Neues aus der Hexenküche

Hallo,

*grins*
... today I'd like to show to you Birgit's latest work for the new witch tower. I think you still remember - I've been able to show you the stove already. In the meantime I had to learn that even witches have to care about boring stuff like washing the dishes... but they are on the luckier side than us because they can afford housekeepers. *grin*

So, it was about time for a sink after the stove was done. And so Birgit bought another piece made of barewood - I'm convinced some of you will recognize this piece.

Now you'll have to look closer to spot the difference. Birgit carved notches into the wood to make it look old and used. And she also cut two little frames out of cardboard for the storage space above. And not to forget - she also cut off the pedestial because with this the whole piece has been a little bit too tall.

Nun war es Zeit für die Farbe!
Time for colour!

And after that a lot of Birgit's special touch was attached!

Now you know why Birgit made those frames - the tiles had been too high to fit without them. Yes, those are real burnt mini tiles! But this was not all, there were some details that had to be added still.

Also, ich find's klasse.
I really like it that way. Somehow Birgit is keeping up to making "Witchy Chic". Btw there are four bats to be found on it, No. 4 found its place directly beyond the copper sink. And here you can see the new sink together with the stove:

A beautiful couple, don't you agree? *giggle* Well, I'm curious what Birgit will do next... at the moment she's busy with some aluminium foil... hmmmm... well, I promise to you: Agent Flutterby will keep his eyes and ears open! ;O)

Liebe Grüße / Hugs
Flutterby

Hi Birgit!
Sandra

Hello Flutterby,
Please tell brigit her work blows me away. It looks beautiful, well made, fun, and magical...all the things that minioatures should be! I guess the witches must be getting very impatient to move in.
Big hug,
Giac
N.B. I hope Brigit is not shoveling anymore

I think you should be called detective Flutterby. If it was my house I would have the fly swat out to catch those bats.

Wow a change. It is quite amazing how similar furniture, can look so different. that is why it is so exciting about this hobby.
It works so well with the small frame around and gives a good whole together with your stove.
Thank you so much for your kind and recognize comment on my last post.
Hugs and many thoughts from a nice sunny Copenhagen

*seufz*... Bärchenhexe müsste man sein...

Oh, I just LOVE this kitchen already!!! The tiles are so Beautiful and the "Witchy Chic" Decor is Perfect!!!
I must tell you that the bats remind me of one time in my old Farm House we had an AGA stove that was not in use during the hot Summer... and I found bats trapped in the flue where the air enters the stove!!! They were squeaking quite loudly in their efforts to get out through the grille.... I had to rescue them and let them go outdoors!!!

Thank you, Agent Flutterby! I'm glad you're staying on the case! ;-) Your Birgit sure is talented--those tiles are gorgeous, and everything coordinates so well. xo Jennifer

Lieber Flutterby,

Liebe Grüße

Margriet, I think bat poop is very desirable in the beary-witchy world. It's the Witchy Shit (heh heh), as Birgit calls it.

Apparently, they are very good for soup (taste just like chicken) and if you use them to wash your pots and pants (no spelling error), they will shine like ebony and tear at the appropriate places! Smells too! :):)

And who needs a housekeeper if you have Birgit. She is a talented builder, a hardworking carpenter and a superb snow shoveller!

Birgit, beautiful job with that stove. In no time at all, you will make master stove-sink-shaker! Get ready to open a factory due to the high demand in the witchy world!!!
