Es war einmal... Wahrheit und Legende

Hallo,

Also - los geht's:
... during autumn it's the season for reading and maybe telling tales. That's why - in case you have the time and would like to - I'm going to read another story from our fairytale book to you. But this time the story wasn't written by us, it's from someone very special, our dear friend Melli. Okay - let's start:

"Once upon a time... in a far away country known by only a few people but being visited by almost anybody. In the country that is called "Island of Tears" there lived little, furry beings, who were called "Tear Driers".
"Tear Driers" have big pointed ears who will listen to all your sorrow, loving eyes full of attention, a mouth that will always give away a gentle smile, strong shoulders to lean on, soft hands to pet you when you're in need for comfort, big feet to stand next to their human being, a big heart with loads of comprehension and they eat the sadness of human beings.

Tear Driers live for a long, long time without nourishment simply sleeping. Only when they perceive that a very dear human being is totally upset their stomache starts grumbling. This causes them to stop their sleeping and they're heading towards the people who need them.

They stay with him, support him, comfort him, dry his tears and are eating a bit of his sorrow every day. In case the sadness is very big, it might take a little longer, but sometime even the biggest sorrow will be eaten up so the human being of the Tear Drier can be happy again."

Ah, that's it for this time... what a beautiful legend! But as things go with legends... sometimes there is a little bit of truth hiding in them... We know for sure that by now  three Tear Driers were heading on their way to their human beings, just to stand by them if they might become sad - or to listen to a flutterybeary reading their tale, won't you agree, Pomoc?

Pomoc: As long as I'm not needed I still have the time for this... It was fun listening to my own story.
Flutterby: At least after your arrival you were able to eat something for the first time in your life...

Pomoc: Right, but these were tears of joy and happiness... but at the moment Birgit doesn't need my help - and that's alright, but whenever she will need me, I'll be there for her. That's why I was born...
Flutterby: I'm really glad you don't eat strawberries, Pomoc... what do you think - shall we take some more pictures?
Pomoc: Sounds interesting, let's go!

Tear Driers are quite huge, at least from the view of a flutterybeary. But Pomoc, which is Czech for support, is a really nice chap.

And above all - he has the smoothest fur you could ever think of. Believe me - compared to this the skin of a baby would remind you of sanding paper!

But what we both really wanted to say is:

DANKE!!!!!!!!
Thanks!!!!!!!!

Thanks to our dear friend, the Nightowl, for sending Pomoc to us. We are enchanted and will always cherish him - but we hope we don't have to feed him too soon. But a Tear Drier can easily forgive this. Thanks for this incredible gift!

We hope, noone of you is in need of a Tear Drier - and in case you might wonder... there's no reason to worry about us, we're fine. Our friend Melli only thought it would be better to be prepared for whatever life may bring us! Well...  ;O) By the way, Pomoc wasn't alone during his trip, there was yet another gift in the parcel - but we're going to show it to you another time.

Liebe Grüße / Hugs
Flutterby & Pomoc

Melli

Hello flutterby,
Welcome Pomoc, What a lovely friend to have around. I hope he will bring you happiness when you need it, as much as you and Brigit and everyone else bring us when we need to forget sadness and smile.
Big hugs,
