Hallo,
*lach*
... and welcome to one more "Kaffeklatsch". We're still having August but around here autumn has already taken over. For example you notice it when looking at the apples who have grown big already and are shining with their rosey cheeks out of the trees... or are climbing into the "Kafeeklatsch"-cup for the "Kaffeeklatsch"! *LOL*

Yes, today it's once more my turn - and for all of you who might not know me by now: I am Granny Smith, the apple beary among the BiWuBears... and the wellknown guard of our two-tree apple plantation in our garden - which sadly only consists of 1 1/2 apple trees now. *sigh* Yes, one of our apple trees caught itself a bad infection. Luckily the other tree stayed healthy and the parts of the sick tree that are still there after a brutal cut are still healthy, too. Somehow it appears to us that the healthy tree decided to compensate the loss of his sick buddy... it's totally filled with really big apples this year - have a look:

Our apples aren't ripe enough for being harvested yet... but once they'll be ready apple pie would be for sure a great idea. And speaking of great ideas and having in mind that today is Sunday... a nice Sundayafternoon-"Kaffeeklatsch" is always a very good idea. *smile* And that's why I'm wishing you loads of fun later on while having one, two cups of tasty Sundayafternooncoffee and enjoying one, two, three, four pieces of yummy Sundayafternooncake. And of course I'm wishing to all of you a great week on top - enjoy the last week of August!

Granny S is in such a pretty green colour and yes this little bear looks like an apple with his round tummy to me. :)

Have a great Sunday and thw whole week ahead!
Hugs and kisses
bonitas manzanas!
Hi Granny Smith, I hope you had apple cake with your coffee today. The apple trees look healthy now.
Hugs Wilbur
So sorry to hear about the apple tree! Luckily you managed to save half of it.
Those are some big apples you have!
Autumn has started here with lots and lots of rain.
so today was a day of baking: blueberry cornbread and oatmeal cookies.
That would go well with a Kaffeklatsch don't you think?
;-)
Those apples look yummy. I love apple pie. It feels very much like Autumn here too :( I love Autumn but the summer seemed so short. Have a wonderful Sunday coffee party.
Hugs Maria
Oh, Granny Smith you look so happy climbing in those apple Trees! You really "match" the apples perfectly, too! So you better stay far away when the day comes for harvesting the apples and making them into pie.... we wouldn't want a "mistake" to happen to you!!! But for today it seems you are safe in the kitchen...! LOL!
We are seeing the signs of Fall over here too... it feels a bit early for cool nights and falling leaves! *Sigh* I guess I will have to cheer myself up with thoughts of Coffeecake.... and maybe even Christmas!!! LOL!!
Mmm, apply pie sounds wonderful right now! Enjoy that wonderful coffee party this afternoon, and don't forget to eat a piece of cake for me! xo Jennifer
Ulrike
Dear Granny Smith, I hope you had
a wonderful Sunday Kaffeeklatsch
yesterday. The apples on the
tree and the photos look very beautiful. I didn't G.S. apples
had rosy cheeks. Here they are very
large and very green allover but
make the best apply cakes.
Hugs, Drora

Hugs~J
Melli
Granny Smith, you looks fantastic. I like your color.
Yes, autumn is here as well, so much earlier than usual, there are berries and fruits ripening in the garden, but like yours, our apples are not quite ready for a pie yet.
And what a lovely looking bear you are too! I hope you don't get lost amongst the leaves on the apple tree, they won't turn golden for a few more weeks yet!! ;)
