und herzlich willkommen zum Adventssonntagsnachmittagskaffeeklatsch am 2. Advent!
and a heartfelt welcome to our Adventsundayafternoon-"Kaffeeklatsch" at Advent 2nd!
 

 

2. Advent... also irgendwie läuft die Zeit im Dezember ja wohl noch schneller als sonst, oder??? Nachher wartet schon das nächste Adventspäckchen von Ilona auf uns *freu* - aber vorher zeigen wir Euch, was wir letzte Woche von ihr zum 1. Advent bekommen haben. (Link zu Ilonas Blog: https://minimumloon.blogspot.com/) Da waren einmal diese tollen Holzornamente...
Advent 2nd... well somehow in December time flies even more than it usually does, doesn't it??? Later on the next Advent package from Ilona is waiting for us *beams-with-joy* - but before we're coming to this we're going to show to you what we got from her last week for Advent 1st (Link to Ilona's blog: https://minimumloon.blogspot.com/). First of all were these awesome wooden ornaments…

           

… perfekt für eines von Birgits nächsten Projekten - was Ilona natürlich voll auf dem Schirm hatte. Wobei Rosey allerdings findet, dass man aus dem Muschel-Ornament auch sehr schön einen Fächer machen könnte. Ich weiß schon... und möglichst pink anmalen und Glitzer drauf... äh... ooops… lieber Weihnachtsmann, das war wirklich nur ein kleiner Witz unter Geschwistern... schnell weiter... denn die Holzornamente waren ja längst nicht alles, was Ilona uns geschickt hat, nein, da war noch etwas, was eigentlich ein Weihnachtsgeschenk hätte sein müssen, schaut mal:
… perfect for one of Birgit's future projects - which Ilona knew well for sure. Anyhow Rosey thinks this shell ornament would also be great when used as a fan. I know by now… let's better paint it pink and put some glitter on... eh... ooops… dear Santa, this was just a little joke among brother and sister… let's better continue… because the wooden ornaments weren't all that Ilona had sent to us, no, there was still something waiting that was for sure worth enough to be a Christmas gift, have a look:

Sind diese Mini-Weihnachtssterne nicht unfassbar schön? Naja... von Ilona gemacht, das ist ja ein echter Qualitätsstandard! *schmunzel* Letzten Donnerstag war ja Nikolaustag, da durften Rosey und ich dann endlich die Päckchen von Ilona aufmachen, die unseren Namen trugen. Überraschung!!!
Aren't these mini poinsettias just drop-dead-beautiful? Well... made by Ilona, that's for sure a trademark of its own! *smile* And last Thursday was St. Nicholas Day which meant Rosey and I were finally allowed to open the packages coming from Ilona which had our names written on them. Surprise!!!
 

 

Wir haben unsere Anfangsbuchstaben in Schokoladenform bekommen - eine niederländische Tradition zum Nikolaustag... der dort aber schon am 5. Dezember ist... und dort heißt der Nikolaus ja Sinterklaas und kommt zusammen mit dem Schwarzen Piet - dank Ilona auch zu uns:
Both of us received our initial letter as a piece of chocolate - a Dutch tradition at St. Nicholas Day... which they celebrate already at December 5th... and they're calling St. Nick "Sinterklaas" who is always in company of the "Swarte Piet" (Black Pete) - and thanks to Ilona they also visited us:

Mit Motiv von Marjolein Bastin… da hat Nina richtig gut aufgepasst! ;O) (Link zur Homepage von Marjolein Bastin: https://marjoleinbastin.com/) Vielen Dank, liebe Nina und liebe Riversider! Inzwischen haben uns auch weitere Weihnachtsgrüße erreicht... zum Beispiel aus Italien von Fabiola! Normalerweise machen wir Weihnachtsgeschenke ja erst an Heiligabend auf, weil Birgit ja bekanntermaßen der Meinung ist, dass alles seine Zeit haben muss und die Zeit für Weihnachtsgeschenke sei in Deutschland eben an Heiligabend… (blablabla… oh... ooops… hallo, lieber Weihnachtsmann... *schwitz*) - aber in diesem Fall kam der Gruß in einem Umschlag und den hat Birgit (!) geöffnet, weil sie schauen wollte, ob vielleicht eine Karte dabei ist. Nun, es kamen gleich diese wunderbaren Geschenke zum Vorschein... und mal ehrlich... man kann sich doch wohl auch Anfang Dezember schon mal so richtig über so viel Schönes freuen! Schaut mal:

In the meantime even more Christmas greetings have arrived at our place… for example from Italy coming from Fabiola! Usually we're not opening Christmas gifts before Christmas Eve evening because Birgit is well known for her opinion that everything should have its own time and the time for Christmas gifts would be Christmas Eve in Germany... (blablabla… eh... ooops… hello, dear Santa... *pant*) - but in this case the greeting came in an envelope which was opened by Birgit (!) who wanted to see if there was a card inside. Well, these fantastic gifts appeared at once… and let's be honest... it's no effort needed to enjoy wonderful things like these already at the beginning of December! Have a look:
 

 

Sind das nicht schöne Miniaturen? Aber das war noch nicht alles - das Beste kommt ja bekanntlich zum Schluß:

Wir haben dieses handgestickte Klingelband kürzlich noch auf Fabys Blog bewundert - und nun haben wir es bekommen... Wie toll ist das denn? Das wird einen Ehrenplatz in einem weiteren Zukunftsprojekt von Birgit bekommen, der Weihnachtswerkstatt. Vielen Dank an Fabiola für diesen lieben Weihnachtsgruß. Aber wir haben noch einen weiteren Weihnachtsgruß bekommen, der sogar noch weiter gereist war und uns vorher angekündigt wurde mit der ausdrücklichen Ansage, es gleich zu öffnen... denn darin würden sich Dinge für Birgits aktuelles Projekt befinden. Wollt Ihr raten, von wem es kam? Nun... von einer der liebsten und großzügigsten Bloggerinnen überhaupt. Gut, da gibt es mehr als eine, also noch ein Hinweis... es war selbstgemachtes Spielzeug drin. Nun werden bestimmt schon einige "Ah!" sagen... für alle anderen noch ein letzter Hinweis - das Päckchen kam aus Israel! We've been admiring this handstitched bell band at Faby's blog lately - and now we got it... How great is that? This will get a place of honor in another future project of Birgit which is the Christmas workshop. Thank you so much, Fabiola, for sending this kind Christmas greeting to us. But we've received another Christmas greeting that had to travel even longer and which was announced in advance to us with the clear instruction that we should open it at once… because inside of it were things being dedicated to Birgit's actual project. Would you like to guess who has sent it to us? Well, it came from one of the most dearest and generous bloggers around. Okay, there are some more who fit in this scheme so here's another hint… inside were selfmade toys. By now some of you will probably shout "Ah!" already - for everybody else one last hint - the package came from Israel! And now it's pretty clear… *smile* - these awesome miniatures were sent to us by Drora! (Link to Drora's blog: http://drorasminimundo.blogspot.com/)
 

 

Sind die nicht allerliebst? Die Pferdchen werden auch in die Weihnachtswerkstatt kommen... und die Ziehtiere bekommen einen Ehrenplatz in "Toyland" - genau wie jeweils ein Exemplar von denen hier:

Zusätzlich zu den Miniaturen von Drora hat Birgit noch ein paar Minitiere von Playmobil gefunden (Link zur Homepage von Playmobil: https://www.playmobil.de/), alles andere habt Ihr aber schon mal gesehen... bis auf eines... die kleine Holzeisenbahn haben wir Euch beim letzten Mal nicht gezeigt. Das hier hat Birgit aus der Lok gemacht...

Next to the miniatures coming from Drora Birgit has also added a few mini animals by Playmobil (link to the website of Playmobil: https://www.playmobil.de/), everything else you're going to see was already shown by us… except for one thing… we didn't show the little wooden train the last time. This is what Birgit made out of the locomotive…

Die neue Bude macht sich richtig gut auf dem BiWuBären-Weihnachtsmarkt. Vorläufig müsst Ihr mir das aber einfach mal glauben, denn heute zeigen wir Euch erst mal nur einen kleinen Teil von unserem Weihnachtsmarkt.
This new stall fits very well to the BiWuBeary Christmas Market. But at the moment you'll have no other choice than to believe my word because today we'll only show a small part of our Christmas Market to you.
 

 

Als erfahrene Blogbärchen haben Rosey und ich auch in diesem Jahr wieder darauf geachtet, Aufnahmen der Buden bereits beim Aufbau zu machen - weil es später einfach zu voll ist zum Fotografieren. Und wir beginnen traditionell mit der Glashütte!
Being experienced blogbearies Rosey and I paid once more in this year attention to the fact that it's better to take pictures from the booths before the big opening - because afterwards it's just too crowded to take pictures. As usual we're starting our tour with the "Glashütte" (= glass hut or glass booth)!

 

Und weiter geht's mit der Nachbarbude... einem absoluten Favoriten aller BiWuBärchen - der Weihnachtsbäckerei!
And we continue with the next one in line… an all time favourite of all BiWuBearies - the "Weihnachtsbäckerei" (= Christmas bakery)!
 

 

Lecker... es ist nur immer so schwierig, sich für eine der vielen Leckereien zu entscheiden... es sei denn man ist ein ganz bestimmtes Flatterbärchen mit einer klitzekleinen Schwäche für Erdbeeren... *hihi* Birgit hat auch den großen Weihnachtsbaum von unserem Weihnachtsmarkt noch einmal etwas überarbeitet... sie fand, es fehlte ein wenig an Farbe - und ganz Unrecht hatte sie damit nicht, wie man auf diesem Foto aus dem letzten Jahr sehen kann.
Yummy… but it's always difficult to choose among all those tasty treats… except if you happen to be a certain flutterybeary with a teenytiny weakness for strawberries… *teehee* And Birgit has also made a few additions to the big Christmas tree of our Christmas market… in her opinion there was some colour missing still... and she was not mistaken saying this as you can see at this picture taken last year.

Da konnten sich Jolly und das Engelchen noch so viel Mühe geben... Birgit hat jetzt einige rote Kugeln ergänzt... und ein paar Goldvögel mit Schwänzen aus echten Federn haben auch noch Platz genommen.
Although Jolly and the little angel were doing their best... But now Birgit has added some red baubles… and some golden birds with tails made of real feathers found a place on it too.

Die kleine Mühe hat sich doch gelohnt... zumal Birgit ihre Materialien dafür sowieso schon auf dem Arbeitstisch liegen hatte. Eine ihrer Tanten hatte sie nämlich gebeten, einen kleinen Weihnachtsbaum aufzuhübschen, den Birgit ihrer Tante vor Jahren einmal geschenkt hatte. Wir haben leider kein Vorher-Bild von dem Tannenbaum, denn so schnell konnte keiner gucken wie Birgit alles davon runter gerissen hat bis nur noch der nackte Baum übrig blieb. *kicher* Und dann gab's ein kleines Birgit-Makeover… und weil der Baum ja nicht für eine Miniaturenszene bestimmt ist sondern als normale Weihnachtsdeko hat Birgit noch ein Teelichtglas besorgt, was nicht nur nett aussieht sondern auch gleich noch das Batteriefach aufnimmt.
This bit of work was worth the time... especially because Birgit had her materials lying on her work desk already. One of her aunts had asked her to trim up a little Christmas tree that Birgit had given to this aunt many years ago. Sadly we can't show a before-picture of this tree because Birgit had ripped up everything in a wink of an eye and only the bare naked tree was still there in the end. *giggle* And then it was time for a little Birgit-makeover… and because this tree is not dedicated to a miniature scene but will become part of a normal Christmas decoration Birgit has bought a tealight glass which is not only looking good but serves as a hiding place for the battery box too.

Hoffen wir mal, dass es Birgits Tante gefallen wird... die wird ihn heute am 2. Advent nämlich bekommen. Und während Birgit in Familie macht, werden Rosey und ich nachher (nach einem schönen, gemütlichen Adventssonntagsnachmittagskaffeeklatsch natürlich) auf dem BiWuBären Weihnachtsmarkt all unsere Freunde treffen und die Erdbeertorte wird ja wohl hoffentlich auch noch auf mich warten. *grins* Ihr dagegen müsst Euch noch etwas gedulden, denn die anderen Buden zeigen wir Euch beim nächsten Mal. Jaja... wie meine Birgit zu sagen pflegt, die Adventszeit bedeutet nun mal, dass man warten muss auf das, was da kommen wird... schließlich kommt Advent von "adventus" = Ankunft. Und a propos Ankunft... ich warte jetzt noch auf die Ankunft meiner kleinen Schwester in Christmas Cottage. Ah, da kommt sie ja!
Let's hope that Birgit's aunt will like it... she is going to get it today at Advent 2nd. And while Birgit is spending her time with the family Rosey and I will meet our friends later on at the BiWuBeary Christmas Markt (after enjoying a nice and cozy Adventsundayafternoon-"Kaffeeklatsch" first) and I really hope that this strawberry cake will still be waiting for me there. *grin* Sadly you'll need to be patient still because we won't be showing the other stalls before next time. Well, it's like my Birgit always is saying, the time of Advent means in fact that we'll have to wait for something to come… because Advent comes from the Latin "adventus" which means arrival. And speaking of arrival… I too am awaiting the arrival of my little sis' at Christmas Cottage. Ah, here she comes!

Schließlich kann der Adventssonntagsnachmittagskaffeeklatsch am 2. Advent nur stattfinden, wenn beide Kerzen leuchten. *schmunzel* Wir wünschen Euch einen schönen 2. Advent mit einem schönen gemütlichen Adventssonntagsnachmittagskaffeeklatsch mit ein, zwei Tässchen leckerem Adventssonntagsnachmittagskaffee und ein, zwei, drei, vier Stückchen oberleckerem Adventssonntagsnachmittagskuchen. Und eine schöne Zeit bis zum 3. Advent wünschen wir Euch natürlich auch! ;O)
