             

Aber wie so oft bei meiner Birgit blieb es nicht dabei. Sehr schnell wurde aus Plan A "Babydollhouse" Plan B "weihnachtliches Babydollhouse" - was damit zusammen hängt, das Birgits nächstes großes Projekt eine Weihnachtswerkstatt sein wird und dieser Schrank dort einen Platz finden soll. Tja, aber auch Plan B wurde verworfen und nun ist Plan C aktuell... C wie Christmas... "Dollhouse" wurde gestrichen und "weihnachtlich" blieb... also "Weihnachten im Schrank". Ich bärsönlich wäre ja mehr für "Erdbeeren im Schrank" gewesen, aber man kann ja nicht alles haben... ach ja... Erdbeeren... süße, rote, saftige, aromatische Erdbeeren... hach...
But as it often goes with my Birgit plans changed. Not long until Plan A "baby dollhouse" turned into Plan B "Christmas themed baby dollhouse" - that's because Birgit's next big project will be a Christmas workshop and this cabinet is intended to become a part of this. But Plan B was also thrown overboard and now it's the turn of Plan C... C like Christmas... "dollhouse" was deleted and "Christmas" stayed... so now it's "Christmas in a cabinet". Bearsonally I would have favourited "strawberries in a cabinet" but okay, one can't have everything... oh my... strawberries... sweet, red, juicy, aromatic strawberries... *sigh*...

Rosey: Ich bitte sehr darum... aber wenn ich Dich nicht unterbrochen hätte, würdest Du jetzt gerade davon sprechen, dass Du schon wieder eine ganze große Schüssel voll Erdbeeren verputzen könntest...
Flutterby: Ja, das wäre aber doch nun wirklich eine richtig gute Idee... stell Dir mal vor... eine große Schüssel voll mit süßen, roten...

Flutterby: Well, but this would be a brilliant idea for sure... just imagine... a big bowl full of sweet, red...

Rosey: Das halt ich nicht aus... ich kriege schon wieder Kopfweh...
Birgit (aus dem Hintergrund): Wenn Ihr nicht sofort aufhört zu streiten, werde ich dem Weihnachtsmann aber einiges zu erzählen haben!
Flutterby: *schluck*
Rosey: *schluck*
Birgit (aus dem Hintergrund): Immer das Theater mit Euch... dabei habe ich doch wirklich andere Sorgen... zum Beispiel viel zu viel Weihnachtsgedönse...
Flutterby: *schluck*
Rosey: Äh... Fluby...
Flutterby: Jaaa?
Rosey: Meinst Du, wir müssen uns jetzt Sorgen machen... ich meine, in Sachen Goldenes Buch und so?
Flutterby: Also, ich mache mir immer Sorgen in Sachen Goldenes Buch... aber ich mache mir keine Sorgen, dass Birgit ihre Drohung wahr macht und sich beim Weihnachtsmann über uns beschwert.
Rosey: Du meinst, dafür hat sie uns einfach zu gern?
Flutterby (nickt): Einmal das... und zum anderen... sie hat zum Glück keine Zeit dafür...
Rosey (grinst): Du meinst...
Flutterby (grinst noch breiter): Genau... wir haben Glück, dass Birgit so viel Weihnachtsgedönse hat.
Rosey: Und weißt Du, was auch noch Glück wäre?
Flutterby: Ich bin gespannt...
Rosey: I can't stand it... here's my old headache again...
Birgit (from the background): If you two don't stop arguing right now I will have no other choice but to tell Santa a few tales!
Flutterby: *gulp*
Rosey: *gulp*
Birgit (from the background): You are the king and queen of drama... and I have for sure other things to care about... dealing with too much Christmas stuff for example...
Flutterby: *gulp*
Rosey: Eh... Fluby...
Flutterby: Yessss?
Rosey: Do you think we need to worry... I mean regarding the Golden Book and so on?
Flutterby: Well, I'm always worrying about the Golden Book... but I'm not worrying about Birgit to make her threat real and complain about us to Santa.
Rosey: You mean she just likes us too much to do this to us?
Flutterby (nodding): That's for sure... but moreover we're lucky she has no time for this...
Rosey (grinning): You mean...
Flutterby (grinning even broader): Sure... we're lucky that Birgit owns so much Christmas stuff.
Rosey: And do you know in what other case we're lucky too?
Flutterby: Tell me...

Flutterby: Weißt Du was, Rosey?
Rosey: Na?
Flutterby: Manchmal bin ich richtig froh, dass Du meine kleine Schwester bist... Du hast hin und wieder richtig brillante Ideen!
Rosey (lacht): Und ich könnte mir Schlimmeres vorstellen als einen großen Bruder, der ständig Erdbeeren im Kopf hat!

Rudolph mit der roten Nase (grinst): Dürfen es die mit Erdbeergeschmack sein?
Weihnachtsmann (nach kurzer Pause): Ich gehe dann mal das Goldene Buch holen!
Rudolph mit der roten Nase (erschrocken): Aber Du willst doch wohl Fluby und Rosey deswegen keine Minuspunkte geben!
Weihnachtsmann: Nein... nicht Fluby und Rosey. Du kriegst jetzt Minuspunkte... und eine Kürzung der täglichen Karottenration! Kopfschmerztabletten mit Erdbeergeschmack... diese Rentiere heutzutage... keinen Respekt... 
Rudolph mit der roten Nase: *schluck*

Santa Claus: Rudyyyyyy!!!
Rudolph with the red nose: Yes, what's up?
Santa Clause: Do we have some Aspirine somewhere in the house? Flutterby and Rosey are driving me nuts again!
Rudolph with the red nose (grinning): Would you like those with strawberry flavor?
Santa Claus (after a short break): Okay, I'm going to get the Golden Book right now!
Rudolph with the red nose (terrified): But you're not going to give Fluby and Rosey some bad points because of this!
Santa Claus: No... not to Fluby and Rosey. You are the one who earned himself some bad points... and a reduction of the daily carrot supply! Aspirine with strawberry flavor... the reindeers of these days... show no respect at all...
Rudolph with the red nose: *gulp*

Was war denn das jetzt??? Da hat sich der Post gerade irgendwie selbstständig gemacht... *grins* So was kommt wohl dabei raus, wenn Birgit zu beschäftigt ist, um auf uns aufzupassen... *kicher* Und so lange sie noch mit ihrem Weihnachtsgedönse kämpft, werden meine liebe kleine Schwester Rosey  und ich (hoffentlich hat der Weihnachtsmann DAS jetzt gehört...) unseren letzten Gartenkaffeeklatsch genießen, bevor Strawberry Cottage seinen Winterschlaf beginnt... und weiter darüber nachdenken, was es denn nun mit "Weihnachten im Schrank" auf sich haben könnte... ;O)
My, what was this now??? Somehow this post just carried itself away... *grin* So that's what's happening when Birgit is too busy to keep an eye on us... *giggle* And as long as she's still struggling with her Christmas stuff my dear little sister Rosey and I (hopefully Santa did hear THIS now...) will enjoy our very last "Kaffeeklatsch" in the garden before Strawberry Cottage starts hibernation... and will continue to think over what might be the meaning behind "Christmas in a cabinet"... ;O)

Willkommen im November

Hallo,

 

und wieder mal wird's höchste Zeit, den neuen Monat auch hier auf unserem Blog zu begrüßen. Obwohl... Novembeeeeeeeer??? Wie konnte das bitte passieren??? Nun heißt es tapfer sein und der Wahrheit ins Gesicht zu sehen - nicht mehr viele Gelegenheiten übrig, um Pluspunkte im Goldenen Buch des Weihnachtsmannes zu sammeln. *schluck* So gesehen ist der Monatsanfang wenigstens eine weitere Gelegenheit für mich, etwas für mein Punktekonto zu tun (Unter uns... ich kann jeden Pluspunkt gebrauchen... hoffentlich reicht es dann am Ende... oh, diese Ungewissheit... äh... wo war ich...), denn natürlich habe ich - Gentlebär von Kopf bis Fuß - meiner Birgit wieder beim Umstellen ihrer Kalender geholfen. Und unser Sprüchekalender kommt uns diesmal mit einem schönen Bild und einem Zitat von Johannes Mario Simmel: "Wenn jeder Mensch auf der Welt nur einen einzigen anderen Menschen glücklich machte, wäre die ganze Welt glücklich."
... and once more it's really time to welcome the new month on our blog. But... Novembeeeeeeer??? How could this ever happen??? Now it's time to be brave and to face the truth - not many opportunities left to gain some good points in Santa's Golden Book. *gulp* Having this in mind the month's beginning offers at least another chance for me to add something to my point account (Just between us... I am in need of every single point... I can only hope it will be enough in the end... oh my, this uncertainty... eh... where was I...) because being the gentlebeary that I am I've helped my Birgit once more with the update of her calendars. Our wisdom calendar comes along with a nice picture this time and a saying by Austrian novelist Johannes Mario Simmel who said if any person in the world would make just one other person happy the whole world would be happy.
               

              
Ach ja... wenn's man so einfach wär... obwohl... mich glücklich zu machen, ist ziemlich einfach - eine große Schüssel voll mit gewissen süßen, roten, saftigen, aromatischen Früchten reicht da schon. Aber auch ein Ausflug in unseren Garten macht jedes Mal glücklich - und genau den haben Rosey und ich gerade gemacht. Selbstverständlich schön warm eingepackt mit unseren Schals... und so können wir Euch nun Folge 93886 unserer Reihe "Und schon wieder jede Menge Fotos von BiWuBärchen im Garten" präsentieren *grins*:
Oh my... if it was that easy at all... nevertheless... making me happy is indeed very simple - a big bowl full of certain sweet, red, juicy, aromatic fruits would do the job for sure. But a trip to our garden makes happy too - and that's exactly what Rosey and I have done lately. For sure we've been wrapped up warm and cozy in our scarves... and now we are able to present to you volume 93886 of our series "And once more many pictures of BiWuBearies in the garden" *grin*:  
               

Auch im Herbst gibt es noch viel Schönes im Garten zu entdecken - und für Rosey findet sich sogar noch das eine oder andere Blümchen in ihrer Lieblingsfarbe.
Even in autumn so much beauty can be found in the garden - and Rosey is able to find a flower in her favorite colour still.

Trotzdem wird es nicht mehr lange dauern und dann wird die große Laterne vor unserer Haustür weihnachtlich geschmückt.
Nevertheless it won't be long anymore until the big lantern at our entrance will be decorated for Christmas.

          
 Vorher musste sich Birgit aber noch um eine andere Laterne kümmern, genauer gesagt das Lichthaus von unserer Oma alias die stille Blogleserin. Rosey hat ja ein ähnliches Lichthaus in ihrem Garten:
But first Birgit had to take care of another lantern, to be more exact the lighthouse of our Granny aka the silent blog reader. Maybe you remember that Rosey has a similar one in her garden:

Nun, die Aufgabe für Birgit bestand darin, dass unsere Oma gerne bunte Scheiben hinter den Fenstern haben wollte. So einen Wunsch erfüllt Birgit ihrer Mama natürlich gern (unter uns... Birgits Name steht ja auch im Goldenen Buch des Weihnachtsmanns *grins*) und so hat Birgit ihre alten Window Color-Flaschen hervor geholt und bunt drauf los gekleckert.
Well, Birgit's task was the wish of our Granny who wanted to have coloured window glasses. Birgit really likes to fulfil wishes of that kind to her Mom (just between us... Birgit's name can be found in Santa's Golden Book too *grin*) and so Birgit got out her old bottles with window color and started to spread the paint everywhere.
           

            
Schade, dass wir nicht helfen durften... aber Birgit meint, die Farbe würde bestimmt schlecht rausgehen aus unserem Fell. Da hat sie wohl Recht... obwohl... ein paar erdbeerrote Sprenkel... hach... äh... also, so sieht das dann am Haus aus:
What a pity we weren't allowed to help... but Birgit says this color could probably be difficult to remove from our fur. I suppose she's right with that... nevertheless... a few strawberry red dots.. my... eh... well, that's how it's looking attached to the house:

Einen kleinen Kranz hat Birgit auch noch spendiert - und beleuchtet sieht das nun so aus:

Nun gibt das Lichthaus ein echt spektakuläres Licht - und ein Unikat ist auch noch daraus geworden. *schmunzel*

Und damit wünschen wir Euch nun einen wunderschönen November. Wir hier haben schon Wetten laufen, wann zum ersten Mal Birgits traditioneller Ausruf "Ich habe einfach zu viel Weihnachtsgedönse" ertönen wird. *lach* Und natürlich fiebern wir alle schon der Eröffnung des BiWuBären-Weihnachtsmarktes entgegen... *freu*
And with this we're wishing to all of you a great November. At our place we have started to bet when Birgit's traditional moaning "I have for sure too much Christmas stuff" will be heard for the first time. *LOL* And of course all of us are eagerly anticipating the opening of the BiWuBeary Christmas Market... *beams-with-joy*
             

Aber gut, ein wenig dauert es leider noch bis dahin... was für Birgit auch gut ist, denn irgendwie hat sie im November immer viel zu tun. Mal sehen, ob sie noch Zeit zum Basteln übrig hat... ach... ich glaube schon... ;O)
But okay, until then there's still a bit of time left... which is good for Birgit because somehow she's always very busy during November. Let's see if she will have some time left for crafting... my... I suppose she will... ;O)

Happy Lutherween

Hallo,

 

heute ist er nun da - der wichtigste Tag im Jahr... zumindest wenn es nach unseren Hexentürmern geht. Für uns in Deutschland ist ja der 31. Oktober dieses Jahr ein ganz besonderer Tag... wir hoffen, Ihr habt und werdet den einmaligen Feiertag auf ganz besondere Weise nutzen. Ja, vor 500 Jahren hat Martin Luther den Hammer geschwungen... und 500 Jahre später regiert an diesem Tag nun der Kürbis und es heißt "Süßes oder Saures". Dabei war es doch gerade der Ablasshandel, den Luther bekämpfen wollte... *schmunzel* Bedingt durch unsere Freunde aus der magischen Welt halten wir es ja auch mit dem Kürbis... oder besser gesagt den Kürbissen:
... today is the day - the most important day of the year... at least according to our Witch Tower Crew. For us in Germany this October 31st is a very special day this year because we're having an extraordinary, work free holiday to celebrate 500 years of Reformation Day. Yes, 500 years ago Martin Luther was using his hammer to nail his 95 Theses against the door of the All Saints' Church in Wittenberg which started the Reformation. And 500 years later this day is now reigned by the pumpkin and the saying goes "Trick or Treat". Wasn't it the indulgence abuse that Luther wanted to overcome? *smile* Due to our friends from the magical world we too are dealing with the pumpkin... or better to say the pumpkins:

 

Und zur Feier des Tages präsentieren wir heute etwas, womit Ihr bestimmt irgendwie gerechnet habt - genau, das fertige Pumpkin Cottage!
And to celebrate this day we're going to present something which might not come very unexpected - sure, we're showing the finished Pumpkin Cottage!

       

Obwohl... auf den ersten Bildern sieht es noch gar nicht so fertig aus. *grins* Aber ohne das Dach konnte man die Einrichtung besser fotografieren. Auf geht's - Bilderflut!
Even though at the first pictures it doesn't look very finished at all. *grin* But it was much easier to take pictures without the roof. Let's go - picture flood!

Und ist es Euch aufgefallen? Wie schon bei der Küche hat Birgit auch beim oberen Stockwerk wieder einen Bezug zu den Hexentürmen hergestellt.
And did you notice it? For the upper floor Birgit has added a little connection to the witch towers as she already did in the kitchen.

So ein Nachthimmel macht sich eben gut in einem magischen Heim. *schmunzel* Und nun noch mal Pumpkin Cottage von außen:

Ich finde, es ist ein schönes magisches Heim geworden - schade, dass ich viel zu groß bin, um hier einzuziehen. Obwohl... mir würde doch eindeutig beim Ambiente der Bezug zur schönsten aller Früchte fehlen. Ach ja... Erdbeeren... süße, rote, saftige, aromatische Erdbeeren... *seufz* Ich bleibe also lieber in Strawberry Cottage und in Pumpkin Cottage wird Eusebia Featherstone einziehen.
In my opinion this turned out to be a nice magical home - sad somehow that I am far too big to move in. But thinking this over... I would for sure miss a connection to the most wonderful of all fruits in its interior. Oh my... strawberries... sweet, red, juicy, aromatic strawberries... *sigh* I shall better stay in Strawberry Cottage and let Eusebia Featherstone move in.

Wir haben Euch Eusebia und ihre Granny Mathilda (von Joy Cox / Adora Bella Minis) schon vor langer Zeit einmal vorgestellt (und zwar hier) - und genau so lange hat Eusebia geduldig auf ihr Heim gewartet. Unter uns... wenn Birgit einem ein Heim baut, braucht man auch jede Menge Geduld. Fragt wen Ihr wollt... Rosey, Gertie, Mysteria, mich... aber fragt bloß nicht Bowler... *breitgrins* Allerdings muss ich jetzt auch ganz schnell betonen, dass es sich auch wirklich lohnt zu warten, bis Birgit einem ein Haus gebaut hat, Birgit hat jedem von uns ein eigenes Traumhaus gebaut. Und auch Eusebia war echt begeistert - allerdings war die Freude nur sehr kurz... was aber wirklich nicht an Birgit lag. Seht selbst:
We have already introduced Eusebia and her Granny Mathilda (by Joy Cox / Adora Bella Minis) to you a long time ago (look here) - and since all this time Eusebia was patiently waiting to get her new home. Just between us... whenever Birgit builds a home for someone it takes a lot of patience. Ask anybody... Rosey, Gertie, Mysteria, myself... but don't you dare to ask Bowler... *broadgrin* Nevertheless I need to point out that it's always worth to wait until Birgit has built a home, so far Birgit managed to build everybody his or her dream house. And Eusebia too was over the moon - but her happiness wasn't for long... which wasn't Birgit's fault at all. Look yourselves:

Tja... was soll man dazu sagen? Vielleicht hat Eusebia einmal zu viel von einem Wachstumstrank genascht? Birgit war natürlich enttäuscht, denn eigentlich sollten sowohl Pumpkin Cottage samt Möbeln als auch die kleine Hexe dem Maßstab 1:48 entsprechen. Aber das ist nun nicht zu ändern... und Eusebia sagt, sie wird sich hier trotzdem sehr wohl fühlen und wird sich dann viel im Garten aufhalten, den es irgendwann (Betonung auf IRGENDWANN *grins*) auch noch geben wird.
Well... what are we supposed to say? Maybe Eusebia did have one sip too many of a growing potion? Birgit was of course a bit disappointed because Pumpkin Cottage with its furniture as well as the little witch are supposed to be in scale 1:48. But we can't do anything about this... and Eusebia says she will nevertheless enjoy her new home and will spend much time in the garden that is supposed to come some time (with an emphasis on SOME TIME *grin*).

Sie wollte Euch jedenfalls noch einmal zum Abschied winken und wünscht Euch ein schönes Halloween. Da kann ich mich ja nur anschließen, auch ich wünsche Euch... äh... Moment mal... das gibt's doch nicht! Was willst Du denn jetzt schon???
She insisted on waving goodbye to you and would like to wish to all of you a Happy Halloween. I can only agree with her and I'm also wishing to you... eh... wait a moment... I can't believe it! What are you already doing here???

Diese Kürbismänner heutzutage... tssss... keine Manieren... und keine Geduld. *hihi* Hat der etwa wirklich gedacht, ich würde jetzt schon den Post beenden? Also wirklich... doch nicht ohne einen ganz speziellen Gruß zu Halloween von uns allen:
