Füllstoff für Flower Cottage

Hallo,

... slowly but steady the day comes nearer when I can finally move into my beautiful Flower Cottage. I would like to use the remaining time to present you my decoration treasures that will find their places later on there. Many pieces of these were received as gifts from dear blog friends - and being able to have some of these treasures in my home makes me really happy.

We're going to start with all the things that will be standing on the windowsills, on the shelves and on my night table. Ah, I can hardly await seeing all of this finally in place! Let's begin with the decoration I'm going to have at the big windowsill in front of my working desk.

The two beary mugs were a gift from Wyrna and I received the jug with the rose motif as a Christmas present from Ilona - Birgit only decorated these three pieces with paper roses. The two rose bouquets in glass vases were hidden in Birgit's Somewhen-useful-for-something-boxes, they were bought some time ago. The big candle, the small candle in a glass (Birgit's miniature version of a "Yankee Candle" jar candle) as well as the ivy were made by Birgit. Let's continue right away with the other windowsill - the one at my bed window. Here I'm going to enjoy these items:

Well, the teddy (a gift from Melli) will get a much better place than the windowsill - in my bed. But the little birdie (from Lugar Petit) and the two beautiful flower pots given to us from Tatiana will find a place on that windowsill. And next to my bed there will stand a small night table...

We received this table from Drora, Birgit only covered it with a paper she had already used for my other furniture. On it will stand the lovely battery operated lamp Birgit has bought for me. To make it a better match with my interior Birgit painted the lamp stand in silver and added some flowers in my favourite colour! *beams-with-joy* This way it became a true ooak. And to make sure I won't sleep away the day dreaming in my lovely bed I got an alarm clock (from Playmobil, painted by Birgit) and because a flower beary needs to smell good I'm also having my own perfume (gift from Kikka). And because I like reading and especially while being comfortable in my bed Birgit made some books especially for me. Only the lovely diary you can spot in front of the picture was a gift from Manu she made dedicated to me.

Yes, and above my bed there is hanging a big shelf with plenty of space for nice stuff and next to my bed and my door hang some more shelves with a little space for nice stuff *LOL* - for example this:

The small house was a gift from Nina and Birgit bought the felted beary from Lugar Petit as a gift for me. The tiny round ornament with the strawberries on was a gift from Vicky. The horse is from Preiser, painted by Birgit. Living with Birgit means being used to have model horses by Breyer all around - that's why I wanted to have at least one model horse in my house, too. The meringues in the glass were made by Birgit as well as the small picture with the rose and she also painted the tins to my taste. And on the big shelf there will be still enough room for some pictures.

I am totally proud that I am the one getting the picture with the shells from the Sea of Galilee Drora has made for us. Birgit bought the "Keep calm..."-sign from Katie's Clay Corner. And she made the picture with the roses especially for me using a motif of Marjolein Bastin being glued on canvas. Well, and the BiWuBeary Collage is a must-have in every beary house. Ah, I'm so happy with all these gorgeous pieces... nevertheless... there was one small detail... that wasn't quite okay this way.

So, jetzt stimmt alles!!! *schmunzel*
Yes, now everything is perfect!!! *LOL* I hope you've liked this little presentation of my decoration stuff. Anyhow this was just the beginning - the next time I'm going to show you all the wonderful pieces for my working desk... suspense is rising. *teehee* And there's one thing I need to say at the end... only for those who might not have noticed it so far - but I am indeed the most happiest flower beary in the whole wide world!!! *smile*

Kaffeeklatsch (Nr. 211)

Hallo,

... it's us again... yes, all of you who don't care about Soccer need to be tough now! *LOL* Because today it's the final day of the Soccer World Championship... and of course it was a question of honor for the Fan Decimeter of Wankendorf to host the "Kaffeeklatsch" once more!!! And as you can see there are even some more fans with us... but still it's not enough for a fan mile... *grin* But who cares about things like that... small but good as we always say (and in German this saying even rhymes). Well, we're looking forward to watch a good game this evening between Germany and Argentina... may the better team win! And please... may there not be another extratime necessary! *groan* Btw we already know for sure who will win the cup in the end: The team shooting at least one more goal than the other!!! *teehee* Comment of beary experts!

*lach*
And one thing more we know for sure... whether theres a football final later on or not... it's Sunday and later on we will enjoy a nice cozy Sundayafternoon-"Kaffeeklatsch". Because that's always a great idea to make a Sunday extra special. And so we're wishing you loads of fun later on having one, two cups of tasty Sundayafternooncoffee and enjoying one, two, three, four pieces of yummy Sundayafternooncake. And of course we're wishing to all of you a great week on top... and we promise that the Fan Decimeter of Wankendorf won't be back for a long time. But we will be back in two years... when the European Championship starts! *LOL*

Liebe Grüße / Hugs

Frühling im Sommer

Hallo,

wisst Ihr, was mir gerade mal aufgefallen ist?
... do you know what I just noticed? We didn't have a "Once upon a time..."-story for a long time... indeed the last was the one where I - being hero and gentlebear in one bearson - saved Christmas (*click*). Somehow I think this should be changed... so today I'm going to tell you another tale. The tale of spring in summer... and the tale of this piece of fabric I'm showing here...

But of course such a tale needs the right setting... just a moment please...

***

Now I'm back again... and everything is in perfect order... so let's start!

Once upon a time in a country in the very North among the Seas there lived a lady named Birgit who was able to create out of a piece of fabric little BiWuBearies. And at the end of the last winter Birgit thought by herself it would be a nice idea to create a spring beary... because spring was Birgit's favourite time of the year. So Birgit took two pieces of nice green fabric and started to sew... But sadly... she didn't make much progress... there were other things that needed to be done... a Flower Cottage had to be built... and many things more... and for some time Birgit had some serious problems and had to fear never to be able to sew again. But luckily she made it... but in the meantime spring passed away and the green fabric hadn't been transformend into a beary yet. But then came the summer and finally Birgit had all beary pieces done and in the end she had created a new BiWuBeary. And because Birgit can be somehow stubborn every now and then she named the new beary "Primavera"... because it was meant to become a spring beary and why should Birgit care about síde issues like the fact that it was summer meanwhile...

Peevee: Sag mal, Fluby... spinnst Du?
Peevee (augenrollend): Das hast Du jetzt ja wunderbar erklärt.
Peevee: Haha... sehr witzig.
Peevee: Say Fluby... are you nuts? You are telling a "Once upon a time..."-story about me???
Flutterby: Well, somehow I have to explain why the newest member of our BiWuBeary gang is called Primavera... in July!
Peevee (rolling his eyes): You've eplained it very well. And now you can also explain that I absolutely prefer being called Peevee and not Primavera!
Flutterby (giggling): But this needs no explanations at all... no beary guy would ever like to be called Vera...
Peevee: Haha... very funny. I'm going to laugh about this later... gotta check my schedule for maybe five free minutes in 2017.
Flutterby: Come on... this was indeed funny... And except for the magical bearies no BiWuBeary was introduced with a "Once upon a time..."-story yet.
Peevee: Nevertheless I would have prefered being introduced to the blog readers the normal way.
Flutterby: Okay, if you insist... (in a solemnly voice:) Well, dearies, today I'm having the big honor to introduce our newest member of the BiWuBeary family to you - our Peevee who's real name is Primavera because he carries spring in his heart and wears the green of spring in his fur... Was this better? Are you now satisfied, Sir?
Peevee: I'm not going to answer... come on, let's better flutter to the garden, maybe this will stop you from making more nonsense.

Fängst Du schon wieder an???!!!) *schmunzel*
And so Peevee and I visited the summer garden - there's always so much to discover during summertime and there's always so much fun waiting for two small bearies during summertime... even if one of them is a spring beary (Peevee: Fluby!!! Don't start this thing again!!!) *teehee* Okay, I'm really stopping this now... I promise. After all Peevee is a good buddy you can have loads of fun with. Only playing hide-and-seek with him is not the best idea... at least when doing this in a tree... perfect camouflage for him... *smile*

*lach*
In between I need to ask you something: Do you think I've already got a tan? *LOL*

Our blue hydrangea still needs a bit of time until she is in full bloom...

... unsere rosafarbene Hortensie ist da schon weiter.
... while our pink hydrangea is far ahead.

Der Phlox steht in voller Blüte.
The phlox is in full bloom.

Kleiner Snack... *grins*
A little snack... *grin*

Ausruhen in der Petunie...
Chilling in the petunia...

*lach*
... and apparently the "Thinker's Club" is gaining more members! *LOL*

*zwinker*
And there's no denying - Peevee fits in perfectly especially with his colour. And here you can see Peevee once more without flowers and/or company of a flutterybeary. *wink*

And if you would like to watch more pictures of our Peevee then you should visit our homepage-blog (*click*). And in case someone might consider to have permanent spring in bearson of Primavera aka Peevee in his/her home... well, that's possible, just drop by to our adoption office... ;O)

Liebe Grüße / Hugs

Post aus Polen

Hallo,

... well, if the headline already says "Mail from Poland" I bet most of our readers know what to expect now... yes, something beautiful related to our dear Ewa! ;O)

Some time ago Fortuna really treated us kind - because we were the lucky winners of a giveaway at Ewa's blog "The Sunny Hours" and were allowed to choose one of Ewa's handmade miniatures. Well, Birgit did not have to think this over - a cradle was what she has chosen! And Birgit knew right from the beginning that this cradle wasn't meant for a baby but it should become planted with flowers a highlight in the garden of Flower Cottage. And now the big day had come - Ewa's parcel with our win arrived. Well, you all know me - I opened the parcel in the wink of an eye, nevertheless, what was inside was so nicely wrapped that even I agreed that Birgit should take some pictures first.

*freu*
Yes, pictures... because there was not only a box with our cradle inside but also a second box with some extra gifts from Ewa for us! *beams-with-joy*

*yummy*
And Ewa also found a very creative way to stuff the parcel for a safe journey... with loads of delicious treats... *yummy*

But now of course I have to show you the beautiful cradle made by Ewa - and Rosey wanted to join in this event for sure. No surprise, because she is the lucky one getting this fantastic piece.

I may explain this to you: The black arrow is pointing to the engraved "R" which Ewa kindly added especially for the receiving beary. The pink arrow is pointing towards the most happiest flower beary in the whole wide world with the most beautiful cradle that ever stood in the garden of a Flower Cottage. And the red arrow is pointing at a flutterybeary who is just wondering how many sweet, red, juicy, aromatic strawberries might fit into this cradle... *grin* And to give you an impression how this will look like with plants inside we simply put Rosey's geranium pots in there.

Other plants will be chosen but you may already guess how it will look like once the cradle's inside is blooming. But we still have the second box with the extra gifts to check... and inside we found a gorgeous mirrow Ewa made for Rosey, bearsonally so to say.

As you can easily see - she is over the moon with it! I carefully pointed out that the mirror is upside down but she only anwered this way she could perfectly watch herself inside of it. Well... what should I say... a true guy like me is not supposed to understand this kind of stuff... *teehee* But there was still another extra gift from Ewa included - one of her fantastic handmade bags!

How great is that? But Birgit decided that this bag should be dedicated to Gertie Gumthrop - well, she deserves it. And in case you might derserve spoiling yourself - we have been lucky to win these treasures... but of course Ewa's handmade masterpieces can be purchased, it's really worth while to pay her a visit either at her webshop or at her Etsy-shop.

Dearest Ewa - thank you so much for offering this fantastic giveaway and for creating this beautiful, breathtaking piece just for us... and of course thanks for the extras, too! You really spoiled us and made some little bearies, an old herb witch and Birgit totally happy!

Liebe Grüße / Hugs

Kaffeeklatsch (Nr. 210)

Hallo,

... and a heartwarm Welcome to the 1st "Kaffeeklatsch" in July! Last week our Lucky was kind of cheeky when announcing the last "Kaffeeklatsch"! Nevertheless... it was really funny, indeed... *grin* But now I should better introduce myself: I am Rubiel - and I am really happy that I may present a "Kaffeeklatsch" once more.

*zwinker* (Vorsicht, Melli! Fluby mit Schal!!! *lach*)
For this even I am leaving my home - which I usually don't do very often. You must know that I'm living in our Christmas Room - and it's so cozy in there that I can't think of any place that could be better. And of course there it's Christmas every day for me - some may think that this was too much of good stuff, but not for me... I really like it that way... and you can never get enough of something good, can't you? I brought two pictures of my home with me taken during the last Advent when Fluby visited me - of course for a "Kaffeeklatsch", what else?! (Attention, Melli! Fluby with his scarf on!!! *LOL*)

But luckily we're able to enjoy a "Kaffeeklatsch" everywhere and any time, not only in a Christmas Room during Advent. And whenever it's Sunday a "Kaffeeklatsch" is an especially good idea... it's for sure a must-have to enjoy a pretty good Sunday. That's why I'm wishing you loads of fun later on while enjoying a nice Sundayafternoon-"Kaffeeklatsch" with one, two cups of tasty Sundayafternooncoffee and one, two, three, four pieces of yummy Sundayafternooncake. And of course I'm wishing to all of you a great week on top - with another nice Sundayafternoon-"Kaffeeklatsch" at the end of this coming week. Then I will be sitting in my Christmas Room eating a piece of cake dedicated to all of you... or maybe two or three or four... ;O)

Liebe Grüße / Hugs

Shhhhhhh... bitte leise...

Hallo,

... today we really have to be quiet... *whisper* I myself tiptoed my way over here - because we all don't want to wake up the baby!

Yes, indeed, a baby... and not just any baby. This little prince with his blanket was a gift from dear Carmen - she gave away five of these treasures to faithful blogfriends and we have been lucky to be among these five. *beams-with-joy* And those who know Carmen know for sure that she is as talented as generous... and btw... there's still the possibility to join Carmen's latest giveway - with a little bit of luck you can win your own mini baby!!! So, if you haven't joined her sorteo yet - just click HERE!

*schmunzel*
And - what do you think... am I doing a good job as a babysitter? *smile*

But now I'm passing over to Rosey... because she wants to show something to you... and besides we don't want to take any risks - just let the little baby dream on. So I'm saying "bye" to you for today!

Liebe Grüße / Hugs

Auch von mir noch einmal herzlich hallo,
From me too a heartwarm hello,

*grins*
... I'm kind of amazed now how good Fluby is with taking care of little children... sometimes he really surprises me... *grin*

Surprise is also a very good keyword because Birgit too surprised me - with this piece you can see here:

This is lasercut paper, very thin but even adhesive at the back intended to simulate leaded glass in 1:12. Birgit has bought this from Arjen Spinhoven with the idea in mind to turn this into a suncatcher for my window. For this she glued it on transparent foil and coloured it gently with Window Color paint.

I really like this... especially because Birgit has chosen this rose motif with care just for me... *smile* And that's how my window is looking now:

At first sight you might think this might be a little too much of colours... but don't worry... after this small room is filled with the furniture and decoration everywhere - then... well then... everything else will be too much, too! *LOL* And I really like it - what more can a flower beary ask for than being greeted by a beautiful rose motif at first sight every morning after waking up and looking out of the window! Well, just in case I might not have mentioned this before - but I am indeed the most happiest flower beary in the whole wide world! ;O)

Liebe Grüße / Hugs

Willkommen im Juli

Hallo,

*seufz*... äh... wo war ich...)
... here we are... and the first half of 2014 is already history again! And I don't have the slightest idea where these six months have gone to - but I believe I'm not the only one... *wink* Well, at least Birgit has no idea neither. But hopefully the first half of the year was a good one for you - with more good and happy moments than with not so good and sad ones. I myself have no reason to complain - except when it comes to strawberries... well... there could have been many more for sure! (This is outrageous!!! Birgit is now ROFLing in the background saying noone would have ever expected this statement... *phhhhhhh* The things I have to bear here... this calls for sure for a compensation in form of an extra portion of strawberries!!! Oh my... strawberries... sweet, red, juicy, aromatic strawberries... *sigh*... eh... where was I...)

Ha!!!!!
Somehow Birgit is lucky that I am a true gentlebear... otherwise I would have thought it over if I should refuse to help her with her many calendars after her nasty giggling. But I can't help it - I can only be nice and a true darling and... (Note to self: For ROFLing again Birgit won't get away with less than two portions of strawberries!)... Let's have a look what our wisdom calendar wants to tell us this month... a saying by Carl Hilty (As always I'm not going to quote but try to say it in my own poor English). He said we should have an eye on the small things in the world because this would make our lives richer and more content. Ha!!!!! The calendar is on my side... because with my 9 beary centimeters I belong to the small things of the world you should keep an eye on. *grin* (Gimme strawberries, Birgit! Then your life will become richer and more content! *teehee*)

*schmunzel*
But of course I have some more nice thoughts in store to share with you at the new month's beginning - for example one by Francis of Assisi who said first we should do the necessary, then the possible and finally we're able to do the impossible. In strawberries this means: One portion of strawberries is necessary, two are possible and then I will manage to cope with three, four, five, six portions easily... (Birgit is just saying that would not be the intention of this thought... well - I think for sure it's right to transform these wise thoughts to fit your own needs... *tsssss*). And Jean Paul once said we should always weave small coloured dreams into the big dream of life. Yessssss!!! *beams-with-joy* Small coloured dreams... dreams of sweet, red, juicy, aromatic strawberries! (Birgit just said she is getting a headache... must be the result of her laughing about me! Ha!) And finally Honoré de Balzac once pointed out that whenever we're dreaming we should not waive of anything. Sure... especially when talking of strawberry portion No. 7, 8 and 9... *smile*

In this spirit I'm wishing to all of you a great July and a fantastic start into the 2nd half of the year. And don't forget to keep an eye at the small things and also not about the small coloured dreams... where you shouldn't forget of anything. You really deserve it! ;O)
